We were giving him the benefit of the doubt, but things are not looking good for Christian Bale.
A new report has us reevaluating what we thought we knew of the Batman star.
The actor was on set last Friday shooting Terminator 4 at Kirtland Air Force Base in New Mexico when all of a sudden he exploded!
During one scene, the director of cinematography, messed up a shot - or so Bale thought.
Christian reportedly went ballistic, screaming "I will kick your ass", amongst other harsh things.
Several hundred people - cast, crew and extras - heard the outburst.
Not cool, Christian.
Not cool at all!

Batman star Christian Bale confronted his mother after she allegedly insulted his wife, MailOnline has learned.
Sources close to the actor said he 'flew off the handle' at London's Dorchester hotel after Jenny Bale said 'some outrageous things'.

comeeeee onnnn! cut the guy some slack! this incident was on FRIDAY. and its just coming out now? and even if it was on friday, think about it. the dark knight premiered on friday. of course he is going to be stressed. not to mention that he is putting a ton into reinventing the terminator franchise. he's working on the script, the direction, so of course when you're putting that much into the movie, you're going to want it to be perfect. try getting as much info as you can before you make your judgements.

Ok, let's think about this… they say this outburst was the fri. before the incident with his sister and mother…since he has been, for the most part, estranged from his mom, there must have been heated conversation leading up to their meeting in London… emotional tension poured over from his private to professional life and unfortunately he took it out on the "Terminators" cinematographer. I honestly feel so bad for this poor man. All he wants to do is act and spend time with his wife and child. The paparazzi usually never care about him because he is squeeky clean, and not an attention whore or club hopping drunk driver. The fact that he yelled at someone on a set once does not in any way, shape or form mean that he assaulted his family members. This is ridiculously stupid.

well, he is a method actor, he could be in "character". either way, i don't really care, i still love him. he could be in full on patrick bateman mode, and i'd be like, oh well, he was having a bad day. but really, if he was this awful guy, after all these years we would have heard something about this type of behavior. he probably is under a lot of pressure. he is very private, and with the dark knight doing what it is doing, it is probably bringing him a lot of unwanted attention. so, we should just leave him alone!
