Perez Perez Perez…as much as I agree with you 99% of the time on your slaughter and praise of various celebs..I couldn't help but yell in rage in opposition to your review of The Dark Knight. Maybe it's because I am a die-hard movie goer and Batman fan, but really? My jaw was dropped for over half of the film and I had tears in my eyes because the intensity and emotions were so surreal. That was by far the best movie I have ever seen-with of course the exception of my love for the Pirates trilogy. I thought my lost love Heath Ledger showed the best acting I have ever seen. Throughout the movie me and my friends would try to "find his face" in the character and I simply couldn't see it. I even went home at 3am from the Thursday midnigt showing and watched 10 Things and still couldn't find it. I thought the movie was an A++++++++++++. Love ya Perez
You are always soooo negative—ever have a positive thought about anyone or anything????
Heath Ledger nailed his performance. There were times that I forgot it was just a character on that screen. He took the elements of different mad man tendencies and rolled them all into one to create his character. The film itself was too long without a lot of fanfare. The action scenes and death scenes could have been a bit more graphic, but whavever, it was well worth the money to see it on the big screen! Christian Bale brought the sexy and surprising enough Maggie Gyllenhal was actually impressive in her role. I would see it again…but for those that haven't don't walk in with the high expectations that the media has tried to give you.
Perez! You lost mad weight… i'm kind of a little Shocked! you look good homie! MUAH… oh by the way… Maggie is gross! For REALZZZZZZZZ so many actresses to pick from and they pick MAGGIE! whatever…
J
If you wanted glitzyfrivolous chick flick entertainment, maybe you should have gone to see Mamma Mia,
girlfriend……..
i felt the same as u Rezz i was tho smitten with heath in the nurses outfit lookin very kurt cobain HAWT
Hi Darling ( PEREZ )..!! This is the very first time I must disagree with you.!
The movie was excellent and you said "no action sequences"..? Were U on crack..? It was BRILLIANT, the script, cast and I completely disagree with Maggie G. as Rachel.! She was a vast improvement from K.Holmes on the prior one. And the "depth in character"..? They really when deeper this time with Batman's almost triplr personality, Joker's story as a child, etc…! You gotta go see it again when you have enough rest.! This is by far the BEST movie I have seen this year. Christian Bale is such a HOTTIE…..WOOOOOFFFFF….!!!

No, I am NOT looking for spoilers, you dunce. You and Jenny #56 must share one miniscule, stunted brain.
When discussing movies online, it is common knowledge that you do something like this:
*********SPOILER ALERT**********
if you're going to put one in your post.
People who DO post spoilers online are generally viewed with a kind of contempt usually reserved for gutter rats or pond scum…
Hi Perez!
This is Jason's mom. I didn't see "The Dark Knight." However, I definitely want to see it after listening to your critique! I read some of the comments regarding Heath L. I am going to watch Heath's performance to see if he lives up to the media hype. Incidently, I loved "The White Trash Brawl video.
Linda
Movie was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Heath was incredible.
SUCH. a. …. GEEK!
yeah, YOU, p-nasty. EFFEN GEEK!!
Quite possibly the absolute best movie I have ever seen in my 24 years. Incredible.
The film was by far the best superheroe movie I have seen in a long time.Heath Ledger's Joker was scary and funny at the same time. He deserves an oscar the rest of the cast was great also. I'm going to see it again in Imax and see it a couple more times.
Perez you look so flaco!!!!!
Heath was AMAZING, Bale was GRAY, and the movie…to looooooong!!!!!
It was a good movie, BUT NOT GREAT.
And Batman voice…..what was that?
Perez,
Nothing will ever be good enough for you. I feel like you hate everyone. You are such a hateful person. I don't want to continue coming to your blog anymore. The movie was fantastic - epic - wonderful - near perfect. For real.
I love it heath amazing
perez your comment sucks ass
It was amazing!
I disagree with everything you said in regards to it being bad!
I almost never want to come to your site again!
Re: alex –
I agree with you. George was just lame with the wobble head action and terrible acting. CB is by far the best batman to date.
And Heath should get a nomination for his insane portrayal of joker.
Re: Stan –
You are fucking retarded! how you can you say it wasn't good or only a C+. You are not worthy of seeing it then. Hancock was a TERRIBLE movie. The Dark Knight is the best movie that has EVER been made.
Wow, the absolutely only thing I can agree with your review was maggie sucking…GROSS!! She looked WAYYYYYYYY too old and wrinkley to play that part and just yuck! I didn't like Katie Holmes as Rachel but I liked her better than Maggie - I wanted to Puke everytime i saw her on screen - However, I absolutely loved the movie and I'm glad they killed her off!
I agree with much of your review, but I feel Heath's performance actually exceeded my expectations. He was extraordinary.
The film was very good, but not as "fun" as I had hoped. I actually preferred "Wanted", which is my favorite action film of the summer.
Pull the dick out of the way of ur vision cock smotherer. The movie was good and Ledger owned it, your opinion means jackballs Fatty Mcgee.
PS
Fuck your mom.
TOTALLY disagree with you. You see a HUGE development in Batman as well as Gordon and basically every character in this movie. I found the movie to be amazing. Sure it was "dark" but look at who the villian is in this movie…do you even know the story from the comic book?
You were expecting some little kid version of a comic book movie…and couldn't handle the depth of it because all you want is a bunch of explosions. Look a little deeper hun, and you'll see the movie for what it was meant to be.
I think your review shows that you don't really know much about "Batman" in general. Batman as a comic book was a darker comic book. There wasn't a lot of "fun", even though it was a superhero comic book. It was about city corruption, political corruption, corruption of the soul and one man trying to make a difference without being corrupted himself. If you want to look at Batman trying to be fun, look at Batman four and see how well that turned out. As for the Joker, I didn't want development. Sometimes, there are people so psychotic, so empty, they just are that. There is no reasoning or rhyme which makes it that much harder to deal with them. They are a complete reflection of the bad side of humanity that there is no changing and I enjoyed Heath's portrayal. Defiantly lived up to the hype.
Usually I agree with you on things, but you are totally off base here. I thought it was a wonderfully made movie! The characters had plenty of arch and development, all of them dealt with serious moral issues that tied in well together. It was incredibly suspenseful and probably the shortest 2 1/2 hrs of my life. Heath was brilliant, he really disappeared into that role, and Christian Bale and Aaron Eckhart were equally amazing. Nolan is a wonderful storyteller and really just pulls you into his worlds. The way he entrenched this comic book story in reality just magnified the overall effects, and I really enjoyed his take. I wasn't expecting a flashly, corny thing like Spiderman, I was expecting something gritty and honest.
THANK YOU Perez! You absolutely hit the nail on the head. Too much plot, NO character development, not enough action, you could tell they were really holding back for the PG-13 rating, What's-her-butt was horrible, Heath was good given the little he was given. I left the theater tired and with nothing to show for it. Sad.
PS- Keep up the hard work –you look smashing. Are you doing intervals on your runs? That's what really did it for me. xoxo
I thought the movie was amazing. I felt as though Christian Bale, Heath Ledger, and Aaron Eckhart were phenomenal. It was the shortest 2.5 hours of my life. But I will agree with you about Maggie's role. She could have done a better job. However, it was nice that they DIDN'T save her (which was pretty funny). I personally loved the movie!
Perez, You're just wrong.
I know I should back up my statement with some sort of evidence to prove my case, but I think the all the arguments have been made and speak for themselves repeatedly.
Really got a feeling you're in the vast minority here, man.
Perez, I think you need to realize that this is Batman. Not Spiderman. If you wanna see a cheesy "superhero movie" why don't you add Spidermn to your netflix list. Batman is supposed to be dark. You obviously haven't seen any of the other Batman flix or you would have known that by now. You would have also known that there is tons of backstory in the other ones, so it wasn't needed in this one. Furthermore, The joker doesn't NEED a backstory. He is a psychopath. If he were given a backstory, it would have made him less evil, and made the movie a little cheesey in my opinion. But I guess cheese is what you were looking for Perez (and all you others out there drinking hateorade). The joker has a mental disorder, he's not crazy because his daddy beat him.
Also, I'm suprised that the only thing you didn't bitch about Perez, was what sucked in the movie the most, and that's Christian Bale's Batman voice. I understand that he needs to keep his identity a secret, but that voice was just lame.
ok…u of all people, "miss queen of all media" shouild know by know that villians are at their greatest when they have no back story! Did u even see No Country for Old Men!!!? And did u even see Batman Begins? If u want character development maybe u should have watched the first movie! Of course u didnt know what was going on! sheesh!
I thought it was absolutely amazing and I love the Joker more than anything.
perez is a stupid dip shit the DARK NIGHT was to DARK and i didn't have enough fun i think i have lost brain cells just listening to this stupid dumb ass
you have dropped so much weight! definatly lookin' hot! any tips?
I think you are a complete retard for saying all that shit, like they are making the movie to please your dumba$$. i think it was bad a$$ and the joker was the shit.
i used to like this site—but perez—your video made you look pathetic. you ain't all that—-and especially not a movie critic.
Maggie sucked? OH PLEASE!
If she sucked.. then what did KATIE fucking HOLMES do in the last movie?
Maggie is a amazing Actress. Katie? NOT SO MUCH!
Thank god Katie didn't wanna do this movie, and Maggie did.
If Katie was in DARK KNIGHT, i would never have watched.
Maggie Gyllenhaal is fucking awesome.
I'm PISSED/LIVID they fucking killed her! Which is why, i'm not gonna watch the next movie..if there is one.
Acting good; plot weak in many places; needs an edit (too long!); great effects. worth seeing but not unmissable.
you look great and fit! keep up the good work!
i totally agree with what you're saying. The movie definetly needed a little more action and it could've been a lot better, plus that girl actress , that fucking chipmunk was fucking ugly as shit.
Re: r@()I – god bless you!
Did you watch the same movie as everyone else? This was an AMAZING movie! Heath Ledger dominated! The Joker's character is not supposed to develop…that's what is so scary about him, he just kills people for the pure joy of it! How can you honestly say that the characters of batman and Harvey Dent didn't develop through the story? You really are ignorant! How about from now on you just give us the news that we want, and leave the movie reviews to the people who actually know what they are talking about
stuff you say can be really funny even in a dark humor kind of way. but when it comes to reviewing music or movies, you don't know what the hell you are talking about…it's a free country to have your opinion…but you try to hard to sound relevant. no one will ever use a perez hilton review to decide whether they should see a movie or not…
The Dark Knight was one of the best movies of ALL-TIME! This movie kicked ass.
AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING! such a great movie, loved every second of it. have seen it 2 so far and im seeing it in imax next week. cant say it enough so good…
perez, i think you are way off. but it was aiming to be dark and scarier. also, heath's character did not have any growth in the film. and if you did see the first one right before you went to see the dark knight then i think you would have enjoyed it more and seen more growth and such. it was def the best comic movie out so far. most of them (excluding iron man) are just too funny and stupid, like spiderman 2 and 3. spiderman 3 was just AWFUL.
its just sad to me because you like all these things including artists and other movies and shows that i think are so awful and lack creativity and spunk. most of the music on your site i think is eh and can find another artist that they practically ripped off. but i think you like that whole "bubble gum Paris Hilton kinda of people who are fake." you like kind of fake things that in my opinion are just really stupid and meaningless. and if you saw the film really saw it i think you would have seen a film that reinvented itself and the genre it was in. but i dont think you like or appreciate really new and creative works. you just like the same ol same ol "Like, OMG" works that lack substance and flavor. the other films you saw this summer that you "loved" were okay, some very likable, but hardly any were like The Dark Knight and were truly new and original.
you are entitled to your opinion, but leave it to the critics perez. just leave it to the critics
Wow…do i disagree with this review THAT MOVIE WAS AMAZING it kept you on the edge of your seat HEATH was freaking AWESOME!! so was bale, eckhart, oldman, and maggie was all right…everyone i know who saw it thinks it was AMAZING stick to musicals you'll like them better =)
You have lost a ton of weight! What are you doing different?
HEATH LEDGER was brilliant , the best joker ever,
i loved this movie is was amzing and I JUST COMPLETELY LOVER IT
IT WAS BADDDDASSSS!
what the fuck perez? no character development? Not fun enough? I guess you just don't even understand the point of batman. its a dark f-ing comic. Tim Burton and the TV show were the ones who messed it up. nuff said. that movie had to be the best fucking superhero movie i have ever seen. period.
Who cares what you think fat ass. Yes, I know, you're losing the weight, but you will always be a fat ass to me. Losing the weight hasn't made you cuter. Too bad. Heath was BRILLIANT.
I really liked the movie. Heath Ledger was amazing– he completely disappeared into his character and was the Joker. I did think a large part of the movie was about Harvey Dent though and would have liked to see a little more of Batman/Bruce Wayne. Christian Bale just didn't have much to do. I also thought Maggie Gyllenhal was awful but I blame the character more than her. I thought it was Katie Holmes that was wrong with the first movie but I usually love MG and still hated the character in this movie…
I loved the movie. I agree with you about Jake's sister…not impressed. I love Christian Bale. He is always fantastic. I dug the Harvey Dent addition. I was not at all dissappointed. Not too long. Heath was the perfect Joker. There is no character to build. He is chaos…he explains that very well. His stories were never that same about how he became the Joker. That was perfection in writing. It doesn't matter. Chaos done well. Gary Oldman is spectacular too. I love his character. I give it a A-. The minus is for Jake's sister, Fugly. Love your nails Perez!
havent seen it yet but i cant wait to! and i love your hair like this
I honestly think that it was the greatest superhero movie EVER .
it definitley did not disappoint at all . Heath was spectacular .
I got chills every scene he was in .
I think he made the joker seem human but also insane , which was great .
they could have cast a better girlfriend, I agree with you on that .
it had a good balance of action and "talking" .
the message of the movie was also incredible .
but seriously perez , maybe you need to watch it again ?
I absolutely LOVED it . it was totally badass .
I love Heath Ledger
perez, i like you and all because you are honest… but seriously maggie G was not "like puss coming out of an asshole" in the movie.. thats a bit much
and i personally LOVED the movie ( there were tons of action scenes) , so i am not sure what movie you saw
Perez you look hot my sister and I are proud of you. The movie was beyond great. We keep seeing that Dr Rand Pink so we did what we do for dates that we meet at bars. we googled on advance search for "Dr Rand Pink" and he's a doctor, a comic, runs a charity and my uncle in LA said he just bought a home at Carbon Beach section of Malibu for 65 million and he's tearing it down. Perez are houses that expensive in LaLaLand we live in Daytona Beach. Everytime we read something so crazy we wait for Dr Pinks name and he delivered Angelina's baby. How come you let those gross avatar things on your site with naked vajayjays. Go Florida Gators Keep the weight off Perez
I would have never ever gone to this movie if it wasn't for Heath … I was not impressed with the plot overall and BATMANS voice drove me NUTS the whole movie. Heath did an outstanding job and his character is truly addictive.
With that being said …
im surprised u didnt like it.
that movie was amazing.
i didnt want it to be ove.
ii wanna see it again acually for how good it was and i didnt even see it on imax.
IT WAS AMAZING!!!!
END OF STORY
I miss heath so much. It's so sad that he couldn't enjoy the movie.
Hey Perez, love hearing your opinion, but I have to disagree! Batman is supposed to be a downer. He displays human vulnerability and uncertainty, no special powers, and I really liked how it showed his weakness and struggle, the other less than great side of being a super hero. The Joker is the joker BECAUSE he doesn't have any inner turmoil. I think it was more disturbing to see the kill scenes minus the graphics and blood. It left your mind just disturbed by the Joker's actions. Really just seeing his idiosyncrasies, it came across he was deranged enough, it was unnecessary to see his damage. True towards the end of the movie, the focus did switch to Harvey Dent, but I think that's only to continue the storyline if/when the next movie is made. It wasn't as action packed as other hero movies, but these characters interacted like a chess match. And I think it was just a really awesome film because of the chess style 'make your next move' suspenseful tension between characters.
Ug , he doesn't like it , I haven't seen it and probably will to decide for myself irrespective of someone else's opinion. if you disagree with perez just disagree without being abusive. sheesh.
..
p.s.
No one else sees the irony of the darknight flash ads on this site after this? lolz.
you probably havent seen batman begins to see this movie i havent even seen it and i know ur wrong just trying to get attention by not liking it
Ug , he doesn't like it , I haven't seen it and probably will to decide for myself irrespective of someone else's opinion. if you disagree with perez just disagree without being abusive. sheesh.
..
p.s.
No one else sees the irony of the dark knight flash ads on this site after this? lolz.
i could not agree less with your review. usually you're dead on, but not with this one. the movie was certifiably badass.
I had to turn you off after 30 seconds….you are so annoying Perez
I actually agree with what u said perez about the movie except the part of heath leadger…I thought that he was amazing as the jocker!
Whatever. You' re just trying to be different. Couldn't even listen to the whole thing.
Perez, you stupid FAT FUCK!!! You don't know shit about movies, you're telling me Bruce Wayne and Harvey Dent didn't have character development in the movie?!! What fucking movie were you watching?!!! No "wow factor"?!! Every scene with Heath Ledger had WOW FACTOR!!! You're a fucking idiot, I'm sure the Love Guru would suit you better, FATASS!!!
Honestly, Why do you assholes that don't like Perez even log on here.
Don't you have better things to do.
Hmph. I guess not.
As a film student at USC, you are completely wrong. You have no sense of film criticism and frankly, have no idea what you are talking about. You contradict yourself so much it is almost funny. For example, "the film is dark, but not TOO dark" and so on. You were not making very much sense, and your points are not very clear. I usually respect your opinion on the entertainment industry, but not anymore. Read the comments below… EVERYONE disagrees with you. …. Figure it out, Perez.
Wow, Perez. Did you see the same movie that I saw?
I was amazed by almost every second of the film. It was so incredibly nuanced and gritty and real. The acting was incredible, the direction was spectacular, and it wasn't just another "fun" action movie. That's what made TDK better and more transcendent than any other comic book film to date.
You just lost a lot of credibility, Perez. Good luck…
first of all, this is THE DARK KNIGHT. it's not supposed to be glossy, glittery, and hollywood spoon fed cake. i think the reason you didn't like it, is because you're not really into this type of movie.
The character of BATMAN was developed in "batman begins". That's why we didn't see as much development from Bruce Wayne because it focused on the joker and harvey dent.
I agree the movie was a little long, but I don't see where they could have edited anything out. Plus, the ending commentary was vital to the story and helped developed Batman's character in a short amount of time while letting the movie focus on the other characters.
I feel the joker's character WAS fascinating, because of his lunacy, and i think they left the rest of him up to interpretation for the viewer.
Maggie had to replay what Katie Holmes had already done. Women characters in superhero movies are very one dimensional. they always just play the woman symbol. The only way women who actually have character in these types of movies are if they are a hero or villan
oh and I can't fucking wait for WATCHMEN. hope they can pull it off
Perez, geez man - you could have summed that up in less words, with less of a long and extremely drawn out insult. I was still interested in seeing it after you said it was good but not "great" but after the rest of it, i seriously won't even go now - here's hoping your gay-man of a mother in law nagging review doesn't haunt the rest of America so deeply and destroy the ticket sale potential.
Suck or not, this was Heath Ledgers last film and I think many people planned to see it just to honor that. But jimeny-crap-christmas, a person would be lucky to approach the theater much less see it without hearing you in their ear hemming and hawing about how fucking awful it was the entire time. I'm already running, in a screaming fit, far far away from the theater and I haven't even left my house to go see it yet.
Bad Perez! Please don't start doing video movie reviews on a regular basis, this is SO not your forte. And if you decide to do so anyway, be a little more succinct and less like a bitter old shrew chewing the fat off a rotten, rancid bear carcass. That was just painful - probably more painful than the movie itself. Thanks for the warning but screw you for giving me a migraine and making me feel like i was trapped in my ex mother in laws basement for 5 minutes of living hell. Yack yack yack, blah blah blah, nag nag nag.
I totally disagree with you also! Also, Batman is NOT a superhero, that is what makes him so great!! Heath Ledger stole the movie, there wasn't supposed to be growth, he was just a maniac. I didn't think Aaron Eckhart did that great of a job acting wise and I was really suprised Maggie was not in it more. This movie was amazing, I loved it!
I like it you are on the money Perez. You are looking hot.
I have to admit that you look better and better day after day…you lost weight…you look so happy !!!….
congrats
go everyday here.lol
Francois S.
I'm actually not surprised by your interview, considering your idea of good entertainment is gossip girl and high school musical. You're way off, I thought the movie was teriffic and the acting by all including maggie and heath was amazing. I will say that if you liked the cheesy spiderman movies, this installment of batman is not for you, it is a more adult, and dark storyline. I hope to god you're not the up and coming "hollywood" mogul, you seem to think you are, especially, since I'm usually diametrically opposed you your opinion and take on things. You're still funny sometimes, sort of the same way Howard Stern if funny. I think you'd do well in that medium. Anyhow, buy a dictionary or read something else besides the gossip rags you write about, really it's embarrassing to hear such an inarticulate college graduate.
Perez-
I love you, but not this review. I was on the edge of my seat. I mean, come on— the pencil? the broken leg? those creepy black & white videos of his victims? This movie was TOO dark to be 'superhero cartoony' Not only was Heath Ledger great- but I thought Christian Bale was steamy as always. I saw it at the Uptown in Washington, DC and I have never been in a theater where the audience was so animated and engrossed in the story. There were OOOOOs and AHHHs– laughing, screams. IMO, the BEST Batman movie of the series. It's a shame that NO OTHER Batman movie will top this one.
(PS You're looking great! and your teeth look super white!)
You are officially the most annoying person on earth!
And who the fuck is "WE"?
You and the 200 pounds you lost in 1 week?
Your website is a hate-motivating-machine, and your voice amongst your fake enthusiasm, as if you were talking to a whole bunch of 2 year old, is sense violation. That's how rape must feel like.
NO ONE GIVES A FUCK ABOUT YOU FAT GAY DICK FUCKER!!! POST SOME NEW SHIT. NO ONE WANTS TO SEE YOUR FAT, SLOOPY ASSHOLE LAYING NAKED IN A BED. GO GET YOUR ASSHOLE SEWN UP SO YOUR SHIT CAN MAINTAIN ITSELF!!!!
to make it short and simple, the movie was awesome and Heath Ledger was phenominal..!
I thought it was actually good. Heath Ledgers acting was amazing! It definately wasn't like the older batman movies (you're right about the fun thing). And I HATED Batman's freaking voice. Overall it was still pretty good.
I saw the movie at an advanced screening. I was SO DISTRACTED by the "BATMAN VOICE". I couldn't figure out why it sounded silly…until a friend pointed it out. HE SOUNDS LIKE ZOOLANDER!! I'm serious! You can listen to audio clips of Batman and Ben Stiller's ZOOLANDER and hear for yourself. Hilarious!
i disagree. I think that the movie was amazing, and i'm not even a big action movie fan. Heath's performance was unforgettable, he did such a good job and i'm glad we went out with a bang. i do think maggie gyllenhal didnt do so well, but oh well. Overall i think the movie was amazing, it did live up to its expectations and i really want to see it again!
Commissioner, you are insane!! I loved, loved, loved this movie and I'm not even into the whole comic book movie genre. Not enough action sequences???? The opening sequence, the semi-truck somersault, the Hong Kong sequence and the Batpod's flip on the wall were just the tip of the iceberg. No "wow" factor??? I was concerened with all the pre-hype that Heath Ledger was getting but I think it was deserved because he was amazing and completely owned the joker. My eyes were stuck on him in every one of his scenes. And as for it not being fun, it wasn't supposed to be you jackass. It's fucking called The DARK Knight. However, I do agree with you about Maggie Gyllenhall, who is far too homely for us to believe that Aaron Eckhart 's & Christian Bale's characters would be sweating her nut sack! I would've preferred Katie Holmes & that's not saying much. This is a FUCKING AWESOME movie! Do not listen to Perez!
Re: leo – its his blog jackass, he can write about whatever he wants…who are you to tell him what its SUPPOSED to be!
loved the movie…it was a little long but i enjoyed it. i am going to miss heath so much…
i think perez really did have high expectations and he just wants to be a debbie downer…..if he in any way has made u want to change your mind about seeing this………dont!
bye perezcious you are lookin delicious
who does a movie review while lying in bed? oh right..
Saw it last night and loved it. Very dark, twisted, and all-around awesome. And much deeper than just car chases and buildings blowing up - it was kinda like a sociology experiment on the human psyche and how we are all capable of great good, and great evil (and different people will snap under different pressures). The Joker was fucking phenomenal - there hasn't been a better creepy psycho since Jack Torrance from the Shining and Hannibal Lecter from Silence of the Lambs. Every scene that the Joker wasn't in, I felt like I was waiting anxiously for his next appearance. I'm really sad Heath won't be able to crank out any more amazing roles like this
Anyways, my only complaint is that the theater was packed and I didn't get there early enough and had to sit in the second to front row and my neck with super stiff. Other than that - loved it.
perez i love you but your on crack this movie had many ohhhh and ahhh factors and it was a lot of fun. and heath was great
ur an idiot
It was AMAZING. Oscar worthy on every level. Heath Ledger's performance was spectacular, and I'm not saying that just because of his passing. This movie would have been just as epic even if he was still alive. It's going to be tough to beat this one.
Notice how all the gays and women are saying it didn't live up to its hype….go watch a romance comedy this was a fan-fucking-tastic movie
I seen it yesterday and agree with "good but not great". It's heaths swansong so for alot of people it's going to stir up a false positive and they're going to fell compelled to be overly defensive.
.
Good for you though for speaking your mind - especially considering Dark Knight ads are appearing on your site and you're essentially biting one of the hands thats bank rolling this blog.
Perez, stick with music reviews, you know what you're talking about there.
Batman is not your typical superhero, so it was best for it to not be a typical superhero movie - being a flashy, action-for-action's-sake movie would cheapen the effect that Nolan was going for - Batman is not a "fun" superhero, go to Spiderman for that sort of thing (Nothing against Spiderman). And of course the Joker isn't 3-dimensional - the whole point of his CHARACTER is that he's a mystery! I also thought they showed restraint by not "going there" with the grisly death scenes - they implied the horror and let the viewer fill in the blanks without being completely gratuitious and macabre… the individual could probably imagine something far more disturbing than what they could have shown, anyway.
I'm not saying it's the best movie ever, but it was definitely GREAT, not simply GOOD. Your review is inconsistent and ridiculous.
THE BEST MOVIE EVER!!! I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT : )
He's saying "we" because he's trying to include us in his video blog.
Dumbasses…
i love you perez!!!!
I agree that it was Aaron Eckhart's movie… he was awesome… and Maggie Gylenhaal was incredibly annoying.
I thought it went by quickly, and it was overall really good.
I don't think they died.
OMG loved it! awsome!
I Completely disagree with your review, YOU CANNOT BE MORE WRONG! i watched the movie twice already and its absolutely one of the most brilliant movies to come out in a long time! The Performances were Outstanding and Heath was TERRIFIC as the joker! The Plot wonderful and actually told a very good story! You obviously don't know anything about Batman and it shows by your review.
