A British paper is claiming that Peaches Geldof's collapse / drug overdose on Sunday was caused by her inadvertently inhaling fumes from hair dye.
Apparently, she forgot to open a window while dyeing her hair.
Ha! How much hair dye did she sniff?!

Keep in mind that paramedics were called to the scene to revive Peaches after she lost consciousness AND she asked for the incident to be kept secret.

Everything else aside, is it even feasibly possible for-a single applicator bottles worth of hair dye fumes distributed throughout a moderately sized London pad to cause what she's claiming they caused?
Cosmetologists / colorists that work with dye on a daily basis reading this , care to shed some light on the likely hood?
With all of the money she has, why on earth is she coloring her own hair? that just doesn't make any sense whatsoever. I have a tiny fraction of her money and I have my hair colored professionally. it's such a hassle to do it yourself, plus it looks far better at a salon–which is why this excuse is all the more lame.

I'm not saying this really happened to her but it could. I once passed out while dying my hair when i was 15. If it wasn't for my mom pulling me out of there into fresh air I don't know what would have happened. P.S. I was on no other drugs, not even tylenol.

That's funny - my hairstylist girlfriend and her co-workers "inhale fumes from hair dye" all day, every day. I'm not aware of any of them being hospitalized. Maybe they're tougher than Peaches is.

that's bull shit. i have dyed my hair every 4-8 weeks since the 10th grade (i am now a rising sophomore in college) and i always lock myself in my (windowless) bathroom to dye my hair. hair dye fumes are NOT strong enough to do that.

OK I am a hairstylist and that is complete bullshit. There only slight fumes when mixing the color and that is it. Once you apply hair color it doesnt smell really at all. At the salon we have had 4 stylists at once applying color and there were no fumes!

First, I find it hard to believe someone of Peaches status dyes her own hair. Second, I dye my own hair in an enclosed bathroom on a regular basis and never once had an issue with fumes. I've bleached my hair and never had a problem. She is taking no personal responsibility. Daddy needs to cut off the purse strings and make her stand on her own two feet for once. Maybe then she will learn to be accountable for her actions.

Peaches is full of crap…..Ive been dyeing my hair since I was a kid, and have never once passed out, or even gotten light-headed from the fumes. In fact, currently, Ive spent the past 3 years dyeing my hair in a bathroom without a window or an exhaust fan, and have never had an episode like that.
Its time to pack it in, and get some help girl! One would hope that overdosing would make this girl acknowledge that she's got a problem, but I doubt it.
