LAPD Chief Says Lindsay Lohan Is GAY

samlids__opt1.jpg

As we mentioned yesterday, LA Councilman Dennis Zine is behind a proposal to put stricter laws on the ways the paparazzi operate.

And, today when the meeting took place as to what should be done, it turned more into a showdown between Zine and LAPD Chief William Bratton, who openly opposes the new legislation.

According to Chief Bratton, he decided to leave his morning workout and show up at 6am to be near reporters since apparently Zine's last live interview about the paparazzi aggravated him so much.

He decided to go and "set the record straight."

Bratton said, "I figured I'd come over and straighten out — we have no intention of participating in today's hearing. It's a total waste of time. We have sufficient laws on the books that we enforce to deal with this issue."

Well obviously the laws aren't working or your cops aren't enforcing them properly.

Is Batton getting paid off by the paps????

Bratton continued on by saying that he puts the blame on celebrities, such as Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan, for the constant issues with the paparazzi.

He adds, "If you notice, since Britney started wearing clothes and behaving; Paris is out of town not bothering anybody, thank God; and, evidently, Lindsay Lohan has gone gay, we don't seem to have much of an issue."

Ouch. Outted by the Chief!

Bratton adds, "If the ones that attract the paparazzi behave in the first place, like we expect of anybody, that solves about 90 percent of the problem. The rest of it we can deal with. So as far as all this grandstanding and foolishness, waste of city time on this issue — and the fact that I felt aggravated enough about it to interrupt my workout to come over and set the record straight, LAPD has no intention of participating in this farce."

Ok, and what about the celebs that are avoiding the paparazzi and staying at home and have the paps trespass onto their private property? Such as what happened with Halle Berry?

What do you say to that?

Just as he said, they already have laws on the books that enforce these issues. Someone sneaking onto someone else's property is called trespassing. It is punishable by law if you are a celebrity or not. Law enforcement simply does not want to waste their resources on this shit. Get over it–move to Montana. How many pictures did you see of demi and bruce's kids while they lived in Idaho? Unless you work on a tv show that films in LA, there is no reason to be based there full time. That is, if you are big enough to have paparazzi trespassing on your property. I don't think this is an issue that working actors have.

As if these "stars" don't get enough of everything. They want to be "extra special' with the police. They use the police as props in the their popularity contest. The Chief is so right on. Most of these people cause their own grief and their rich enough to have their own security people. That way the real cops can handle real crimes. Makes sense to me!

Bratton is blaming the celebrities themselves for this. And THAT is crazy.
If we're talking about someone who calls the paps ahead to show up, that's one thing. Or someone who's making a spectacle of themselves (and those he named count), that's another.
    .
Otherwise, NO. He's wrong. Hally is the perfect example.

Because someone chose acting as a profession doesn't mean they signed an agreement to give away all privacy.
    .
When photographers trespass, when they conduct high-speed chases, when they cause traffic congestion, fly overhead in helicopters over private property, and disrupt the lives of neighbors, it IS a problem.
    .
I like gossip, or I wouldn't be on this site. But the paps have gotten too aggressive. I'll do with a few less pictures rather than see another Princess Di.

Oh… and I guess Bratton has been in Lohan's bedroom? If someone hasn't come out, I really don't know any other way you can proclaim their sexual preference.
    .
Me thinks the man needs a long, long, long vacation. Without pay.

    Lindsay is not truely gay.
She said she has a crush on Angelina Jolie and she wanna be like her.
So, she is just givin' one of lesbo so that later she can be famous as Jolie (who has herself some experience in the lesbo scene).

The PAPS are paying him off. The rude paps need to be confronted by the professional ones and fear them as they are hurting their business. The paps have no right to go on private property of celebs and to scare and put the children of the celebs in danger.

    111

Catch 22. They're basing the idea that Lindsay is gay based on a rumor you started. All it means is that he listens to gossip or has a teenaged girl in the house. They have better things to do with their time then verify who is gay and who isn't.

    112

what do you say to that? that's the price you pay for over-rated talent & fame & over-paid fortune. the chief is right. boohoo celebs. no sympathy here.

Re: Nate2I agree. Look at all you sanctimonious inbreds taking umbrage at the fact that celebrities are daring to demand the same rights as the rest of us. If some wanker with a camera started trailing me everywhere I went, I'd either call the cops or give him a black eye. Only in America do people try to justify harassment, invasion of privacy, and out and out stalking. If it was happening to you, you'd all be singing a different tune.

How about that douchebag losing his job. What an asshat. The paps act like stalkers under the name of "free press". His line of thinking is totally in line with the old "wearing a short skirt is asking for rape" attitude. I can't even believe this guy is in charge. With his stupid attitude, he shouldn't be in charge of a cookie booth, let alone a police force. He was so bothered he interrupted his workout? What a fucking schmuck this guy is. What is it going to take to lay down the law on the paps? I am surprised someone hasn't been killed or seriously injured from their behavior. You should be able to leave your house without being swarmed, play in your backyard with your children without being "watched". Being famous does not mean you have a total loss of privacy.

Re: Celia – you are obviously british–what we have here is the first amendment to the constitution. As Americans, we take our constitutional rights very seriously. If you take away paps rights, you are altering our freedom of speech rights that we hold very dear–we left your wonderful land in order to obtain these rights for our future generations. This is why the celebrities always sue the sun, daily mirror, and other rags–same laws don't apply there. I am a native Californian and I will vigorously oppose any such concessions to this amendment–especially for celebrities. These amendments have been in place for many many years, and no way are all the civil rights attorneys in this state going to stand by and watch it happen–they will come out in droves. These are the same people who fought for gay marriage and look what they accomplished. It is not something that just affects the paparazzi; there is much bigger picture.

    122

Braxton addressed the issue - geesh - I wish that people would pay attention and not shut off, simply because they are so closed minded -
"We have sufficient laws on the books that we enforce to deal with this issue."

So, when they climb on Halle Berry's property or anyone elses - LAWS EXIST ALREADY to deal with it. You would think by your writing that because these people trespass then no laws exist, so make a new law and no one trespasses. What a fool.

We have speed laws - few obey, do we need more laws.

WHY DO PEOPLE ALWAYS SAY GO GAY? Its so fucked up. This is not a choice. I wish people were not so narrow minded and fucking stupid. Its also hurtful because that shit will even penetrate people who you thought were your friends.
END HETEROSEXISM. I might go back to taking your straight girlfriends and turning them out

THERE SHOULD BE ONLY A LIMITED NUMBER OF PHOTOGS ALLOWED AND THEY SHOULD BE LICENSED BY THE STATE. THERE SHOULD ALSO BE A STRICT 50-100FT RESTRICTION PLACED ON PHOTOGS SO AS NOT TO CAUSE INJURY OR CAUSE A STALKING SCARE. THEY SHOULD ALSO NOT BE ALLOWED IN ANY WAY TO GIVE CHASE OR FOLLOW ANYONE ON FOOT AND ESPECIALLY IN A CAR. THEY SHOULD ALSO BE BANNED FROM TAKING PIC'S OF ANY STARS CHILDREN SAY UNDER THE AGE OF 15 OR SO WITHOUT PROPER APPROVAL FROM THE PARENT OR GAURDIAN.

ANY OF THEM CAUGHT WITHOUT PROPER LICENSING AND/OR VIOLATING THE CHASE, FOLLOWING OR ANY OF THE OTHER RESTRICTIONS SHOULD BE NOT ONLY FINED HEAVILY ALONG WITH ANY COMPANY THEY REPRESENT BUT THERE SHOULD BE MANDATORY TIME, SAY 3-6 MONTHS AND PERMENANT REVOCATION OF THEIR LICENSE.

IF THE ABOVE WERE INSTITUTED AND STRICKLY ENFORCED THE PROBLEMS THAT STARS AND THE PUBLIC HAVE DUE TO THESE INTRUSIVE AND DANGEROUS PEOPLE WOULD NO DOUBT END PRETTY QUICKLY.
