I'm pretty sick and tired of this. Who cares if Castro says that? The truth is that he is the most advanced candidate. He understands what is important to the country rather than what is only important to him. How about discussing issues? I bet more people in the US know what leaders, celebrities and prominant figures support which candidate than what Obama and McCain even stand for. DISCUSS ISSUES AND STOP WITH THE SCARE TACTICS! This shows that the only thing bad Obama has going for him is that people support him whom many in the US don't really like. The only problem is that Castro may be a lot of things, but he certainly is not stupid. The States and Cuba might actually get somewhere in their relations if Obama is elected, is all this shows.
It's too bad McCain keeps changing campaign advisors and getting all variety of bad advice. I support Obama, but I've always kept an open mind for McCain. While I am very happy with Obama on all domestic issues, now that Obama is traveling to Iraq, some of his inexperience is indeed showing. Instead of pointing this out, and using it as an opportunity to highlight his own strengths, McCain is obfuscating his opponents one weakness with silly tactics.

I think that what this add really shows is that John McCain thinks Americans are ridiculously ignorant. Beyond seeing the ad as attempt to link Obama with Communism, there is a way of looking at it as an endorsement; anyone with half a brain (Errr, sorry John) knows Obama isn't a communist or a Marxist or what have you… in which case this ad depicts a (controversially) intelligent, committed international politican (who in no way shares the views and opinions of the candidate on main issues in international politics (economics, social welfare, etc.) saying Obama is an advanced thinker - he will lead to a better age, he is openminded to others, he is looking to constructively lead the country (something McCain, obviously from this ad, is not interested in). If Castro and Cuba weren't such a hot topic, I would recommend Obama use this exact ad with a positive spin - maybe to dull the controversy he can include other international politicians highlighting his leadership qualities.
