Despite being hosted by (or because of?) Miley Cyrus, this year's Teen Choice Awards was up a whopping 73% from last year in the 12-17 age demo. This year’s show aired three weeks earlier than last year, in order to avoid the Olympics and political conventions.
Wowsers!
It also marked the biggest showing in four years in their key 12-17 demo.
We're going to credit the Jonas Brothers and the cast of Gossip Girl for the surge.
We're sure a slew of yougins tuned in to see all the cute boys.
Plus, most kids haven't started school again yet. NOW would be a good time to have the awards show again next year!

I heart the jonas brothers. JOE by far fave one. the show was good but couldnt stand to see miley blah.

You know what, I'm tired of hearing about the Jonas Bros, no one is saying that they are totally a rip off of Hanson, everyones comparing them to the beatles, my ass the beatles. They are a rip off of Hanson and I don't want to hear different cuz it's true, 3 bros, play and write there own music, the cute middle brother on lead vocals, COME ONNNNN. I love Hanson and this Jonas thing is ridicules. And Miley Cirus is a phony, she acts inecent in public, but she's a bully and a slut. Team Selena Gomez and Demi, all the way. Even though everything is just ridicules to begin with.
Jonas was the reason I watched it.And kind of Gossip Girl.And Team Selena!And Miley cannot dance.ACDC should've won.
