Ugh, this show is so overrated, I watched like the first five minutes of anepisode and it sucked, WHEN WILL IT FINALLY GO OFF THE AIR.

  3. Dann says – reply to this

    203

If you let your tweens watch this show, and then they go and get preggers, it doesn't fall back onto the show.
…maybe you should be paying for attention or tell the little whore to wear a condom..

  4. lovas says – reply to this

    204

all of the drama is a little ridiculous.
it's on the CW so there isn't even any nudity.
let's kids watch the damn show and call it a day.

  5. Laura says – reply to this

    205

    Absolutely not - NEVER.

  6. macsw says – reply to this

    206

No, i wouldn't. I'd BE a parent. Some people clearly have forgotten the meaning of that. Sorry, but television shouldn't be the babysitter.

I absolutely love the show and can't wait for next season.

  7. sm519 says – reply to this

    207

ok well im 13 and absolutely love this show….just because it shows some people making out and kinda having sex it doesn't mean im going to go and have sex. i'm so sick of people thinking that if something is on tv that teens will go and do that…IT'S STUPID!!

  8. 208

SO TIRED… NOT ONLY WOULD I PROHIBIT MY TWEEN/TEEN WATCH IT… I WOULD EXPLAIN TO THEM WHY… THEY SHOULD BE CONTRIBUTING TO SOCIETY IN THOUGHTFUL AND INTELLIGENT WAYS, NOT CONTRIBUTE TO THE RISE OF BULLYING, DECEIT, STDs AND PREGNANCY RATES…

  9. zoe says – reply to this

    209

i'm 22 and i loveee the show…def a guilty pleasure…but i would neverrrr let my children watch it. i wouldnt want any teens under 17 watching this!!1

    210

This ad campaign is freakin brilliant.
I love the show, but as racy as it is, the books make it look G-rated.

  11. Taco says – reply to this

    211

That show is fucking ridiculously awful. I can't believe people are actually paid to write the dumb story lines the cheesy kids on the show have to act out.

  12. Brahm says – reply to this

    212

TV reflects reality, not the other way around. Fuck all you prudish religitards that think sex is evil.

  13. hope says – reply to this

    213

    actually.
    the show is for TEENS.
    not tweens??

  14. Abby says – reply to this

    214

My philosophy with kids is let them see this crap when they're young so they get it out of their system. When I was younger at about age eight my favorite movie was the South Park Movie and i turned out fine. At age 3 I was watching rated R movies and so by the time I was older nothing surprised me. Just let you kids watch it because they probably will anyway and it's a great show.

  15. erika says – reply to this

    215

its funny how they're supposed to be juniors in high school….

  16. Iks says – reply to this

    216

Parents have to trust their kids that they realize it's just television. Plus, parents have to trust themselves that they raised their children well enough that they wouldn't do that. Also, I know people in my high school that have done things much worse than what they do sexually. I don't think a show will automatically alter someone's morals unless that person was like that to begin with.

  17. yeaa says – reply to this

    217

wow mady you really do need to get that chip off your shoulder- sure, young girls may compare themselves to what they see in the media, but ultimately it's the self-esteem and confidence they have in themselves which determines whether or not they see themselves as more than just someone good for sex.

  18. Jesse says – reply to this

    218

I DONT UNDERSTAND THAT SHOW HOW OLD ARE THE CHARACTERS SUPPOSE TO BE? I SEE THEM DRINKIN AND BANGIN
WTF LMAO OMG FFS PMSL GOSSIP GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  19. 219

Who gives a fuck, I wouldn't care if my kids watched it.

  20. Britt says – reply to this

    220

I don't see what the big deal is. I don't find it to be very racy at all. In fact, most of the time it's boring.
Gossip Girl fits into today's world. My generation went along with 90210 - Brenda and Dylan had sex when she was underage. It's all the same. The only problem is now all these 15 year olds are running around with Tiffany necklaces, Dior shades and a Marc Jacobs bag. If I was a parent I would worry about about going bankrupt supporting their materialism.

  21. Kris says – reply to this

    221

K most of the "kids" that are saying ya I would are not parents cause if you were parents there is no way. Don't get me wrong I like the show but I don't want my kid watching it and I realize kids are going to do what they want but I am not going to help get ideas in her head. I am way too young to be a grandma and I won't be the one raising a kid. Before you type shit how about really think if you are not a parent think if you were do you want your kid to be doing shit like that and having a chance of getting pregnant or other shit that goes along with it. Its a serious question so I know its hard for "kids" to think like that but if your going to post something how about actually thinking about it!

  22. Sky says – reply to this

    222

Hey Perez newsflash leighton and Ed are important characters………..always black and chace….

  23. Lucky says – reply to this

    223

OMG this show's the BEST!!!!! can't wait for the 2nd season!!!!!!!!

  24. andre says – reply to this

    224

I like to watch this show the guys are hot but I wouldn´t let any kid to watch this cause even thought they say is harmeless they obviously aren´t mature enough to understand that real life is not be taken that lighly

  25. Meg says – reply to this

    225

    hell yes i would

  26. Haile says – reply to this

    226

I'm a "tween" and its not like anything on this show I haven't already heard of. This show doesn't introduce me or influence me in anyway to act like their acting. Its just a show i enjoy watching =]. Parents need to have more faith in their kids, most of em' won't be influenced to do things based on shows. If you raised your kids right things like this isnt a problemm

  27. marce says – reply to this

    227

Who's the girl with Chace in that second picture?

PS. If you don't want your kids watching the show, don't let them. If you don't like it, get over it. Quit bitching, people.

  28. 228

GG is a GREAT show! LOVE it!

  29. erin says – reply to this

    229

i think the ads are done that way to grab people's attention. i myself have read the books and watched the show. the books are more racy than the show, i think. the ads look super sexual but in the show, i don't think it's as bad as the ads portray it to be.

  30. oaijs says – reply to this

    230

i am 13. i watch the show. love itt
    its not that inapropriate

  31. MEGAN says – reply to this

    231

i would … the ads really aren't THAT bad

  32. laura says – reply to this

    232

im 18 and a senior in school pretty much everything that happens on the show i have seen happen since i was in 8th grade, so yes i would let my tween watch it. its not like they dont already see that in their daily lives regardless of television.
not to mention the show is AMAZING!!

  33. danie says – reply to this

    233

:) i can't wait for it to come back! it's addicting and such an amazing show eeeeep i'm so excited:)

  34. S says – reply to this

    234

this so does not premote underage sex.
with or without this show thousands of teenagers have sex the same age as the characters in this show.
i am 13 and i love this show. it doesn't show anything that i dont already know. its a good show.
    gg is awsome!

  35. birdy says – reply to this

    235

As a woman I love this show, as a Mom of teens..no way can they watch it with me.

  36. miche says – reply to this

    236

    im 14
    i love this show
my mom just laughs at me, though she likes the OC better
and i just wanted to mention how hot chace looks in the bottom picture

  37. andy says – reply to this

    237

I love this show!! It's so good! I can't wait until fall when it comes back. I think the parents who shelter their kids from watching shows like this are the ones who will be early grandparents…or the ones taking their kids to the abortion clinic. Yikes!

  38. naty5 says – reply to this

    238

this is fucken retarded….the show is NOT as bad as the ads make it out to be….it's such an exaggeration…if it was bad, i wouldn't let my 15 year old sister watch it…it's soooo goood! and it's really not bad at all….but these fucken adssssssssssssssssssss!

  39. laura says – reply to this

    239

    OH STFU
    its a fucking show!
i love it but whoever decides to be like serena is fucked up already (:

  40. Braid says – reply to this

    240

i love gossip girl it isnt for little kids but it great for 16 and up

  41. Juneb says – reply to this

    241

I'm 35 and LUV LUV LUV this show!!! def not for tweens. PG13 atleast.

  42. Felic says – reply to this

    242

Hell to the NO, I won't let my tween watch this show!

  43. 243

what do u mean "let" ?

we all know that tweens do what ever the fuck they want to do nowadays - regardless of what parents "want". LOL

even if their parent block or lock the show…theres always the internet! HELLO? ;)

    get with the program, meng.

  44. mads says – reply to this

    244

the show is entertaining. i'm not an idiot so i don't go out and repeat their dumb mistakes. if my kid is smart, i'll let them watch.

  45. tween says – reply to this

    245

hahahaaa … im a tween myself.

personally, i dont live by the way people act on gossip girl. so people should stop acting like they r supposed to set an example for us. parents shouldn't let kids have celebrities as their role model.

gossip girl is one of my favorite shows. i actually got my whole family to watch it ( including my dad hahaha).

tweens should be smarter than doing whatever people are doing on tv. no gossip girl does not influence me to drink, do drugs, or have sex. tweens should do what they believe is right and not follow other people.

  46. hnnh says – reply to this

    246

chace has no facial expression. he's a marissa cooper version 2.0!

  47. marie says – reply to this

    247

No and I don't like the ad. I like to watch adult shows but I don't agree with promoting something not appropriate for tweens. Its encouraging disregarding parent's trying to protect their kids from really bad messages.

  48. Music says – reply to this

    248

    I LOVEEEEEE this show!!
It's truly amazing, but if I were a parent, I don't know if I would let my tween watch it…but I would give it a chance.
But as a teen..I CANNOT GET ENOUGH of this show! :D

  49. Aish says – reply to this

    249

Gossip Girl inappropriate?? bitch please, you haven't seen "inappropriate" till you see Skins :)

  50. Zoe says – reply to this

    250

I'm really irked with all these parents who say that their child should not be allowed to watch the show.I mean, give it some thought.Who honestly watches things like that and goes,OMG,I'm going to get preggers?Trying to shield your kid from every little provocative show or whatevs will likely lead to rebellion.Watching some dumb TV show isn't going to motivate anyone, regardless of age,to experiment.I mean, honestly.

  51. corin says – reply to this

    251

i'm 15 and i watch this show, but i'm very smart, i would never do any of the shit on this show until i'm older. if i had a tween (10-12ys old) i wouldn't let them watch it. they lost thier virgiity at 6ths grade on this show WTF?! and flavor flav at age 6? WTFH?! he wuz probs lying though

  52. K says – reply to this

    252

    Re: blah

Couldnt have said it better myself !

  53. Annie says – reply to this

    253

I think part of the appeal of the show is that it's so cosmopolitan and unrealistic…if young teenagers (and their parents) expect teen-hood to be like that, they're sorely mistaken. This is just a show geared towards mid-to-late teenagers. All shows have an intended audience…

  54. yanne says – reply to this

    254

I think the posters just make Gossip Girl all the more interesting - pushing the envelope, making it more like the forbidden fruit! I watch it and I love it! And it really isn't that inappropriate >:

  55. AMB57 says – reply to this

    255

yea, its like a real teens life

  56. Gee says – reply to this

    256

    GENIUS. GENIUS!

  57. dinah says – reply to this

    257

okay i am 12 years old and i adore this show. all of these parents that watch opera can so —k off

    love Dinah Lohan :P

  58. Shann says – reply to this

    258

hey, well im 14 and i watch this show. but, i do think that there just trying to get more contosvery then the show actually deserves.
many of the episodes are not in the least inapporite, so these commercials are just trying to make them seem really bad.. when their actually not. The OC also another popular show among young people was in my opinon alot more inapporite then gossip girl by far. but, things these days are getting worse and worse all the time in showing your body and sexuality from these people in the industry

  59. Jenni says – reply to this

    259

I am 11 and i luv that show

  60. Amand says – reply to this

    260

I LOOOOVE THAT SHOWW!!! ITS AWESOME!!!
…but I dont think its fit for people under the age of thirteen :S
I guess it depends on the kid

  61. fallo says – reply to this

    261

whether the parents like it or not, it really is what goes on in the teenage scene..

  62. JD says – reply to this

    262

Aaaaawesome, the new season. This show is so… (cn't find a word)

Is there a fuss about this show because it's hot ?
Yes, is it hot ? OK, I'm learning something.
I'm kidding. But I mean that this show doesn't show (2x) so many hot scenes. There are much more hot/sex scenes in any (almost) other series…

  63. 263

They got the story right. A parents worst nightmare. As a parent of a 16 year old…..uh, yeah, NIGHTMARE!!! No, she will not be watching.

  64. LAME says – reply to this

    264

LAME, they're DESPERATE for ratings LOL the ratings for this show suck and I can see why, the show is boring as fuck and there's not even sex in it, not that Im looking for sex on a tv show, I have the internet for that, but if they promote sex in such a desperate way then they should show it, Im not going to go on and on about how bad the show is for kids, I don't give a fuck, but the show is BAD, the storylines are DULL and the acting is LAUGHABLE, terrible terrible TERRIBLE show, just another cliched teen show, Im glad it's a flop.

  65. Alisa says – reply to this

    265

WTF? That's an advertisement for a *tween* show!? That looks like the cover of a porn video. If I had kids, I would not let them watch trash like that.

  66. 266

Personally I wouldn't want my daughter to watch this show however, as a grown woman myself who knows the difference between reality and fiction, I enjoy this show as a guilty pleasure.

  67. Krist says – reply to this

    267

NO NO NO NO NO I would not let my child/tween/teen watch it. The media is oversexualized already…so why would I let my child sit down in front of a show that advertises sex w/o consequence. I don't need to be a 30 something grandma.. no thank you

  68. T. says – reply to this

    268

I am a 26 year old mother who loves gossip girl, I think it is one of the only shows about teens having sex that actually show the use of protection…GOOD JOB GOSSIP GIRL..80% of teens have sex before they are 18 so it is reality that this is happening..at least they are showing condoms or making reference to them

  70. Jenni says – reply to this

    270

THIS SHOW IS AMAZING….IT IS NOT OVER OR OVERATED. IT IS GREAT, INTERSESTING AND I LOVE IT!!!
    GOSSIP GIRLS ROCK!!

    271

not trying to be mean but serena is not that pretty to me, im tired of seeing her fuck everything in sight, and plus she's really whiney. blair or someone new needs to be on top, im getting sick of serena.
and hell no i wouldn't let my kids watch it.

  72. doll says – reply to this

    272

Although I do not support the suggestive ads, I watch the show and love it. It is definitely not for young girls though. Those in their late teens and up are generally mature enough to watch this.

  73. Calli says – reply to this

    273

I am 16 and absolutely love this show.
So does every girl my age.
This show is supposed to be of people my age and everything in the show happens in our generation, I mean, its a lot closer to real life than it seems.
If our parents know we watch it?
    Absolutely!

  74. jen says – reply to this

    278

    OMG I LOVE THIS SHOW!!
I mean in all seriousness could Chance get any smexier??
As for that pic of S is it just me or does that look a hell of alot like Dan's jaw…Oh good god in the heavens, I pray to please let Darena back together!

But where the frick is the pic of Chuck? and B?

  79. kstar says – reply to this

    279

The problem with half the ppl commenting on this and most americans are that everything is taken so seriously..and why for the love of god do you always do everything that happens on tv ..this is rare or non existent in most other cultures..just coz the ppl in the little box are doing it doesnt mean you have to… gossip girl is a guilty pleasure.period..it is meant to entertain not lead by example and perez u flaming retard ,the target audience is not tween in is 16- 25..please check your sources..
maybe all of you should stop watching the news or reading the paper coz then maybe we'll all turn into vagabond militants and kill everyone else..and dont watch the new batman movie coz ur kids might think they're a superhero and jump off buildings

  80. kst says – reply to this

    280

And btw television is a reflection of what really goes on..maybe slightly exaggerated but still..it only mirrors what really goes on .. so FRANN and other self righteous ignorant idiots, please go to your kids schools and actually figure out what they're doing..if u werent so self righteous they would tell u..
and i agree with UMMM, it does reflect ur upbringing..

  81. alexd says – reply to this

    281

the books were much, much better. the show is boring compared to the books. i read the book when i was 18 and it was pretty graphic. im for sexual expression but heck no when youre a freaking child. i believe my little sister learned sex from those books. those ads are definitely pushing it, the show is not all about sex but the ads are. and since they are aimed at tweens.. lol thats how little girls become whores

  82. Kimbe says – reply to this

    282

No way, their ad goes too far in the wrong direction.

  83. Taylo says – reply to this

    283

I'm fourteen and I watch this show. Its brilliant.

  84. Lo says – reply to this

    284

  88. t says – reply to this

This show is NOTHING compared to the books.
The books are way worse than the tv shows.
    Let them watch it IMO.

  89. betti says – reply to this

    289

You just like the show or hate is…..fine. But saying it's not for kids is soso stupid!! There is so much shit on TV and GG is not at all the worst example. If If there is problems in the family it's something that runs in the family and friends not what's all on TV.

  90. JJp says – reply to this

    290

    HELL YAAH!

  93. ashme says – reply to this

    293

hmm im 16 and i love gossip girl but i wouldnt let my tween watch it, and if parents are too stupid to let their kids watch it then its their fault so they can get over it.
