Touching Tribute

This brought a tear to our eye and softened our callous heart!
According to the UK's The Sun, the three Hollywood stars who completed Heath Ledger's final film role have donated their pay to his two-year-old daughter, Matilda.
Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Farrell were worried for Matilda’s future as Heath left an old will which did not include the little one.
Heath's dad, Kim Ledger, is in control of Heath's estate. Family members have said they're concerned that daddy will mismanage the actor's money.
The three played versions of Heath's character, Tim, in fantasy epic The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus.
Film director Terry Gilliam said, “They didn’t take money — it goes to Heath’s daughter. That’s extraordinary! And wonderful . . . and when you’re part of that, you think, ‘Ah, this is maybe why I went into the movies in the beginning. I thought it would be full of wonderful people. And we’ve got a movie full of wonderful people who did extraordinary things to help.”
Johnny Depp is a father of two, Jude Law has four and Colin Farrel has a son.

But I somehow doubt the girl is going to ever be hurting for much. Considering who her father and mother are, I don't think she's going to be in much financial turmoil.

What a wonderful tribute…Finally some Hollywood actors do something generous and not self promoted. That should teach Angelina a thing or two.- Matilda will be fine because her mtoehr is a very decent and excellent actress. God bless them both.

That is so sweet!! Good for them! It just makes me wish though that Heath was around to see this, and more importantly, to see his daughter grow up. Still makes me sad whenever I hear about anything related to him.

That's amazing! It's nice to know that there are still some good people out there in Hollywood among all the assholes. Still, I hope Heath's dad does the right thing and makes sure Matilda is taken care of. He's said he will, but words are just that - words.

it's pretty cool that in a place like hollywood where people are so materialistic and selfish and obsessed with money that there are still some other people are are so thoughtful and kind.
This was really a cool thing for them to do. Matilda is the real victim in all of this.

that's something people should do more often… if you have money to give to a worthy cause, I don't understand why you wouldn't. These 3 guys deserve some recognition for their generosity and thoughtfulness! They get a gold star in my book

how touching…that's one of the most unselfish acts i have heard in awhile.
I don't understand why anybody has a bad thing to say about this at all, kids cost money. Granted mom has her own movie list and money, but none of us knows how much she really has.
As for the needy kids, did you ever think maybe, just maybe these are the same stars ( a long with a lot more ) that give to charitys ALL the time?
I think some of you are just jealous of a little girl, I've got 2 kids of my own and I have worked for everything that they have, And i didn't get hit by the housing crash because i didn't buy more house then i could afford. Some people who got tangled up in the housing crash only have themselves to blame, if something sounds too good it probably is. period
so again kudos to all 3 of them, it's refreshing to see people thinkig about others and not just about themselves
