It's Brett, Bitch

brett__opt1.jpg

He wants to give you NFL fans more, more, more!

League bosses have confirmed that Brett Favre has sent his reinstatement paperwork to the NFL and is awaiting approval from commissioner Roger Goodell.

According to reports, once Favre is granted reinstatement the, Packers would have 24 hours to release the quarterback or return him to their active roster.

If Goodell reinstates Favre today, Wednesday, his return to the practice field for the Cheeseheads would most likely come Friday.

Green Bay coach Mike McCarthy said on Tuesday, "It's obviously the first step in Brett coming back, but we'll deal with that when Brett is reinstated and have a plan for that when he comes back."

The source goes on to report that the team has no plans to grant Favre the release he has requested, suspecting that he would immediately sign with division rival Minnesota. The Packers own Favre's rights until his contract expires after the 2010 season, making a trade the most likely outcome acceptable to both Favre and the Packers.

Sign with a rival?

Scandalous!

What say you Cheeseheads?

Maybe Brett's just doing this for the money?????

His peak playing days are definitely behind him!

The headline should read, "I'm a crybaby with no decision making skills!" If this jerk wants to play football why did he have that meltdown retirement press release? Especially when he stated he was so grateful to the Packers for their support and he hopes he was worth their every penny. Now continuing to stay with the Pack isn't an option because he won't be the starter?! Brett, you are a traitor in my book and it doesn't matter how many years you continue to think you still "got it" you'll never win a superbowl. BTW, I still get off thinking about your loss to my Broncos in the best Superbowl game ever played!!!

What does Perez know about football? Brett finished 2nd in MVP voting last season. He's hardly done. Packers GM is retarded for not welcoming him back. All-time Great vs. probable bust - Arron Rodgers? come on.

    Brett Favre

The indian word Brett is "BIG"

The indian word for Favre is "ASSHOLE"

Re: LeeLee – HE IS THE WI JESUS! My parents live in Green Bay and have told me that fans have been tail-gating non-stop to bring Brett back. Uh Perez, his peak playing days are still ahead I am sure — as he practically broke every QB record in the NFL last year. Like you said, "I'm Brett Bitch!" I think if you publicly announce your retirement, you should keep retired. Even if you are the WI Jesus. GB wants to sign him on as the 2nd QB, but Brett isn't having those apples.

    110

shut the fuck up perez! you don't know shit about sports! Just like Micheal Jordan, Bett loves the game and that's a hard thing to give up when you love it like they do. They are born competitors and live for game. don't talk about sports because you know nothing about them! The packers' would be dumb not to start him next year!

  11. Erin says – reply to this

    111

Packers need to trade him! I'm from Wisconsin and not even a day goes by that you don't hear something new about Brett. It's annoying and alot of people from around here want nothing to do with him after all the things he pulled. And not only did he retire and the packers got a new quarterback. brett wanted to be starting quarterback. sounds like a bit of an ass to me!

  12. G Bay says – reply to this

    112

Another example of Perez not knowing what he's talking about. Last year Favre was one of the best QB's in the NFL and had one of his best year's ever. Best years behind him? Hardly. Stick to your nasty drawing on photos. You obviously know nothing about sports.

I can't stand the thought of BF playing for another team and am almost looking forward to Aaron Rodgers falling flat on his ass - only then will TT realize what a mess he's created in GB.

Just let the two QB's duke it out for starting position!!

I hope he sucks and eats away at his legacy.

  16. Keli says – reply to this

    116

I wish he'd make up his mind, already! I am a Minnesotan (and a Vikings fan) and personally, I think he is one of the best QBs of all time. It would be pretty fun to see him play for us (the rivalry), BUT I am worried about a) how it will affect the current Vikings QBs and b) Favre's legacy. Does he really want to be known as the player who had a long and phenomenal career with the Packers and in the last few years, he goes to the rival team!? I know it has been done by other players, but I dunno…

  17. Rache says – reply to this

    117

I think he just ruined his legacy. Next time he fauxRetires, NO ONE IS GOING TO CARE!!!

If Farve becomes a viking, I'm officially going to be a packer fan - go Aaron Rogers! He should have retired the last 3 times he said he was going to!

  18. Miche says – reply to this

It's disgraceful. He's our hometown hero and here he wants to go play for somone else. He should have thought more about his decision to retire before he did if he thought he might be back. I am a pretty low key packer fan, and I think it's wrong. The hardcore fans just about had a memorial service for #4 and ARE NOT happy that Favre is playing all this shit out.

Perez, honey, why all the sudden the interest in a sports star that is not A) dating a supermodel, B) fathering an illegitimate child with an actress, or C) a smokin' hot european soccer star? I am beginning to think you have a crush.

AS for Mr. Favre, I wish him luck wherever he plays. Does anyone remember that Micheal Jordan called it quits 3 times before it stuck?

  28. babbl says – reply to this

    128

I'm a cheesehead in Wisconsin and I am SICK of Brett. His playing has stunk for the most part over the last 4 years. Everyone gets so involved in his "good" records they forget about the BAD RECORDS like most interceptions for example. He made the decision to retire and should stay that way. Why all the dramz? When you're dead, lay down. The Pack should put him on the active roster as 3rd string QB if he thinks he "has" to play.

  29. kk says – reply to this

    129

Hey Perez, maybe an update saying that you were wrong about him being over the hill would be good form? You were wrong, and a quick ammendment would stop all the people who are ripping on you. Just a thought!
Personally, I grew up in GB, and I'm dissapointed in him, but I understand it. He simply should have reversed his retirement back in April when the Packers asked him. Doing it this late in the pre-season is hurting the team. But I still love him. He goes to my family church during the season, and I went to grade school with his daughter. He's a good guy, but not always the samrtest. Even his agent (a family friend) says that 'the kid' doesn't always think before acting.
Oh, and Deanna probably wants his ass out of the house!

  30. 130

LOVE BRETT! I don't care who he plays for, just as long as his hot ass is playing! He may be old, but he took his team to the playoffs just last season…The mans still got it :)

Perez, I love you to pieces but your knowledge of sports is a little weak. Brett Favre isn't coming back for the money, he loves the game. It's his blood sweat and tears…to say he is going back just for the paycheck is just rude.

There's a bunch of trouble in Wisconsin because the Packers are positive that they are going to keep Aaron Rodgers on as the QB and Brett is pissed that he's not going to be the starter.
Seriously, in Wisconsin, it's IMPOSSIBLE to listen to the radio and not hear some crap about him.

  44. James says – reply to this

    144

Seriously, stick to topics you know about like socialites that have done nothing to earn their success who get arrested and never have to serve time. you know NOTHING about Brett Favre. He is neither about the money or fame and had one of the best years of his carreer last year.

ALSO… you're a jerk. I complemented you in person on your weight loss and you were so stuck up. That's not cool.

brett favre cannot come here to minnesota even if he wants to.

he would be booed off the field. minnesotans have no respect for the packers, and we obviously don't want their old, recycled quarterback.

the coaches won't bring him here unless they want no ticket sales and no support.

  47. Ange says – reply to this

    147

It's not about the money for him. Packers are certainly making a huge mistake - if they trade him I hope Brett absolutely smokes the packers and the whole league…and I'm even driving 12 hours to go see the packers this season

  48. Barry says – reply to this

    148

Brett Favre is not that great of a football player? 17 years with the Green Bay Packers and all he has is one Super Bowl ring? Come on, even Peyton and Eli Manning have one ring…and John Elway has two rings. Brett is nothing more than a hetersexual media whore and a diva. It's all about him and not about the team. You should be asking if his teammates want him back. That might open his eyes to reality. Go home and stay there Brett! Leave the rest of us NFL fans alone. And yes, you'll still receive a Christmas card from John Madden. No need to have that man-crush end because you're not in the spotlight any more.

Blog about flowers, celebrities, or your puppy if you like but stay away from sports.

His peak days are not obviously behind him. Last year he was voted MVP of the Packers and his team made it to the playoffs with a real shot at the SuperBowl championship.

As the biggest cheesehead in the world - I am appalled at the thought of Favre going to Minnesota!!! That is just bull shit!!! He has a legacy as a Packer and should go out on top - representing the franchise that made him what he is today!!! I don't really understand what he is thinking coming back? But to go play for the Vikings?? He has the most loyal fans in Lambeau - he would be an idiot to turn his back on us. But if he did - he's got it coming bitch.

What drives me insane is not the constant question of whether or not he is coming back to the pack (I am from WI), it is all of the people who suddenly think they are experts on the subject. You cannot walk two feet without coming into a conversation about Brett and all the drama this is causing. I think the Packers have made it clear that they have moved on with Aaron Rogers and I think that is a respectable decision. Brett made his bed and he should have stayed lying in it.

BWAHAHAHAHA……one of Bret's best years last year??? Maybe it's time to let it go when your 'best year' concludes with you throwing a pick in the NFC championship game, eliminating you from the Super Bowl. All you Wisconsinites are delusional. Yes, he was the man for several years, but my god, let it go! Time to move on……live in the NOW! I honestly do not understand why you are all still connected at the dick to a man who pulls this retire/not retire bullshit every year. Maybe if the Packers had actually done something in the postseason the past 5 years or so, but you haven't! Bret hasn't done anything for you guys for a long ass time. Who cares about your regular season record when you're watching the big game from the couch, because your "Star Can-Do-No-Wrong QB" can no longer pull off the big upset when it counts, and refuses to let the team move on.

  72. 172

He should have thought about this before he sobbed like a bitch on TV about how he has nothing left to give the NFL. What has changed in a few months? Oh his want for more money. Instead of waiting until camp started to make his decision on whether to retire he has wasted the time and energy of the player that shoudl be replacing him. Nice Brett real nice!

  77. chees says – reply to this

    177

Perez, he just had one of his best statistical seasons to date…so peak playing days behind him? maybe not. With that said, I don't think it's about the money. He just wants to play again probably because–like so many athletes–football is his life and he can't move past that. He retired too early, but it's not the Packers faults he did that. Then they were going to help him come back a couple of weeks later. At some point, they had to move on and so did he.

Oh, and unless they release him, they won't trade him to a rival team. Please, Perez, you are embarassing yourself. Stick to what you know.

  78. wisco says – reply to this

    178

he has really pissed off people in wisconsin who, until his interview with van sustern, were DIE HARD fans. When he continued, for the 60 -120 minute (?) interview to repeatedly say "I did this" and "I did that" and "me" not US as a TEAM - even people who think he is closer than Oprah to God think he is now a douchebag. I know someone who DROVE from Wisconsin to Kiln, Mississippi just to take a picture in front of the town sign that says "HOME OF BRETT FAV-RAE".

    dude - he blew it

he was going to be a Lombardi, Lambeau, Holmgren level hero - now he's just a southern Jackass who plays with himself.

Brett Favre used to be a GOD in Wisconsin- even if he had turned out to be a serial killer he probably still would have been idolized, but to throw a whiny fit and then entertain the idea of playing for the VIKINGS!!? That's just unforgivable.

even if he goes back to greenbay he wont be a starter they already have a starter rogers, who will not play second fiddle to favre, and i highly doubt greenbay would release him because he would probably go to mn because they have a nice lineup for this season alot of good talent and they have a chance of doing very well the only place they lack is the qb spot so hes kind of a shoe in however, i'm not too sure mn would react well to having favre in purple and gold, i'm a huge mn fan and to be quite honest i think i would have a little less respect for the viks for they took him. but to lets be honets kids none of us know whats really going on behind the closed doors to the nfl so we all just have to sit and wait to see what happens

    Re: Chees

Chees' comments are dead on. The biggest lie in the sports world today is that Brett Favre is a great/humble/every day Joe type of guy. He is not. I live in GB and although I don't know him personally, I've heard enough about him to know these things:
    1) He likes drama - every year he does this "should I retire or not" bullshit
    2) He has a huge ego
    3) He just might be in it for the money. Christ, he has about 10 different companies he does commercials for. Car dealerships, Menards, anyone who will pay him.
    4) He is most certainly not an "everyday Joe" type of guy. This dick doesn't even TALK to his receivers. There was an interview last year and one of the receivers said that the communication with Favre was a little better last year, because he would occasionally talk to them. Prior to that, he would "relay" messages to them thru his QB coach. He's too good to even talk to his fellow teammates.
    5) He is very human. He battled an addiction to painkillers and alcohol. While I give him credit for that, he was also known as a womanizer about town who cheated on his wife whenever he could. Not cool.

The man is not a god. I'm not saying he's not an "ok" guy, but he's not someone to be worshipped either.

Thank God he'll be someone else's problem this year, ’cause most GB people are T-I-R-E-D of him!

Idk if someone has said this but to correct you, his best days are not behind him persay. Last year was statistically one of his best years in the league. As for the idea that he is doing it for the money, that doesn't make sense because he would be getting paid the same amount of money to stay retired that he would if he goes back to the packers…. if he were to get more money it would be the result of the packers trading him (something he isnt exactly looking for)

First of all…………….. PEREZ u are a moron who probably doesn't even watch Football. Who says "his peak days of playing are definitly behind him" ???

Umm OKKKKK. He led The Packers to the Conference Championship Game last season, the man started every single game for 16 seasons in his professional career, he surpassed Dan Marino (who btw is one of the greatest who ever played the game and never won a Superbowl)….not saying he shouldn't have stayed retired but give the MAN the RESPECT he has earned!

and PS do us all a Fav(re)or DONT COVER SPORTS WHEN U HAVE NO FUCKING CLUE WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT.

Re: UKer – Just about $5billion dollars a year in betting shows how many people care…man r u dumb. I highly doubt rugby is in that league. The NFL is so competitive, it chews players up and spits them out. Have two bad games…then u r out on ur a*s. The talent pool is so deep u can be replaced instantly.

Rugby…get a drunken bum from any alley and put a polo on him and some cleats, that is about the extent of complexity and talent in that game.

FAVRE is a football GOD and more importantly…a very decent person. GIVE HIM WHAT HE WANTS. Lord knows he's earned the right to say 'when'!

perez, you obvioulsy don't know much about sports. farve had one of his best seasons last year and will probably continue that UPWARD trend should he play again. if you stopped staring at the guys asses long enough to pay attention to the sport you'd be better equipped to handle this kind of news.

This is a joke, you have half of WI wanting him back, the other 1/2 think his time is over. I'm with the 1/2 that thinks this jerkoff, needs to stay retired. He in on our news everyday and I'm sick of seeing him and hearing him whine. He has made so many accusations against the Packers, why would they want him. But since there is not a choice anymore, keep him for back up, not a starter.
    By the Way………….GO BEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Perez, don't report on things you know NOTHING about!

You claim that his best playing days are behind him??? Brett Favre had one of thr BEST QB seasons in the NFL this past year, nearly leading his team to the Super Bowl!

Brett is one of the few players in it for the love of the game. He's got more talent in a soiled jockstrap than half the rookies out there can dream to have.
