John Edwards is Eff'd: More Damning Evidence!

It's not getting any better for John Edwards!
As most y'all know, the former Democratic Presidential hopeful was caught by the National Enquirer this week leaving a Beverly Hills hotel where his alleged mistress and bastard baby were staying and Johnny boy tried his best to ditch the surprise attack by the rag's reporters.
We also mentioned Friday morning that the Enquirer filed a criminal complaint against guards at the Beverly Hills hotel for roughing up the reporters who were covering the Edwards sting.
Well, Fox News has revealed that they've tracked down one of the hotel security guards involved in the drama who authenticates the Enquirer's account of the Edwards confrontation.
The guard said he encountered a shaken and ashen-faced Edwards — whom he did not immediately recognize — in a hotel men's room early Tuesday morning in a tug-of-war with reporters on the other side of the door.
"What are they saying about me?" the guard said Edwards asked.
"His face just went totally white," the guard said, when Edwards was told the reporters were shouting out questions about Edwards and Rielle Hunter, a woman the National Enquirer says is the mother of his child.
The guard went on to say he escorted Edwards, who was not a registered guest at the hotel, out of the building after 2 a.m.
Edwards reportedly did not say anything while he was escorted out, said the guard, adding that at times the reporters on the scene were "rough on him," sticking a camera in his face and shouting questions.
The guard told Fox during the chase the reporters had dropped the notebook, which he picked up. "This book has everything in it on him," he said, referring to the ex-presidential candidate.
Fox also caught up with a former campaign staffer, speaking on condition of anonymity, who said he's "not surprised" to hear reports Edwards was visiting Hunter. "I'm definitely upset by it. I wish I was more surprised, though."
Thus far, John Edwards has refused to comment on this week's incident.
Hopefully that will change.

It looks like JE might not be as guilty as everyone thought. Apparently, Cindy McCain checked herself into the hotel under the name of the alleged "mistress". In the meantime, John McCain secretly waited in the hotel lobby and alerted the National Enquirer, using his cell phone, from the hotel. That's when Edwards was ambushed. It was all a set-up job from John & Cindy McCain - apparently, the idea did indeed come from Elizabeth Hasselback - she proposed the set-up to the McCain's when they were on "The View" weeks ago - it just took this long to get things set up properly - they wanted to do it at the same time Obama was on his European trip to throw Obama off the front pages.

1. Most importantly, Deny! Deny! Deny! (and keep denying!)
2. Don't worry about our friends at ABC, CBS, NBC, CNBC, MSNBC, CNN, The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, or The Washington Post. Rest assured, they'll cover your butt. Make sure you discredit FOX News and others right-ring zealots who are overly-concerned about sex and are out to get you and destroy the Democrat party.
3. Book an interview on CNN's "Larry King Live". You won't have much to prepare:
Larry: Senator, any truth to the story in The Enquirer"?
You: No, Larry, absolutely not!
Larry: Good to hear. Now, if Obama were to offer you the vice-presidency, would you accept?
You: Oh, I don't deal in hypotheticals, Larry.
Larry: Fair enough. Where were you on 9-11?
4. If she's well, enough, dress Elizabeth in a pretty pink pantsuit and haveher give an interview to ABC, CBS, NBC, and CNN. Make sure she stresses that there is no truth to the story and that this is one huge right-wing conspiracy against you.
5. No matter what you are asked, take your situation and spin it into something positive. For example, talk about the need for better daycares for single moms. Talk about the need for better pre-school programs and good public education, especially for illegitimate kids.

Papers like the L.A. Times have literally ORDERED their bloggers not to cover the story, since the only source is the National Enquirer.

Frankly, even though I believe the National Enquirer in this case, apparently many news outlets are playing it safe and will not allow their reporters to cover this story until a more reliable source surfaces.

The liberal media BETTER cover this story. Look into it, and determine if there is any basis behind it. The Enquirer didn't get pix for a good reason: Edwards locked himself in the bathroom and was escorted by security. A notebook that was dropped was picked up by the security guard and was chock full of damning evidence.
