Donald Trump has followed through on his early, big-mouth claims of wanting to help out the money-troubled Ed McMahon.
On Thursday, the Donald announced that he’d ‘save’ Ed’s Beverly Hills mansion from foreclosure by buying it for an undisclosed amount and leasing it to McMahon.
The McMahon home was listed at $4.6 million last weekend — down from a peak price of $7 million.
Donald told the Los Angeles Times he doesn’t know McMahon personally but acted out of compassion because helping out “would be an honor.” He also went on to say, “When I was at the Wharton School of Business I’d watch him every night. How could this happen?”
The former Carson sidekick’s spokesman said that paperwork on the sale had not been completed but that McMahon was “very optimistic” the deal would go through.
It’s good to see that the Donald’s latest publicity stunt is going to help someone other than himself!
