GOLF CARTS DON'T HAVE SEATBELTS. DUH. I am all for protecting children but this is not newsworthy… no more so than him wiping his butt.
BIG MISTAKE, BRAD!!! A friend of mine had a daughter who was killed because she was riding on a golf cart and fell off. She was run over by it. Sadly, her brother was driving, which means FOREVER, he has to live with that! She was only 4. I never see a golf cart that I don't think of her. RIP Hanna!

I work at a luxury golf resort located on oceanside cliffs with hundreds of golf carts at my disposal -they don't come equiped with seat belts, no one needs a helmet, and kids *drive* them all the time. OK, maybe not two year olds, but seriously -what he did is a non-issue.

Again it is NOT a golf cart!!!! It is a Yamaha Rhino which id basically a 4 wheel quad with a roll cage. IT has seat belts and can go over 40 mph. Still don't think its that big of a deal since I doubt he was going that fast while holding his child, but if the media is going to plaster this all over the place, maybe they should figure out what they are reporting. BTW-a car seat does fit in the passenger seat, and some people do wear helmets when they are driving these, but only when they are jumping them over dunes out in Glamis;)

Who gives a rats as*? When I was a kid (a LOOOONG time ago), my father used to let us sit in the back of the station wagon so we could harass the people driving behind us. There were no seatbelts in the back of station wagons back in the "old days".
My father also let me shift gears while he drove and pressed in the clutch when I was about 10 years old. I drive stick to this day because he taught me at such a young age.
We had a quad when we were little and we used to be able to drive it around the neighborhood with no supervision and NO HELMETS!
