I like how the article says that it is "unknown" if the reason for the murder was bc of the person being transgender, same thing they said in the articles about my brothers murder, when its pretty apparent that is the reason why. Hooking up with someone without being honest about who (or what) you are can easily lead to dangerous situations. Here in Nebraska we saw a similar case with a transgendered person who called herself Teena Brandon (made famous by the movie “Boys Don’t Cry”).

I think most people are tolerant of others. People have to use caution when meeting new people. I put my guard down and let someone into my life that I didn't know well and was victimized. I am extremely grateful that I wasn't murdered. Looking back at it, I so could have been. I've read articles about people that were in my position that were murdered. No matter who you are one should use extreme caution when meeting new people. I still think people are good in general; it usually just takes one person to ruin it for everyone. And it takes one person to do good to another who passes that on to an another and so on.

I live in Greeley and I was so sad when I first read about this in the tribune, I don't see why some people have such a problem letting others just be themselves. A very good friend of mine took her life because her mother could not stand that fact that she had given birth to a son but had raised a daughter instead. This is a very tragic and unfortunate. But people need to use common sense when going into situations like this. Hooking up with someone without being honest about who (or what) you are can easily lead to dangerous situations. Here in Nebraska we saw a similar case with a transgendered person who called herself Teena Brandon (made famous by the movie “Boys Don’t Cry”).
