Congratulations to Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O'Connell.
The couple, who got married last summer, are expecting their first child together.
Actually, they're expecting two!
The pair's rep confirmed Monday morning that they are going to be having twins.
The babies are due this winter.

On the invitro thing, I've done it and if you are under 35, it's customary to insert 2 embryos. The reason is because it's a very long process and the chances are better of getting pregnant with two. if you are over 35, they usually insert 3 or more! So…hope that answers the question on why all these starts are having twins with invitro! I'm guessing just like me they were hoping to get pregnant on the first try and twins is just a double blessing!! : )
Twins are the new Uggs! Everyone in hollywood is sporting them.
With such gorgeous parents, those twins will surely be lookers. They seem like they'll be great parents together - lots of fun and energy. Judging by those pampered pooches of theirs, they are going to have some jealousy issues to contend with when the new human babies arrive!

In vitro? He had said they were trying- and veeryone is running off to the docs to get pregnant- twins is usually a sign of in vitro these days.
I am trying to get pregnant myself but no docs for me.

those are gonna be some BEAUTIFUL kids, with her supermodel looks and his all around hotness, those twins might give Knox and Vivienne a good run for their money on the gorgeous scale, but i guess we'll have to wait and see for ourselves

they dont WANT twins it is a side effect of the oral meds they take to have a baby…in vitro is the last resort. I think she just took the oral pills. They increase your chance to have twins from 1% to 25%.
People like Katie holmes, Britney, Christina..they are fertile and didn't take those meds hence 1 child.
They dont want to pop out two at once…it's just the side effect so ….

This is actually a very respectful profession. Women who can't have children because of age or worse they just weren't born with proper anatomy. It's a miracle. Lots of people use it who can afford it.

Jacki, first of all you dont know like anything about me so dont go calling me a bitch and second of all im sorry about starting it but those were like my personal views and beliefs. I do believe in my religion and its not fake. All the statements i made are my beliefs and i didnt mean for it this to like blow out of proportion.

Damn! They didn't even let a single rumor get out! No one had even speculated as she was photographed with a lose top or with a little bloat in her stomach. They should have at least waited until the first person speculated on her possible pregnancy! It seems to me that they wouldn't mind a little more press and maybe have the paparazzi go after them. I used to like Rebecca but her choice for a new boyfriend sucks! Major downgrade!

Both her and her younger sister were conceived through IVF , have no medical issues and both of them had their own babies recently, and without fertility treatments! So Jerry is the lab father (IVF) to these babies? Big deal. With an ugly mug like his what are the hopes for these babies not much! I week ago he says how him and Rebecca are trying so hard to have kids and hopes it does happen and now this week they are saying that they are now having twins sounds like they both really do not have a clue what they are doing let alone becoming parents. I do not think John has anything to worry about. Once Rebecca has her ugly babies she will regret ever thinking about getting pregnant, honestly have you you seen her goofball hubby, most of the time he acts like a child himself that really has not grown up yet. Now this fool is going to be a father that is downright scary!
It is definately IVF how else do you explain how Rebecca even got pregnant. I bet the idea of having to have sex with her hubby all the time must just repulse her. I just find that this pregnancy announcement came rather sudden and the fact that nobody even noticed that she may or could have been pregnant. I wonder how many of these celeb couples truly need to be using IVF anyway? How frustrating it must be for couples out there that are struggling to save money to have a child along with natural conception obstacles; whereas it appears half of these Hollywood mommies just want a baby now…why not have two at once; then they just check themselves in for a elective caesar/tummy tuck in a few weeks before their actual due-date.
