"Michelle Obama, you're one hot mama," Tyra Banks says in the new issue of Harper's Bazaar.
The Top Model host did her best First Lady in waiting impersonation for the mag's new issue.
Tyra also talked and talked about Obama and Michelle.
She says, "When Barack won the nomination, I just started bawling. I started calling all these people, and everybody was talking to me like I was crazy. They’re like, ‘Well, he hasn’t won yet,’ but I’m like, ‘Yes, he has, because he’s gotten this far.' So what gives me tears is if Barack Obama wins, kids are going to say that a black man can be president, too," she goes on. “I think it will give so many people – black, Latin, Asian, even white people that feel forgotten – hope. I did not think I would see it in my lifetime, and I’m only 34.”
And, as for Barack's wife, Michelle, Banks says, "With Barack Obama, his becoming president is them becoming president because Michelle was there from the beginning. Without Michelle, he wouldn’t be there.”

So, what would Tyra like to see in a First Lady???
“Oh, I want her to not take herself too seriously," she says. "She’d need to know how to take a fierce picture, but at the same time be able to eat fried chicken, have grease on her fingers, and be okay with getting photographed like that, too. I’d want her to feel like every child in America is hers – to have a true connection.”
Hmmm, not so sure about the grease on the fingers part!
Does Tyra realize how irrelevant her input is? Just because they're both black women, it doesn't mean Tyra has anything in common with Michelle Obama.

Obama's 143 days in the senate is considered significant qualification for Presidency?? Well I guess after the competence of W, a candidate just needs to know how to sign his name to become President HUH?? Ben Franklin, John Adams, and Alex Hamilton had been in state government for years, that is considered more experience then Obama's 143 days! Are you sure you did not get that degree out of a crackerjack's box MINX??? At least that explains why you want to vote for Obama (I mean Hillary without the experience). By the way Obama is the one with the Foreign Advisor that has ties to Iran, Zbigniew Brzezinski. And his daughter Mika shameless promoting Obama on the Morning Joe, because if he is elected both of them will get jobs in Obama's administration.I do not know why Obama say Mc Cain is the same old politics when he is just as bad! Franklin, Hamilton etc WEREN'T in state government when they came to the America's they were in their respective professional fields. The point is that u never know who will / will not be exemplerary pple until time passes & their legacy leaves its mark on history. ( Ex), during his lifetime Lincoln was NOT a popular president, it wasn't until time passed that he became recognized as an impact president. Our current Pres. Bush, is concerned w/ his posterity & is doing his hardest to not be footnoted as the most incompetent pres. we have ever had, some people already think that only time will tell if historians will give him what he wants.
Personally, I wouldn't want either candidate as president simply because the 2 party system is ruining this country. Washington never wanted factions in this country. He believed it would tear down the union & to some degree it has b/c we the people are locked into voting for a party instead of a candidate that may reflect ideals that mirror our opinions. The two party system leaves you stuck with choosing the lesser of two evils, voting for someone that may mirror perhaps 40% of your political views.
Next time try "the reply to this" when addressing me. It's rude to post comments a/b people & not let them know it, be direct. I can agree to disagree with ur political views. BTW, the institutions I graduated from r stellar. Stick to the facts, avoid personal attacks, ur claws are showing.

Although I don't think it's as much a testament to him as it is to the American people. Unfortunately I think he's gotten this far mostly because he's black. But it shows that we are not a predominantly racist nation.

Oprah actually said she would never Publicly endorse a candidate because she has never met one she fully supported…. until now, big difference.
Oprah has also said this in regards to books and movies as well. If Barack wins it wouldn't be Oprah that put him there either. As for anyone saying "Go McCain '08" no one is assuming you are "racist" b/c you like him, if you punctuate it with b/c he's white, you left urself open to be considered racist. Lastly, black people emphasize he is black because our current racial classification system makes him so thanks to Plessy vs. Ferguson and the "one drop rule".
