The box office numbers are in and….
The Dark Knight shattered the record previously set by Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith for most moolah made from midnight screenings.
The highly anticipated new Batman flick made a staggering $18.4 million 'overnight'.
DAYUM! $18 million big ones for JUST midnight shows in one night?!
Hollywood's now waiting to see if Dark Knight will beat Spider-Man 3's opening day record of $59.84 million and the all-time best opening weekend record of $151.11 million (also set by Spider-Man 3).
Looks like it probably will to us!

I saw the Dark Knight yesterday here in Brazil and it was truly something. Everyone should see it. All the actors were amazing. Heath is up to Hannibal Lecter as the best vilan in a movie. Christian Bale e Michael Cane are even better that in Batman Begins. Eckhart amazing! Freeman amazing! Oldman amazing! Maggie way better than Holmes. Direction superb!!!! It’s about 2h30m long, however it looks like 1 hour. It couldn’t have been shorter, great action from the first scene til the end. It needs to break Spider-Man3 records because it’s a much superior flick!!!!

Unreal. Saw the movie today and it is by far the best this year and is an amazing all around tour de force; It deserves to be huge. Such a stellar film. And regardless of all the hating on heath ledger hype; he really does kick ass in this. Better than Jack and that is the ultimate compliment…..
WOW WOW WOW Just got back from seeing this movie. The best Batman ever and I mean ever. Heath Ledger was the most creepy, fantastic villian ever played in a Batman film. (What a gift he left to be remembered by.) But the whole cast was as brilliant and awesome. I will watch this again and would say that about very few films.

I saw the movie last night and wow, the movie blew me away. Heath Ledger most definatly stole the show. His performance was OUTSTANDING, yet a bit creepy ha. He is by far the best joker. Overall the movie was awesome, i def recommend it to everyone
