I'm a canadian and I'd just like to mention that this is definitely one of a kind, nothing like this ever happens here, in any part of the country. I can't believe how awful it is, I don't even know how to process it. thoughts and prayers with the victims family as well as the witnesses.
Re: WeLL – First let me say that I am an American, so I am not biased against Canadians.

Now, if you think that people would get more involved just because they're American then you're delusional. when you see something traumatic like this happen, many people just go into shock. its normal. not to mention, people are scared to act these days because of legal ramifications.
.
a man can come into your house, rob you blind, kill your dog, kick the cat, and set your house on fire and if you shoot him in the back? you go to jail, because at that point he is fleeing, and you are NOT justified in harming him. How's that for justice?
.
.
lastly, locks only keep an honest man out. if someone decides to break in, they will do it regardless of whether or not your door is locked. And regardless of your country of origin.
this is y canada needs to instate the death sentence and a very fucking violent one at that
this man is obviously sub human and should be dealt with as such
Crime stat's are 50% higher in Canada than the USA. A quick Google search can confirm that. That's what happens when liberal Twinkies and leftist morons take over a country. Just look at how quick the liberal morons are trying to cover up and justify this degenerate murder! Canadians are too busy being politically correct and waiting countless days in doctor's offices to worry about anything or real substance. Why are so many Canadians coming across the border for our BETTER health care??????????????????????????
I feel so sorry for the victim and their family, no one I mean NO ONE deserves this fatal ending. It almost seems like straight from a horror movie Im sure the man has a serious mental illness, which often goes undetected and this is the result so sad.
You people are stupid. Despite how horrible this attack was, the likelihood of it ever occuring again is absolutely miniscule. I dont see any validity in vowing to never take the Greyhound ever again/stating that Canada is the worst country ever. Youre all fools, but then again what can you expect from a bunch of whitetrash 13 year olds…
Wow, I can't even imagine how scary that is. And I mean, how can you let a parent know that their child died in such a gruesome way like that? That's just horrible
How TERRIBLE!! The kid was only 19 years old! The killer was obviously a very demented individual. The world is getting uglier and uglier everyday it seems.
Also, this could have happened anywhere in the world. Insulting an entire country based on one crime is ridiculous. I'm American and think the "USA" poster needs electro-shock therapy. Disregard this troll's comments. Replying to their stupid banter only entertains them.
And just for the record, not all US southerners are hillbilly, white-trash or some other lame, overused stereotype. As an intelligent Floridian, this makes my blood boil.
Thank God for the passengers quick moves and getting this nut job barricaded in the bus until the police arrived. My heart goes out to the passengers. They are going to need therapy for this for years.
unfortunately it does sound like a horror movie which makes me think that we should really be very careful what we desensitize ourselves to. This man was obviously very unwell, who knows what could have happened to him at one point in his life. condolences to the victims family and anyone who witnessed the crime.
They are saying the psychopath was an Asian (I'm Asian so I'm not saying this in a prejudice way) bald, probably had combat training and cannibalistic. So sick!
Re: Cdngi – I certainly pity you and think you're one messed up mentally unstable individual. It's because of what happened to your brother. Your father shouldn't have molested you when you were younger and you shouldn't have had to endure an abortion. It's your genes dear. They are truly fucked up. Like you barrenless one.
What baffles me is the fact that Greyhound claimed afterwards that they teach their employees how to detect passengers who look "suspicious". I was like wtf, do you people not do security searches first? I am really angry that they haven't implemented that sort of thing for bus transportation like they have security on c-trains where I live. Believe me there are a lot more sickos out there now then there have been in the past! you never know what will happen next!. Its frightening!
I send my sympathies to the passenger who died, and I hope that sicko gets what he deserves! a nice seat in hell!
oh and really, if one more american disses my country! go watch a documentary, try sicko, try zeit geist, thats how wonderful YOUR country is. how extremely retarded do u have to be to base an entire country on the actions of one psychopath
Re: John –
yeah he's probably mentally ill, but he may not have been committed befor this. there's a chance no one close to him knew just how ill he was. don't blame the health care system entirely, there are other factors that could have contributed to this.
i am from the USA, im 17 and i think your comments about canadians are rude and ignorant. i live in buffalo, ny, and canadians are constantly coming to buffalo in great quantities, and many of them come to shop in the mall i work in, so i deal with them on a daily basis, and honestly as a whole i think they are a very nice group of people, much like americans. you cannot generalize a whole country on stereotypes. so what if they say "ahey" or like different music, or sports? They are their own country, have their own ways. Stop critizing them, before you consider your own countries state. now i love america, how ever, we do have our fair share of problems, as well as any other country has theirs. HOWEVER, many people are responding to this USA post with hateful thoughts towards america, in that case, you are simply being completely hypocritical, you are just replying to stereotypes with stereotypes, instead of defending your country and considering and addressing the positives or negatives of both. but lets not play up each others downsides here, trying to have some immature argument on which countries better. we are all human.
as far as this incident, my heart, thoughts, and prayers go out to the victim, and the witnesses on the bus. i am shocked. things like this make me honestly wonder what the fuck is wrong with the world nowadays.
Honest to God it scared the hell out of me. i have never heard of something so disturbing in all my life. I travel on greyhound buses all the time, and the back seat is my fave place to seat, I think i'll be going on the plane when i go home for christmas, i ain't ever going on a bus ever again.
Poor delusional Shaun the left wing pc correct twinkie. If Canadians base their knowledge of the USA upon the moronic films of Michael Moore you show just how incredibly STUPID and uneducated you really are! No one with any intelligence gives Michael Moore any credibility. His mockumentaries have been disproved and ripped apart as soon as they were finished. He blatantly lies and twists half truths into bigger lies. Moore the Bore is a fat idiot! Just like Gore the Environmental Bore!
Anyone who is trained to revive or rescue someone knows that you need to make sure the area is safe to do so. Man with a knife violently attacking and killing someone is not a area that is safe. It sounds like the passengers and driver on the bus prevented more deaths from happening and should be commended not criticized for their actions. My thoughts and prayers are with the victim's family, the passengers and bus driver..
I actually drove past the bus today, they still have it on the highway while they do all the CSI style stuff. I can't believe that something like that happened…only 1 hour from where I live!! The killer got on the bus a matter of blocks from my apt.
This is the first thing I heard when i woke up this morning, I thought it was a bad dream lingering. My heart goes out to the family and to the passengers. I'm so terrified, I just took a Greyhound last week. Now it feels like there's nowhere safe.
This is horrible!such a tragedy. This guy is SICK and TWISTED, I hope they lock him up for life somewheres he's a psychopath. The whole story feels like a horror story I can't believe taht something like that would happen within Saskatchewan and Manitoba. I always thought that riding the Greyhound was so safe, but now I don't think I'm ever going to be able to ride that thing alone again especially at night that's terrifying. I feel so sorry for everyone who had to witness that horrific event but I'm happy they all acted bravely and got off safely. And kudos to the bus driver. My condolences go to the family of the victim, it's not fair that their family member was killed when he did no wrong to the other man and was just peacefully sleeping. gosh.
I really don't understand why the man that was sitting in front of the murder, along with the other passengers, got off the bus first before trying to stop the killer from stabbing the poor young boy. They all just walked off WHILE he was being killed? The article says they then got BACK ON the bus to try to stop it. WTF! Obviously, he wouldn't be alive by then. Imagine if you were in a public place and someone was trying to kill you and the people surrounding you knew it was happening but they left! Why is nobody saying anything about this? What if it could have been prevented? This whole thing makes me sick.
We have a lower population because generally we don't let every sick fuck into our country like the americans… before you say anything i am american
This is by far the worst murder of its kind in Canada and i bet you a million bucks some where down the line he is american!! Maybe you should spend MORE TIME studying out country and less time watching beer commercials!!
If you believe canada is what you see on the TV then i guess there really is a Kokanee Ranger too huh???
What ignorance??? 20 million Mexicans??? they do the work your lazy ass is too good for the work your country was founded on… God there even building the wall to keep them out thats how dedicated the american people are!!
P.S if Hockey is the lowest rated atheletics why do we have 6 channels dedicated SOLELY to the sport NATION WIDE??? why is it our hockey players and other athletes make national headlines WITHOUT biting peoples ears off… Could it be because the USA is more primative then we are??
75 % of our population are immigrants or children of immigrants… everyone loves canada UNTIL something like this happens and then were a backwards primitive redneck BEER drinking Society!!!
Lets face it were not half as dependant on beer as the USA as here in canada we don't dictate DRY COUNTIES to slow down on alcohol comsumption here we are able to control ourselves.
p.s Hows that brilliant President of yours doing?? Can he read yet???
Re: ! – I highly doubt it could have been prevented, unless the driver felt the passenger looked delusional. It was stated he was in a catatonic state and it's absolutely conclusive he was psychotic. He stabbed the victim in the jugular first. He died instantly and was plummeted with repeated stabs after others had saved their lives by fleeing. Anyone who proceeds to display a murdered victims decapitated head and act like it's just "another day at the beach" to quote the other passengers, is beyond mentally ill. The entire saga is heart wrenching. I would have stormed off that bus faster than a speeding bullet. Thank goodness they trapped him inside.
Would you all stop responding to USA like he represents America? Not all Americans are stupid like that. Please, give a little credit. It sucks to have a few stupid people say something and make the rest of the world hate us because of it.
I'm sorry this happend. What a tragedy. I hope the family can find peace some way, some how.
This is so freaking disgusting. It gave me the chills dude. What is this world coming to….but umm…on a lighter note…the courageous guy that tried to help….he's pretty cute…is that inappropriate to say in this situation?
Re: fairytalesofyesterday – I was thinking the same thing! He was cute. His name is Garnet Caton. Can you imagine having a lunatic like that directly behind you? He will tell the story on many a talk show in the future, no doubt.
Nobody has mentioned this but it's very plausable. I think this man could have been demonically possessed. Obviously, you have to believe in such things but I feel they exist. Especially after this tragedy.
Re: USA –
Well, I love the stereotype, Not all of us canadians are like that and leave it to someone as lame ass as you to say something like that, Theres a reason why americans have a such a bad wrap around the world, and i'm not saying that about every single one, My whole family is from the states…but there's some like you, that have to ruin it for others.
The last time I checked most of canada didnt go out of their way to bash americans on their violence all countries have it, something tragic has happened and all you do is whine about how much you dont like canadians, and use stupid remarks such as
"why would anyone wanna live there?..What a wasteland"
shut up.
&
get a life.
EH!
Re: jace – Hey Jace…sad soul….if you could read…you would've read that he got on an HOUR before he targeted poor Tim McLean (this is the victim's name.) And, in the process you could perhaps think of the victim's family and the fact that there is a possibility that they may come across this site. Perhaps everyone on this page debating on whether the US is better than Canada and vice versa would actually take a MOMENT to stop and realize that a human being was murdered senselessly. We are all the same, aren't we? Retarded, political, nonsensical people! HE HAS A NAME. AND A FAMILY. GET OVER YOURSELVES AND YOUR OWN STUPID AGENDAS.
It's cases like this that make me think Canada should rethink the death penalty. Unbelievable. Knowing our legal system- he'll probably get "Life" in prison w/ parole in 10 years.
No one is trying to cover this up. The only people covering things up are the US gov't…and they have been for years. Nobody on here has once said that Canada is a perfect country. Get over yourself for ONCE!
This poor kid was innocent. The FREAK who did this to him is NOT. It could happen ANYWHERE. It's a SAD STORY. The guy deserves to rot in jail or have it happen to him, 1000 fold, from the feet up. The guy is in custody. THANK GOD. The people involved DID WHAT THEY COULD. To Most of us, they are HEROES. THANK YOU!!! NOW….we wait, we cross our fingers that justice will be served and that this never happens again.
DO WE ALL GET THE POINT??? A HUMAN LIFE WAS LOST. SENSELESSLY.
Re: USA – PS asshole… because we get paid more, I guess…I don't know a single person here who crosses the border to get health care there…are you kidding me??? How drunk and high and STOOOPID are you right now?!
Re: ! –
Probably because there were more than 30 other people on the bus, some of them being children, and most were sleeping! He had to wake people up and get them off! Seriously, people, this is getting ridiculous…does no person have any empathy???
Re: USA – Re: USA – Are you fucking retarded??? Canada is bigger than USA. Go back to shcool you dumb american shit. Plus, I wouldn't brag about being in your country, look at who you all voted to run it.
This is bullshit! This poor son-of-a-bitch is being stabbed to death and no one does ANYTHING!! One witness turns around and sees a sleeping passenger being attacked and he screams for everyone to get off the bus?? Everyone is alerted that someone's life is being taken away and they all "calmly" exit the bus "preventing anyone else from being harmed". Yes, if you unspin that it sound a lot like everyone decided in a split second to save their own completely self-concerned asses. They could've at least attempted to save this KID (he was just a kid, not yet 21) but yet they decided for him and his parents that his time was up, that he wasn't worth saving. I do wonder how they will sleep with that. And for the person or persons who decided to make it seem like the passengers did the noble, heroic, correct, cool-headed thing in this situation, whoever spun this to make it sound like the proper actions were taken, I hope he, she or they never find themselves helpless with their life completely dependent on the actions of others.
Re: emmmm – Your an idiot, doesn't matter where you live it can happen anywhere. Can be sitting at a bus stop, you don't know what the person next to you is thinking or going to do? What does living in ontario have to do with anything
This is shocking and digusting! A few points: (1) I don't normally believe in capital punishment, but this person is an animal that needs to be put down…this guy can not possibly be fixed! (2) As for security..it's a hard thing b/c many bus stops are in rural places (we have a bus stop at the local convenience store)…and those who need to take the bus likely don't have the $$ to commute to larger depots where security would be easier to manage - city buses/subways would have the same problem. (3) Before someone calls someone a coward for running, think internally first…I would have done the same thing….saying "someone" should have stepped in isn't good enough unless you mean that YOU would have done it!
On any given day, compare the news on the CBC with CNN…I rest my case, the States is far more violent. Regardless my thoughts are with Tim McLeans family at this time. This could have happened anywhere.
So….has everyone stopped spouting their biased, uninformed rhetoric about Canada and the US?
It's so unfortunate that ONE ignorant uneducated American (USA) could cause such disparity between the citizens of two countries that for the most part cohabitate very well.
Hopefully Obama will divert a little more money into the education system so idiots like USA don't have the ignorance needed to represent their country as a whole in such an unflattering way.
Re: disg – seriously would u go after a guy with aknife probably bigger than somthing out of a rambo movie.. obviously this guy didnt use a steak knife to BEHEAD someone .. Good that all those other people got out safely to and didnt get harmed in any way ..
Seriously, out of a horror movie. I can't believe this shit is happening right here in Canada, doesn't matter if we're in Ontario or Manitoba, it's in Canada, holy fuck! Capital Punishment sounds like a good option here!
So ,this kinda stuff happens everywhere. Not long after 911 in Tennessee a man slit the throat of the bus driver and the bus went off the road and killed 6 people…. what does it matter what country it happened in? What does it matter the race? Who cares about stats!
Re: USA – Crime is 50% higher in canada then the united states, that's the funniest shit I've ever heard. When Canadians come over to the states for health care because of long waits our health care pays for it idiot, it doesn't cost us a penny. We are to busy enjoying our life to worry about you stupid yanks ( not all of you) maybe if you had a slight bit of education you would'nt have to look up your facts on google. The reason that this is getting such big headlines is it almost never happens here. I will agree with comments about more funding for mentally ill people, but guess what buddy given what has happened I am sure that our goverment will be looking into it. Unlike your goverment who is like a trillion dollars in debt because of a war that they have no buisness in!
after hearing this story it made me want to throw up who does crap like that? i feel so sorry for the victims family and friends!
i hope the guy gets sentecned to death even if hes a physco
I haven't read the story because it sounds beyond the pale revolting. What I will say is - what can be expected in a country where cannabis is so widely available and smoked? Did you know even though Holland has amongst the most liberal marijuana laws in the world , VERY FEW dutch people ACTUALLY SMOKE IT BECAUSE THEY KNOW HOW DAMAGEING THE DRUG POTENTIALLY IS?
.
Just some food for thought , given that Canada's mental health system is apparently so poor, why would people endanger their sanity INTENTIONALLY by smoking a noxious psychoactive drug that has been conclusively linked as a factor in bringing about the onset of mental illness?
.
In Europe the various liberal governments there have back tracked on down grading the drug in light of recent terrible things that have been linked to the usage of it.
.
Anyway. Justice for that poor soul and reverence for that person who stood up and tried to do something in the face of a monstrously terrible situation. So sad.
Re: USA – Fat? umm we're not the ones with an obesity epidemic as our number one health concern… mullets are making a comeback, along with flannel and I don't know anyone that has no teeth, nor listens to rush… so I don't know where in Canada you hang out… and at least I can spell Molson and I have better things to do like play hockey rather than sit on my ass making comments about how much I hate other countries… Anyways, the point being that this happened to a completely innocent person, in an isolated case… My heart goes out to the family and friends of the victim and I hope that the man that did this gets what he deserves… Have a nice day too, eh!
Bet when they examine this situation they'll find out the perpetrator smoked blow and listened to death metal all day or something.
.
Awful. More lives probably destroyed by marijuana use.
Re: USA –
your healthcare isnt better buddy. just more expensive. youre the reason why most of the world hates americans, you give them all a bad name..this story had nothing to do with canadians vs. americans and look what you've turned it into
and do terrorists really flock here? you guys have got to be kidding me..we don't seem to have any problems…no one attacks us, countries like us, our people aren't fat and dying all the time because the government covers our healthcare, we're smarter because we have curriculum expectations so we don't have to pay 30, 000 a year to go to highschool. so shut the f*ck up unless you actually know what you're talking about.
This really, really disturbed me when I heard about it =\ like others have said - happens in a horror movie, not in real life… that's horrible… not only obviously for the victim and his loved ones but also for the people riding the bus. Can you imagine how traumatized they must be??? I'm traumatized just reading about it =\ yikes…
And by the way, my province has had ONE serial killer that I've ever heard of, and less than 10 murders that I know of. And no, I've never gotten mugged or raped O_o, but that is something that could happen anywhere, YES, even in Canada.
Canada is a wonderful country to live in, you clearly have no idea what you're talking about. Have you ever even been? And FYI, we don't wait countless days in waiting rooms, I've never waited more than half an hour to see a doctor. I love the fact that I can walk into a hospital and be treated for absolutely free and not have to worry about paying my medical bills when I leave…cause there aren't any!! I'd rather wait an extra 20 minutes for top of the line health care than get in immediately but end up going fucking bankrupt trying to pay for it. Fucking idiot.
as disturbing of a story this this is, i don't really see the point in using this incident to color a whole country based on one sick individual's actions.
we've finally accepted a unity between eachother through skin colour- our next mission is to abolish the separation of nations. we're all on the same team here people!!
this man is not just a canadian- he is our brother no matter what country he happened to be born in- a really sick one at that.
Canada isn't much better than the states in some regards. It just so happens to be situated next to one of the most high profile war mongering and generally hated countries in the world.. i mean… if you stood Stalin and Winnie Madella next to each other.. Winnie would look like a saint in comparison obviously and this isn't to say she is! She would just come off as one given who she's standing next to. Canada isn't even close to perfect in lots of areas (and this goes relatively internationally unchronicled in news media because it isn't under the amount of scrutiny the u.s.a. Is ) but it is much more people orientated unlike the states which is the only thing it has going for it but by no means perfect and people who imply such things are seriously deluded.
so unbelievably gruesome.. scary.. sad. My heart goes out to the family of Tim Maclean, who didn't find out from the RCMP, but rather from the media. Sad.
Re: USA – This comment just shows how ignorant and simple minded you are. This is why our world is so fucked up. Keep living in your own little bubble Mr. USA.
Re: USA – Um, its unfortunate that you make a bad name for other Americans by awful comments like that. This is a horrible tragedy, no matter what part of the world it took place in. Open your mind a bit and look past your red white a blue. This is not about country. This is about human beings.
I am sure this kid would still be alive if someone on that bus did something! This is giving Canadians a bad name. Wusses. 37 people against one man with a knife. Was there nothing to throw on the man to distract him from doing what he was doing? Throw a can of coke at him. Was there no one there to kick him sqaure in the nuts? And the media is calling people on the bus HEROS. Give me a damn break! Someone could of done something, but that is society for you.
not taking the bus won't change anything….this was a horrible act done by a horrible person…it could have been done on the street anywhere in Canada or anywhere in the world (does that mean you will never leave the house?) being from Winnipeg I can't stand when people talk about it being so dangerous because its not. I have been all across the country more than several times and have been in many more cities that i feel more unsafe than winnipeg or edmonton. I think the reason why everyone is talking about it and it has hit a nerve is because almost every single person I know has taken the bus at one point in their lives. The thing that needs to change about the bus is that its needs to be like an airport with strict security…if it is imparative that you bring a gun or knife on your trip then it goes into your checked bag and you don't see it until you arrive at your destination.
Re: Star – i live right by edmonton, and just like every city we have crime.
hearing of this though is so unusually morbid, i don't even know where to begin.
it is easy to make judgements, but i hope you don't get the wrong idea about our country, its people, and our government.
and my thoughts go out to the victim, family, and witnesses.
Re: USA (406) – It's not that your health care is better..
you guys can't afford to use it,
and we're covered,
SHORTER WAITING LINES.
OH, BY THE WAY,
do another quick google search and look up what party is running our country.
Haha, I can see your education systems are failing..
You got that 'fact' from an opinion based website. it was based on a news article. not ACTUAL facts. you googled it then went through and picked some random website that had what you were looking for.. to 'back up' your biased thoughts. Canada does not have 50% more crime than the USA… the USA has a MUCH higher rate of violent crimes, while Canada has a higher rate of property crimes. go to any government website and be INFORMED before you spew nonsense.
Re: USA – First of all, your insults are awful. Let's come up with something a little more offensive and original, eh? Second, we don't claim not to have violence. Sure, the US has a lot more people which certainly accounts for the higher rates of violence. But there's a reason we can travel with our flag on all our shit and you can't. I understand you're uneducated, as your social studies classes growing up never taught you about any countries other than your own, which explains your ignorant comments that I'm sure several of your friends would agree with. But, step outside your bubble and look at the way the rest of the world sees you. You should commend Canada for sticking by such a self-righteous, destructive country such your own.
People are really shaken up by this tragedy, and for you to use it as an opportunity to preach hate and ignorance only shows that it's people like you who paint a bad image of your country to the rest of the world. You should be absolutely disgusted with yourself.
This is one of the most horrible things I've ever heard. I had trouble falling asleep last night because the image just kept popping into my head. I'm from Edmonton and this is way too close to home. Just a comment for those who think that others should have jumped in sooner to help save the victim: Although I agree that there's a chance the victim could have been saved, there's also a chance that many more could have died. If someone comes into a room with a gun and a few people jump him, he may get 1-2 shots off but in the process, everyone else can scatter, run for cover, leave the room. On a bus, if a few people jumped the guy, he likely would have started fighting back and swinging that knife at anything that moved. That means blocking the aisle so that anyone behind him couldn't get out, including children. Many people could have been stabbed in the process and although I don't have statistics, I think knife wounds are actually more deadly that gun injuries. Although I am so sad for this victim and my heart goes out to his friends and family, I think the passengers did the best they could in the situation and it was actually best to evacuate and then go back to offer help with weapons of their own. I think this stopped a lot of other people from suffering the same fate.
This is shit that never happens in Canada…..what the hell. I live in Ontario, Canada and evreyone is extremely shocked to hear this. It was so disturbing reading about it in the Toronto Sun. I thank God everyday for living in this great country and to hear that this kind of shit is going down in my country devistates me and I'm sure millions of Canadians are thinking the same thing.
imagine what this kid's family has to go thru!!
my heart goes out to them
THIS IS SO FUCKING TERRIBLE!
that son of a bitch should be beheaded so he can feel all that pain
You have got to be kidding me!!!! Crime Stats in Canada are no where even close to the USA. If you get your information from google you are WRONG. How can our crime stats be higher with a tiny percentage of the population and our gun control. If you knew anything about Canada, you would know that the party in control and our Prime Minister is Conservative…. that's not very Liberal!!!!
I have never met a Canadian who was willing to go to the States for any kind of medical Treatment, in fact most people who travel to the states and get sick will drive or fly home to recieve treatment even if they have out of country insurance. You are ignorant USA. It's funny that you are willing to bite the hand that literally feeds you. One switch and most of the power in the Upper States would be cut off. You know why the Canadians don't have a big Military? First of all no one wants to fight us and after WW2 Canadians had the largest Navy in the world with the best Equipment. The US conviced us to
share our equipment information in exchange for future protection. We have the worlds largest Water Supply, Oil Supply (surprise!! Most Americans don't know that!) and Largest Sustainable food source. You obviously don't have any information on Canada at all.
I'm a canadian and I'd just like to mention that this is definitely one of a kind, nothing like this ever happens here, in any part of the country. I can't believe how awful it is, I don't even know how to process it. thoughts and prayers with the victims family as well as the witnesses.

Re: OMG – haha thats hilarious, who doesn't love having a Cous-band lol
great, two months b4 i take a bus from t-dot to vancouver.
Re: USA –
holy uneducated r you eh?
Thank God for the passengers quick moves and getting this nut job barricaded in the bus until the police arrived. My heart goes out to the passengers. They are going to need therapy for this for years.
Re: USA – Agree. I've also read that terrorists flock to Canada because the laws are much more lenient.
unfortunately it does sound like a horror movie which makes me think that we should really be very careful what we desensitize ourselves to.
So sick!
Re: Linds – Um, you idoit. Being Bipolar does not automatically make you capable of murder.
Re: Cdngi – You can have his STD dick. He got it from you anyway. So sad how sick you are. No wonder nobody likes you.
Kinda makes me think about how many people I slept next to on the Greyhound from Calgary to San Francisco in January…
Re: USA –
i am from the USA, im 17 and i think your comments about canadians are rude and ignorant. i live in buffalo, ny, and canadians are constantly coming to buffalo in great quantities, and many of them come to shop in the mall i work in, so i deal with them on a daily basis, and honestly as a whole i think they are a very nice group of people, much like americans. you cannot generalize a whole country on stereotypes. so what if they say "ahey" or like different music, or sports?
Re: Cdngi – btw, better a cousband (so dumb, so insipid) than a BARRENLESS BITCH. Later much!
my neighbour drives for greyhound and thats his usual route luckily not this time though..
I WISH I didn't live in Winnipeg. It's all I've heard about all day.
My thoughts go out to the victim's family.
Damn you perez! You should have warned us.
This is the first thing I heard when i woke up this morning, I thought it was a bad dream lingering. My heart goes out to the family and to the passengers. I'm so terrified, I just took a Greyhound last week. Now it feels like there's nowhere safe.
Re: USA –
Re: USA – wow. get off it ass hole.
bad things happen everywhere.
Re: USA –
OMG, this is so crazy. I live in Edmonton and couldn't believe it when I heard it. Our hearts and prayers go out to the victims famliy.
Im soooo glad gun control is loose in the US. I would rather be shot in my head than lose it.
Re: USA –
What this guy did is no different than what your soldiers do to innocent civilians in Iraq EVERY DAY!!!!!!!
Re: USA – USA ur an asshole!
Peace.
Re: disg – seriously would u go after a guy with aknife probably bigger than somthing out of a rambo movie.. obviously this guy didnt use a steak knife to BEHEAD someone .. Good that all those other people got out safely to and didnt get harmed in any way ..
Re: LOL – at least we have more balls than u do ..remember .. Canada is BIGGER and we're on TOP .. ASSHOLE
Re: Erin – Ummm Erin .. this is a truthful story its on all news sites.. take a look ..
Re: USA – you are so ignorant. Stay in the sates we don't want you!
So sad.
Re: USA – Fat? umm we're not the ones with an obesity epidemic as our number one health concern… mullets are making a comeback, along with flannel and I don't know anyone that has no teeth, nor listens to rush… so I don't know where in Canada you hang out… and at least I can spell Molson and I have better things to do like play hockey rather than sit on my ass making comments about how much I hate other countries… Anyways, the point being that this happened to a completely innocent person, in an isolated case… My heart goes out to the family and friends of the victim and I hope that the man that did this gets what he deserves… Have a nice day too, eh!
you're clearly a huge f*cking ignorant american loser.
Re: USA –
USA.
May you R.I.P. Tim McLean
Re: USA – Um, its unfortunate that you make a bad name for other Americans by awful comments like that. This is a horrible tragedy, no matter what part of the world it took place in. Open your mind a bit and look past your red white a blue. This is not about country. This is about human beings.
Re: USA – go fuck yourself
How is this juicy gossip-perez You are gross!
Re: rayne – .. we were murder capital of canada!
but yes this is random,
and the guy was from out of provence..
Re: Linds – hahah i herd about that in todays paper too!
mudrer capital and sexest women!
not taking the bus won't change anything….this was a horrible act done by a horrible person…it could have been done on the street anywhere in Canada or anywhere in the world (does that mean you will never leave the house?) being from Winnipeg I can't stand when people talk about it being so dangerous because its not.
OMG.. That`s just horrible .
Re: USA –
That is so nasty!
I am scared to go on the bus now!:S
Re: USA –
um, you're an idiot, eh?
Re: USA –
