Well she's an actress, I think that makes her dumb to begin with. I mean it's not like she's out there inventing, saving people, writing books, she reads a script for a living and makes some facial expressions. She's not even a good actress/performer, broadway has great performers, there are some great actors, she isn't even one of those. But whatever, sounds like she has some insecurities to deal with.

i appreciate keira's candidness. i, as well, never went to college and i feel the same way. i've learned more from reading books in my spare time, than i ever learned in high school. college is only useful if you're eager to learn, which many people are not. it's the forced circumstances that make learning seem not as fun.

It's true… As a ballet dancer, you never attend formal university courses and whatnot, but that doesn't mean you're an idiot. People make fun of us all the time… "Yeah, she's a fab dancer, but I'll guarantee she's as dumb as bricks." I say, to hell with them, they never graduated at the top of their class (AP coursework and all), did not win a national scholar award, did not have their writing featured in a national publication, and, I'M SURE, have never attempted to read the classics and the 9/11 Commission Report at the same time. How was that, "intellectuals"? I suppose that you just can't handle the fact that some of us "artsy-fartsy", "crazy", "no-brain" entertainers/dancers/ musicians/writers, are multi-talented.

I guess that would also include Natalie Portman who’s graduated from an Ivy League school? Also does saving people and writing books makes you automatically smart and educated? There are tons of books out there written by idiots who have no idea how to write a book yet they get published because they are famous. Reading scripts for a living doesn’t mean you are ipso facto “uneducated”
Nor does having a college degree means that you are uneducated as well. I think this is just some security issue she has to deal with but I know a lot of people who are pretty smart and never finished college. Especially with the education system these days, a college education doesn’t mean intelligence.
