Did You Feel That???
OMG!
An earthquake just hit us in Los Angeles before noon Pacific time!
Thankfully, it doesn't seem like it was HUGE, but it was pretty damn big.
That was our first earthquake we've experienced in California.
And it was scary!
Update: It was a 5.8. The epicenter was in Chino.
That's big!

Technically, it's classified as "moderate." But it's still scary! I hope everyone is okay!
It was a pretty good sized shock and seemed to build a little. It lasted a long time which was a bit disconcerting. I spent the 20 seconds trying to stop my bookcases from falling on my head. It doesn't look like anyone was hurt, which is a very good thing.

I'm in North San Diego county and I didn't feel a thing. But I'm from San Bernadino county (where Chino Hills is) and used to feel much bigger ones so maybe I'm just used to it.

AT&T SUCKS!!!! ONE LITTLE 5. SOMETHING EARTHQUAKE AND THE SHIT IS DOWN. YOU WOULD THINK THIS DAY & AGE AND BY WHAT THEY CHARGE THEY WOULD UPDATE SOME SHIT.

It was in Chino Hills..not Chino.
And that is not in Los Angeles County ,it is in San Bernardino County.
Why do people in LA think they are the only county? arrgghhhhhh.
Re: Jen –
LOL i was scared it was "The Big One" too…
Chino Hills..
"Preliminary information from the U.S. Geological Survey estimated the quake at magnitude 5.8, centered 29 miles east-southeast of downtown Los Angeles near Chino Hills."
Wow…just another reason why the U.S sucks! LOL.
Earthquakes, hurricanes, tornadoes, flash floods, avalanches…….
What a desirable place!!!! AHAHAHAHHAA.
Move to Canada, you idiots. What do we have? Rain?? OOOOH!!!!
The odd snow storm, in the WINTER….when it snows everywhere else in N.A except for Mexico and a few odd Southern states? Big effing deal. Suck it up…it only lasts a few months of the year, and it's not even as bad as the snow and cold you get there!
that's not big.
