We found it odd that Katie Holmes has been conspicuously covering her hands and wearing gloves recently.
And now we know why!
It appears that the actress' hands are discolored.
Holmes showed off some very dark hands - which do not match her face - while out and about in Los Angeles on Wednesday.
Could that be the result of a burn???
Is that for her role on Eli Stone????

Are we even sure that is Katie's hand????? 1. There is no wedding ring or any rings for that matter on that hand. 2. Tom and Katie are standing pretty far apart to be holding hands that way. and 3. If you look in the back window of the truck, there is an image of someone that looks to be standing behind Tom, could this be the person who's hand is showing in this picture. Yeah, I'm with you there, I once saw a girl in ER that had taken too much for some home health remedy, she was purplish black/brown. Of course, the Liver Failure is a much more serious effect of Niacin overdose, hence the concern about it's use, in Scientology and other quack plans. If she stops taking it, the colour will go away. Hope that's all she has.
My guess is she had a Blue Peel on her hands to 'de age' them. The Blue peel is probably what MJ had done to his face and body. It burns off several layers of skin to reveal the pale skin below.

This skin discoloration is most likely due to Reynaud's Phenomena. Basically, the blood vessels in the hands and feet constrict and cause the skin to turn red, then white, then blue. This also causes them to be VERY cold. Stress is well-known to exacerbate this condition or to cause flare ups.

I think she may have Raynaud's Syndrome. I have it and it is a circulation problem. Your extremeties get cold all the time and often get sort of super-white or almost blue or sometimes very red and sometimes swell. You can also get blotches on your arms and legs and are more prone to varicose veins. Also hard to get a blood test.
Her wearing gloves and the hands being off color would make sense if my diagnosis is correct.

My husband is a physician and said it may be Raynaud's disease. It is a disease where the blood vessels in the hands spasm and close. The hands first turn red, then white, and finally blue. She would wear gloves or do things to keep her hands warm because the attacks are elicited by cold. It is usually associated with serious connective tissue diseases like scleroderma and lupus.
