Vanessa Hudgens has been chosen as the cover girl for the all-important September issue of Teen Vogue.

no effing wayyyyyyy. i'm a teenvogue devotee, but her on the cover really turns me off. and yeah, btw i dont think anna wintour has anything to do with this. sigh, i think i'm still gonna buy it though…. oh, i actually like the dress!!

If that wasn't bad enough… LOOK WHAT SHE'S WEARING! I hope Anna Wintour didn't personally pick out that top. It is ridiculously horrible and it does not cater to the "teen" crowd the title of the mag suggests. The pose is wrong, the clothes are wrong, the hair is wrong. I mean, I'm no fashionista but I could have put together a better cover — even using Vanessa Hudgens. I can see why Vogue's numbers are down…
It's pretty simple really:
1) High School Musical 3 is coming out very soon so this is probably the press campaign in action
2) She is exactly like the people that this magazine targets- ie young, gorgeous teenage girls
3) She is adorable.
I have to say, I think that cover looks fantastic. She looks really fresh and pretty and I think what she is wearing is age appropriate and fabulous.

My daughter and I love her! It was a great move to put her on- although her outfit is terrible! She is such a beautiful and cute woman- get off her case jsut becasue she covers her face from photographers. Just as you claim they have the right to take them, she has the right to refuse. Get a grip!

Isn't HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 3 coming out in September? Or early October? That's why she's on the covers of the Sept/Oct issues of magazines. It's the bug movie event of those months so naturally the magazines will play it and the cast up.
IMO — Face it; she shot herself in the foot and derailed her fame train. Lesson to (very) young teenagers: Don't take nude photos of yourself and give them out. People don't take you seriously after that. They just don't.
