He wants to give you NFL fans more, more, more!
League bosses have confirmed that Brett Favre has sent his reinstatement paperwork to the NFL and is awaiting approval from commissioner Roger Goodell.
According to reports, once Favre is granted reinstatement the, Packers would have 24 hours to release the quarterback or return him to their active roster.
If Goodell reinstates Favre today, Wednesday, his return to the practice field for the Cheeseheads would most likely come Friday.
Green Bay coach Mike McCarthy said on Tuesday, "It's obviously the first step in Brett coming back, but we'll deal with that when Brett is reinstated and have a plan for that when he comes back."
The source goes on to report that the team has no plans to grant Favre the release he has requested, suspecting that he would immediately sign with division rival Minnesota. The Packers own Favre's rights until his contract expires after the 2010 season, making a trade the most likely outcome acceptable to both Favre and the Packers.

I'm going to still have to support Brett no matter what.
But it was pretty stupid to retire, and then months later want to come and play, especially when the Packers drafted 2 new, young quarterbacks.

I don't know, if he doesn't come back to the Packers, and goes off to some other team, I won't call him a traitor, I just think that would make for an interesting NFL season!

But I also want to see how the Packers will fare with a new quarterback, whether that be Aaron Rogers, or one of the other two new QBs.

And like some of you are saying he's doing this for money - you couldn't be anymore stupid! The Packer owners are offering millions to stay in retirement, but he doesn't want to take it, because he wants to genuinely play football, just like he always has! So screw off.

Re: nativ – I agree completely and totally. He really is tarnishing the saint-like legacy he would've left behind. Now it's just all mucked up with this "i wanna come back" crap. He'll realize that no other fans are like Packer fans..it's not Bret that creates the firece the loyalty..it's the team itself.

Within days of retiring him and his assflap wife Deanna remove themselves from all the charities they are involved with in GB. One would think if he is truly retiring, what else do the rednecks have to do?
