All these girl "gamers" are taking this so seriously. I play MMOs (I am a girl) and I am not offended by this. I hardly see any females on games I play and if I do, they usually fail. The age thing seems incorrect though. I run into as many older people as I do young.

OMG yes yes yes! I'm totally not into video games even though my b/f has EVERY console out there (PSP, Wii, XBox, Game Boy, etc.). I try to play GTA 4, but frankly I don't get it. I would totally play one of these girly games!

I'm female and I play videogames, but I wouldn't waste time on those except to laugh at them. You know what they really need to do? Make a game with a really badass gay male protagonist. That's something that would catch my interest! Kicking some butt and at the same time enjoying a little boy on boy. It'd be a dream come true!

Perez, I love you to death and you are amazing, BUT quite wrong in this situation. Very wrong. These games will suck beyond anything. Truly. I am a big gamer myself and work at GameStop. And these games hardly get bought except by annoying little girls. The quality and gameplay is shoddy and cheap. Besides true (girl) gamers would not touch games of this nature with a three foot pole.

I don't know about this. I love the movie Clueless, but how would it work as a game? Unless it's "Sims" like, then I would kinda understand, with the fashion and changing people, but other than that, it seems dumb.

There are TONS of girls out there who play Halo, Gears of War, Call of Duty, GTA, etc. - these games are just an insult to all girl gamers.
Since you don't have a biz degree, I don't blame you for totally missing the point - but you should really be able to figure it out all the same. These games are being designed to attract the growing share of female gamers, who are growing up with more and more degrees of unisex hobbies than say, when you and I were kids. These games are built to take advantage of growth. Asking "Will you buy any of these games" after stating "Gamers are usually male and on the younger-skewing side" is redundant; they are not marketed at your readership demographic!

dear lord. as a female gamer, i find these "girl game" concepts to be totally ridiculous. apparently the software developers think that only guys are interested in saving the world from some unknown threat, while all girls care about is finding the best shoe sale and matching outfit.

Omg I totally used to have the clueless computer game on my windows 98. Old school right? you could do makeovers on the characters and pick out cher's outfits and it even had a dictionary of clueless words like "hes such a Baldwin" etc. I would love a video game!!
