Very disturbing report.
Beijing, the home of the 2008 Olympics, appears to be a racist place.
A report claims that bar owners in the 'party' section of Beijing were asked by the government to refuse service to black patrons.
Bar owners near the Workers' Stadium in central Beijing say they have been forced by Public Security Bureau officials to sign pledges agreeing not to let black people enter their premises.
"Uniformed Public Security Bureau officers came into the bar recently and told me not to serve black people or Mongolians," said the co-owner of a western-style bar, who asked not to be named.
WTF?
Does that mean black athletes can't celebrate at a bar with their team mates after years of training and working hard?!
Isn't it great to see that an event that's meant to to unify the world is happening in a place that subscribes to disturbing ideologies?

Come on! Use your brain, This is impossible! it's totally bullshit. The report is written based on nothing and the Beijing olympic organizer has clarified that this is untrue. But no media in western countries report this clarification. I understand why so many people here trust this report. Firstly, it's what you want to believe, secondly, your government and media always show the untrue or negative side of China in TV and newspaper. You never have the opportunities to get to know a normal China. Maybe our country has problems in many aspects, who doesn't, but at least I am sure that our media don't slander other countries like yours.

I don't think this is true. I mean all the people who is hating on China haven't even been to China. I'm chinese, and I always, ALWAYS see black people hanging around. They get good jobs and they have a great life there. One of my friends went to international school there in China and he's black! He's cool and he's happy. Trust me, there are a lot of places in this world that are far more racist than China.

Why is this shocking? The Chinese have always been somewhat racist against anyone not Chinese. In general, Asians do not like blacks. Not sure why, they just don't. My husband was in the military over in Japan and the Asian people, especially Koreans, detest African Americans. I'm not condoning what the restaurant did - that's messed up- I'm just stating that's how it is over there.
