Tom Cruise's career is on the decline and he doesn't seem to know it!
According to a new report, Tommy boy lost the lead role in Columbia's pix flick Edwin A. Salt.
What? Why would someone turn down Tom Cruise???
Well, producers didn't want to pay the fee Tom was demanding.
Looks like Hollywood doesn't think he's worth the $20 million per pic he used to get!
The studio is supposedly eyeing Tom's friend Will Smith as the man to take on the lead.

I think the attacks on Tom Cruise in the tabloids and even the main stream media are just really unfair. Of course all these years of negative publicity are going to effect your public image. It's not going to make people like you more that's for sure. It's as if the media in concerted effort is working really hard to try and destroy this man, his career and his family. What happened to decency and fairness in reporting? Leave the guy alone. What's your beef with him anyway?

When he started preaching to the world about how to live their lives and then topped it off with that wacked out Scientology video about how his religion is the only one that can save people and knows whats best for everyone, he was DONE. It doesn't matter if he's up for a role or not. Look at the posts. People are not going to hand over their movie going money to his tax free cult. Cruise lobbies politicians on Capital Hill in favor of this cult i.e., "freedom of religion." Texas is the first state to delist the cult of Scientology from being a tax exempt religion, as Germany has done. ALL other states need to follow suit.
So while I agree with most of what has been posted I have to say that many will be surprised…since most don't know he's even in it…that Tom's preformance in the upcoming 'Tropic Thunder' is being said to be hysterical and possibly career saving. You may not recognize him, but those that have previewed the movie…and mostly feel the same as many on this site…have admitted to loving his character / performance. You gotta see it to believe!! Save Suri!!!

i saw his performance in tropic thunder on thursday night at the grove and he was almost unrecognizable. but he was a hardass and he was hilarious! he's had a fat suit put on, and is balding, and he swears like no one else. he dances too! i think this performance shows a side of tom cruise that no one has ever seen before and it might change people's opinions of him.
hollywood and celebrities are all fuckin sick in the head. why does one person need 20 million dollars. fuck tom cruise. Problem is Will Smith is more expensive than $20 Million, he charges $28 Million and a cut of the box office.
Also, I hear Will doesn't star in anything his company doesn't produce.
Also, Charlize has to approve first.
Will Smith Hancock Box Office both USA and foreign $400million dollars, he is the biggest movie star in the world now.
The studios would do anything Will Smith wants even to hire Cruise, one Sony Studio executive said "it's good to be in the Will Smith business".
My only problem with tom and Will is, they are rich guys living in mansions and will never have to worry about my kind of problems, I will probably never see a million dollars in my life time. They live in a different world from the world I know.
