MORE Opening Ceremony Faking Revealed!!!!

Are ethnic kids 'not cute enough'?

It's been revealed that more kids were asked to fake it in the Beijing Opening Ceremony!

According to a new report, the children who marched out in full costume supposedly representing the country's 56 ethnic groups were in fact all from the same one, the majority Han Chinese race.

The official guide to the opening ceremony said that the children did not just represent but "came from" China's ethnic groups:

"Fifty-six children from 56 Chinese ethnic groups cluster around the Chinese national flag, representing the 56 ethnic groups."

When Wang Wei, executive vice-president of the Beijing organizing committee, was asked about the latest misinformation scandal at a press conference on Friday, he said:

"I think you are being very meticulous," he said. He said it was "traditional" to use dancers from other ethnic groups in this way.

"I would argue it is normal for dancers, performers, to be dressed in other races' clothes," he said. "I don't know exactly where these performers are from."

Are things getting lost in translation?!

They shouldn't be claiming shiz that's not true!

Re: Andy27 – If you would educate yourself a little bit, you would realize there ARE some differences between the Asian ethnic groups. Basically, Chinese have the flatter faces, more roundish eyes in some people and are paler in their complexion; Japanese are slightly less flat-faced and not as pale and rarely have roundness in the eyes. The Vietnamese, Thai and Cambodians are usually very short, small statured and darker skinned. Koreans can look either like Chinese or Japanese, depends. Do some research before making such an ignorant statement! I'm sure Asians think the same way about us white folks.

Re: MicheleTheBelle – Yes, there are a huge variety of ethnic groups based on location. For example, the northern part of China has more Mongols, who are stockier and shorter than the Han Chinese. Then in the western province of China you have the groups that are more of a blend of Chinese, Arab and Turkish (Uighers, Uzbeks, Kazaks, etc.) They are Muslim in their religion (there are also the Hui, who are ethnically Han but are Muslim instead of Buddhist)

perez i love u, but lately u almost seemed like u've been paid to say shit about china, ever since the olympic started u never said one thing good about them but rather all negative ones, and something like this isnt even worth mentioning about.. i dont see anything wrong with that? they are representing these cultures!! China spent so many years to create such an awesome opening for the everyone in the world to enjoy, and all they get is hate???
it seems like u are doing this intentionally to make china look bad.. not working.

It seems to me that there is a lot of China bashing going on. Why I ask…could it be that America is full of intolerant racists??
