I love the cure and yes, they do still rock. I saw them in concert recently and it was one of the best shows I have ever seen! They sound even better live. How many bands actually sound better live? Rock on Robert!

But I think they might be a little old for all the makeup
Why would they change? This is their sound, this is their look. Clearly, those saying they should have a "new look" think everything is just costume and image. This is the way they dress; deal with it. You'd would prefer them to look like a Disney band??

The phrasing gets a little uncomfortable, but this day is improved by hearing the Cure - the air seems lovelier, I'm noticing the birds, the grass looks healthy…so I'm grateful they're still producing. As far as "updating their look" - to what? We're in a fashion gap in time right now. The 80s were prom dresses and men's smoking jackets, dancing all night, scooters, friends, diner breakfasts…glamorous and free…and hopeful.
Reminds me of when I was a cokehead in the 80's. Back then, cool, today - too mopey. However, I would rather see The Cure on here ANYDAY over that Disney teen crap Perez is always pimping.
I've been a Cure fan for 25 years. They still are fabulous!
I find it a bit more mellow but a lot like their older stuff. I loved The Cure in high school and I still love them now.
As for some comments on Roberts look…the stones are what in their late 60's and still have the same styles and haircuts they did in the 70's!! lol
I LOVE THE CURE. they are the greatest and Robert Smith is a lyrical genius.I have to say that since they have lasted a lot longer then most of the bands out there is amazing and that they do what they want to do for the sake of themselves and not others is great too.I love the new stuff as well as their old stuff,I can honestly say I have been a huge Cure fan since Disintegration.

still the cure is forever in my top 10 favorite bands…charlotte sometimes still chokes me up.

I think this is great. I've been a Cure fan for over 20 years and it's nice that some of my favorite bands keep going for it. Robert Smith still sounds GREAT!
