The Disney star covered Breakout, a song Perry recorded years ago, for her new album, and Miley even chose that as the title of her record.

I think miley's is better. She wrote the song, and despite Katy singing it first, the song fits much better with Miley. I know that she isnt really in public school or anything but she is going through high school which is what the song is about.

they both SUCK ASSSSS!!!!!! This is a filler "song." It has no reason for existing other than to take up album space. Since the songs sound the same, Miley's is worse inthat she wanted to do an identical version of an already BORING song, but blame also goes to Katy, from whom I would have expected better.
Katy's is better as it doesn't sound like the vocals are over produced. Infact, in Miley's version it sounds like they just used the vocals from Katy's as the backup. It also would be nice if Miley could sing that on key in real life; any singing she does live she is SO FLAT it's painful to listen to. There is a reason why Miley's records are so over produced…her singing is sub par.

I think that both of the versions of the song are good. Even though it is the same song, they both bring a different style of voice to the table. I did a little experiment where I played both versions at the same time and I came to the conclusion that the disney princess and the girl kisser should do a duet together!
**Perez** FYI something you might want to check out. The song "These Four Walls" on Miley's new CD was originally sang by Cheyenne Kimball on her debut album "The Day Has Come" which was released in 2006.
