When we first heard My Cowboy, we thought it was a new Christina Aguilera song. But it's not.
The tune is sung and co-written by this young gal named Jessie James, a promising young upstart from Georgia.
She's currently working on her debut album - with no release date set yet - but this song could already be a huge hit for you.
Think Xtina with some Carrie Underwood thrown in there.
It's pop with some country flair and a touch of grit!

THANKS PEREZ!!! You always give us the fresh stuff first! This girls voice is amazing! Sooo, needed in today's boring music of the "lick-lick-lick like a lollipop" I'm so tired of songs that make me feel dumb just by listening to them. Thanks to Jesse we can now listen to some good, old fashioned talent! I hope this girl win's best new female Grammy!

first of all…i am the one who contacted perez about jessica (jessie). we went to high school together (she is a few years younger than me)…i had heard her sing and knew that she would do extremely well. when i found her on myspace and heard some of her songs, i immediately emailed perez to "turn him on" to her and her music. like i told jessica in an email…i realize perez is a bit "controversial" but there are MILLIONS of people who look at this website daily and that could be great exposure.
secondly…while she may not have done good things in her past, none of us is perfect. and before you bash her music, talk to her about what she's been though and how hard she worked to make it to where she is. and also what kills me is there are RANDOM FUCKING PEOPLE calling her a slut or whore. YOU DO NOT KNOW HER PERSONALLY and until you do you have no basis to call her those things. Get the fuck off the computer and go to work and live your lives and do not bash someone who you've never even fucking met. Jealousy is not attractive. Some of you people are pathetic.

Sounds like a Big and Rich production. Reminds me a bit of "Save a Horse Ride a Cowboy." I think this will get major airplay because it's catchy and cute. She may just be the the new Gretchen Wilson…only much prettier and way more talented. Country music needs a new rebel chick to shake things up a bit…
Musically, her other songs are much better –but– this would be a great feel-good summer single… Good eye, Perez. Good luck, JJ!
This is NOT country music. Unfortunately, almost nobody makes country music anymore. Shitnia, Carrie, Rascal Flatts, Taylor Swift?! HORRIBLE. They should all be ashamed of themselves.

wow, i went to school with jessie at warner robins high school.. she graduated in 07 and was one of the most amazing girls ever. & to get on here and see all the hateful and mean things people are writing is disgusting. i dont care if you dont like her music, she is a respectable person.. a truly amazing girl. it's just sad that people are so degrading sometimes.. i cant stand it. i guess the whole 'if you dont have something good to say, keep your god damn mouth shut' doesnt mean shit anymore. or people are just taking that freedom of speech shit a little too far. this is just mean. you dont need to know someone, to have a little respect for them. get over it, you dont like her. just fuckin move onto something you do like.

Oh my god. She sings this entire song at the same completely unnecessary dynamic level (aka "loudness"). She has no understanding of the appropriate performance style, either. This girl sounds like she been a long-time fan of Christina Aguilera and LeAnn Rimes, and has tried desperately to combine their sounds into her own by singing really loud and adding brightness to her sound by coloring all syllables with a faint "err" sound that is achieved by "singing from the nose" instead of "singing from the diaphragm". She has nowhere near the inherent interpretive skills of Aguilera, and she, like Nicole Scherzinger, sounds like another failed attempt at even MATCHING Christina. By the way, the lyrics and the production of that song are inexplicably horrible. If people have been able to make Britney Spears' music sound tolerable, then tweaking this girl into the prepackaged smash hit she was supposed to be failed miserably.

I've actually met Jessie as I was helping to run a singing competition she was in a couple of years ago. She actually does look this pretty in real life, no computer needed (sooo jealous!). And she's majorly talented too… she won the competition even though her music went out mid-song, she kept going and kicked ass!

This girl is good! She really does sound like Xtina!! I found another "sound-alike" too! This girl Shontelle sounds just like Rhianna! and her song t-shirt is so good!
After reviewing her myspace music page where there's many more songs, I'm of the opinion that this is her best song. Her voice is gorgeous in this song, but throughout her others' it's not consistent. It sounds COMPLETELY different. We already have a Xtina. She'd fail miserably if she tried to market the 'stolen' voice and people bought her album to find out that was a one-hit wonder. Because honestly, there's nothing further than that.
However, I will say that her lyrics are beautiful. She should try writing songs for made singers rather than trying to push another artificial voice on the market. I think she'd be a much bigger success that way.

This young lady is a star in the making, no doubt. She can sing the hell out of any style of music. I have been watching her for several months and she has had several different songs posted. I love the "bad girl" image she portrays! She had a song "Hurry up Johnny" which was kick asssss!! Give all her stuff a listen before you judge her.

Funny thing about Jessie is that everything is genuine. Her lips are real, the mole is real, the body is real, the voice is real. The enthusiasm and passion are real. Jessica James is the name she was born with. The package come together and seems to perfect to be real or genuine. I would just call it fate and realize that she just may be the real deal and will go far.
She has a great family behind her and believe me her mother keeps her grounded! Have some fun Jessie, we are all behind you!
