The Los Angeles Times just ran this very interesting article about LezLo and saMAN Ronson and why the mainstream media has taken the unusual step of "outing" them and their same-sex relationship.
Naturally, Lohan refused to comment for the article, though her publicist did say that Lindsay "wants to keep her private life private."
Uh huh!
What's especially interesting, though, is that editors of Us Weekly, People and Page Six all declined to comment for the article.
But, thankfully, Perez did speak!
Perez Hilton, whose website perezhilton.com regularly exposes perceived inconsistencies and hypocrisies in famous people and institutions, has also found himself wondering about this subject. "I've been fascinated by the reluctance of anyone in the mainstream media to talk on the record about the issue," Hilton said in an interview. "Most of these big media organizations — still to this day — have an unwritten policy against, quote, 'outing' people.
"What's especially interesting to me is that the publication that first jumped on the Lindsay-and-Samantha relationship bandwagon . . . is People magazine! And People magazine, of all the celebrity weeklies, is the tamest, the most celebrity-friendly and the most by-the-book. I'm fascinated by why they're doing it. I'm not saying it's a bad thing, it's just surprising to me."
So why won't People — or US or Page Six — say why Lohan and Ronson's relationship is different than other same-sex celebrity relationships that they ignore? "Maybe because they have no good explanation for it," Hilton said.
Ronson also refused to comment for the article.

What I want to know is why anyone cares. Please Mario, why is it so important to you to delve into the sex lives of other people. I don't see you giving us minute by minute details of your sexual relationships, and yet you think your entitled to spill it on everyone else. I'm not sure I understand why, unless it's because your jealous that they have relationships (either hetero or same-sex) and you dont?
You might want to investigate your own motivations. They will "come out" or they won't. Either way it's not going to change the way I live if I know that Lindsey and Samantha are lovers, friends or whatever. WHO THE FUCK CARES.
i think it's just sad that people won't accept people for who they are. if they are a couple….great. people need to realize that this isn't the '50s anymore and being gay isn't a disease, crime, vile, etc. love is love…whatever the genders are. i'm friends with plenty of gay couples, and they all have the same ups and downs as any other married couple. plus i have to say they are AWESOME parents. it's time that all states legalize and recognized same sex marriages. stop being so homophobic. they deserve the same rights as opposite sex marriages. as for lindsey and sam…let them live there lives. lindsey has never looked happier. btw..i am a straight person. unlike a lot of people though, i choose to look at people for who they are and not judge them because of their sexual preferences. my gay friends are like family to me, and mean the world to me. stop the hating!

Dear Perez,
Homosexual men are effeminate, unmanly and unnatural. They should not be taken seriously … ever. Gay men such as yourself should not ever be recognized as "real men", but as extremely abnormal and uncredible … things.
Do I believe any of this? Absolutely not, but there are people out there who do. Namely, people who support absurd patriarchal ideology or gender norms believe this sort of garbage. Challenging gender norms is part of the struggle for the gay community, isn't it? Of course Samantha's a deviant woman, unfeminine, and everything a lady isn't supposed to be. She is challenging the status quo, which is exactly what the Gay Rights movement is all about. The roots of gender norms are those of patriarchal beliefs. And what is it that the patriarchy supports? Keeping the nuclear family alive, and hence keeping homosexual marriages illegal. Lesbians' integrity is being tarnished because people such as yourself stereotype these lesbians as being untrustworthy, uncredible, unreal and as downright bitches. I don't care if you're gay, and I don't care about whatever drama is happening between the two of you … you have no right to say such hogwash.
I think you're an incredible hypocrite, and are unintentionally supporting the movement you loath.
