Hershey's is raising prices on all their products.
By a lot!
The cost of your chocolate Kisses and other such items will be 10% higher in the near future.
"Commodity costs have been volatile over the last several years and continue to remain at levels that are well above historical averages," said David J. West, president and chief executive of Hershey's. "Market prices for ingredients such as cocoa, corn sweeteners, sugar and peanuts are up 20% to 45% since the beginning of the year."
Cry us a river…of chocolate!

This is bad news for Fat Asses (like my aforementioned ex-boyfriend: picture Nick Carter, only 60 ilbs heavier). Most young people are trying to make ends meet so they can get into NYU on a partial scholarship, how can they afford to stuff their fat faces full of candy when the prices sky-rocket? Candy at Wal Mart was the only thing those poor fat youngin's had to look forward to while saving for school. Now what? It's either be stuck at the local Junior College and give up the dream so they can afford chocolate… or go without chocolate… I, personally would choose the option "A" if I were them!!!
I actually work for Hershey's… this is sad, but true! Nobody likes raising prices! It's insane how expensive EVERYTHING is now.
Oh, and Elvis was actually a limited edition item that doesn't exist anymore - for all of you who weren't too excited about the flavor.
For all you haters out there, let it be known that the Elvis Peanut Butter Cups were one of the most successful limited edition products in Hershey's history. Although they are no longer available in stores, I believe you can still purchase them on Ebay. Long live Queen Perez and King Elvis.
No one is allowed to complain about the economy if they drink coffeee at starbuck's, eat candy bars or smoke cigarettes- those are really expensive and unnecessary. I'm not saying you can't or shouldn't feed your little addictions, but don't bitch about having no money for gas!
DUH. Probably *every* product will be raising prices (or else using cheaper ingredients). If gas prices rise, the price of everything else will too, reflecting companies' rising costs of having stuff shipped.

We should boycott Hershey's anyway since they cut 1,500 American jobs and moved the Hershey plant to Mexico. Imagine, cutting jobs in Hershey, PA, almost the best place in the USA. BOYCOTT HERSHEY. There's probably poop in that chocolate.
