New Love For Heath's Ex?

After the death of Heath Ledger, all eyes were on the well-being of his former fiance, Michelle Williams, and their daughter, Matilda.
Now, seven months after his death, it appears Williams has found a bit of happines, with a new guy.
Reports are that Williams is said to be dating film director Spike Jonze.
Jonze is the ex-husband of director Sofia Coppola.
Williams and the over a decade older Jonze have been spotted together several times near her New York apartment in the past few weeks.
One report is of Jonze kissing Williams outside his Lower East Side Manhattan apartment earlier this month.
One onlooker says, "Michelle kissed Spike with a closed mouth on the corner of his lips. There was definitely a bit of caressing going on. She was clutching his arm. The body language was very romantic."
The pair first met back in 2006 when Williams was auditioning for a part in the film Where The Wild Things Are, to which she was offered a part but later withdrew from the movie.
The two ended up working together and forming a friendship last summer while she filmed Synecdoche, New York.
It seems like even Ledger's friends are ok with the situation.
Trevor DiCarlo, a friend of Ledgers, has been helping Williams care for Matilda while in New York.
A source says, "I saw Trevor, Michelle and Matilda out for an afternoon in the neighborhood. They walked around chatting, went to a pizza joint for lunch and took the subway. Heath would be happy to know all his loved ones are doing so well."
Williams and Ledger had been separated for a while before his death.
So is she moving too fast, or is the timing ok?

However she needs to heal (in a healthy way) is a good thing.
I have always, and will continue to, wish her and her daughter nothing but the best.
I don't know them, but it breaks my heart to think about.
They did NOT break up "way" before he died, it was only 5 months. Heath is the father of her child, who looks like him. Does not really matter if she was "with" him at the time he died. The comment about her not having to wait "forever" before jumping into bed with someone else does not really apply, as 6 months does not equal forever. She was supposedly crushed at the news of his death, but maybe it was relief?
no heath rip and michele broke up in november although they still did say they were the love of each others lifes she had planned on getting back with him whne he was in a more stable condition because she knew the new batman movie had taken alot out of him it must be hard for her and matilda to see all the posters of heath matilda wont understand but im sure if heath were alive they would be back together but now he would want her to be happy i mean he did get wiwth mary kate but like i think thatt altough she lost her soulmate she needs to move on so she can start a new life efor herself and matilda instead of having to relive the past few months which must be horrible for her she is a single mum in show business who draws alot of media attention because of her ex which is unfortuante so she should be careful but move on all the same and help her and matilda have a happy future there both young and have there whole lives ahead of them

Wow, even though Heath Ledger and she seperated in September, I think this is moving a bit too fast. I mean, how could you get over the death of your ex-fiance in 7 months? That guy isn't even attractive, either! At least Heath Ledger was beautiful, sexy, and handsome. This guy…isn't.
I know exactly how Michelle feels. My highschool sweet heart died last summer but we had been broken up for almost a year. It's very hard to return to dating after loosing someone to death. You almost always put them on a pedestal and never let anyone get that high up. I just started dating again and if they say anything bad about my ex, then they're out. I hope she is able to find happiness because I know the pain she feels in her heart. In fact Heath died almost exactly 6 months after my guy, and my hearts always gone out to her.
She deserves happiness. She's been through a lot. Treat her like a lady, Spike!
hey keri i just wanted to say i completely understand how you feel i lost my old boyfriend exactly a month after heath ledger died and as im still having a hard time coping i just thought you should know your comment brought me comfort as ive been doing the same thing. i havent started dating again yet but its good to know its not abnormal to place him on a pedestal.. i definitely think michelle williams has the right to decide when the time is right for her theres no way for anyone else to understand when its time

I guess it's okay that she's dating again. I'm just biased towards Heath so the concept is depressing, but she deserves the right to move on.

they weren't together whenever he passed, and all though i would imagine that Heath would be a hard person to forget about, i don't see any problem in her seeing someone else…i'm sure that means that she hasn't forgotten about him

She left him before he died. Though he hasn't been gone a year, it is clear she isn't grieving. Needs another Sugardaddy for money. Sorry, she is still z-list. Her work stinks.
What Michelle has been through must be total hell. They may have broken up but they shared a daugher. They would have been in constant communication with each other. I believe that just because they "broke up" doesn't mean they didn't love each other and that they weren't hopful they would get back together one day. I believe they were still in love with each other when it happened. Unfortunately nobody can prepare you for death. Then all of a sudden it happens and all of the petty arguments you have are meaningless. No do overs. Nobody knows the pain she must feel or what her state of mind is. I think it would be awsome if she were dating again, but I don't believe all of the gossip. Heath would want her to laugh,smile and date again. In due time, let her heal at her own pace. I has to be tough going through the worst time of your life in the public eye. She didn't ask for this shit but it happened, it hurts. On a personal note if I were her I wouldn't want to watch "The Dark Knight" either. I would cry the entire time. Painful. Prayers to Michelle, Matilda, her family and the Ledger family. SG

She is young,pretty and alive. She has to move forward and live. Heath was not with her at his time of death.Imagine the pain she has gone through over him. Go for it Michelle you only live once!!!!!!!
Re: reply – It's a hard judgment to make to get back into dating. Obviously none of you have lost a significant other to death. Yes I lost the love of my life. But do you know how lonely and long the day seems without them? He would have not wanted me to mope around all day long. And I'm sure Heath would not want Michelle to do it either.
I'm glad that my comments comforted you. My ex will forever be etched in my heart and basically untouchable. We don't ever forget those that we love more than anyone else in this world that we have lost. But there does come a time when you must let go of them a little and move on with life and find happiness again.
Who are any of us to judge whether she;s moving too fast? I wish her & Matilda only the happiest.
Leave her and her kid alone! Michelle has done nothing but raise Matilda and keep to herself….. It makes me sad that you would present a platform that could judge otherwise

the "timing" ,dear Perez, is something you cannot influence, when it comes down to love. It just so happened that it has been a while, since Heath has died, otherwise the poor woman would have been slaughtered by you and other people, which I think is sad. Anyone should have the sense of understanding that love just hits someone and you cannot control it or stop it. God knows, she might have been together with him for a while and was too scared to come out with it. They where separated, so why shouldn´t she have another boyfriend? good for her daughter, as well, to see her mum happy and to have a man friend!

So sad, but good for her. Hopefully ppl will leave her alone over this. I'm sure this is a hard time for her seeing Heath everywhere with the Batman movie (which was AWESOME!). I just watched 10ThingsIHateAboutYou last night, and it was SO SAD! Was that Heath's first big film?
sorry, it's like people believe this story. if this is true,it's pretty strange that she move on so fast. she must always to talk about her dad to Matilda and dating someone else. do you think that spike would appreciate that.

Yes they did break up way before making it official and yes he had moved on with his life, and was happily dating Gemma Ward who he was said to be besotted with.
