You know, it makes me warm and fuzzy inside to realize that I'm not the only one who understands that President Bush is not wrong in holding the flag that way. I'll explain…
My boyfriend is a Sargent in the Army. He has a patch on all of his Army Uniforms on his right arm with a picture of the flag. The flag is facing the same way that the president is holding it. The reason for that is because it's symbolizing the flag being carried into battle,it's a symbol of strength, courage and pride. If you look at it the other way (that people normally hold it) it's going away from battle. The flag is actually supposed to be the way President Bush is holding it.
He's not the sharpest knife in the drawer… but he's actually right on this one.
