Is Zacquisha Worth $10 Million?

According to reports, if Disney wants Zac Efron back for a fourth installment of High School Musical, they're going to have to pay him handsomely.
HSM3 isn't even out in theaters yet - that's released in October - but Disney is already planning a fourth one.
And, Zac's reported price tag???
Yup, $10 mill.

Please, please, no HSM 4, I think that whole 'franchise' has had it's run. I doubt Zacquisha will let this offer down.
Re: chibeacher – Very perceptive comments. Zacquisha and her, oops, his management has previously been adamant that they wanted to move away from the tween/teen types of roles, but here he is going back one more time to the Disney gravy train.

What this tells me is that his managers at CAA must know that the 'Seventeen Again' and 'Orson Welles'movies are projecting as major flops. It seems to me that the strategy is to go for one more big Disney payday, in order to set him up financially for the downward track that his career is likely to take after it becomes aware that he cannot carry a mainstream movie.

And it's sad, but as regards the HSM juggernaut, Zacquisha IS probably woth the $10M. The reason is that a LOT more money is made from the merchandising and spinoff products (including DVDs) than will ever be made from the movies themselves. Even paying the $10M, Disney will still make out like bandits.
NO ACTOR is worth that much.

Considering the amount of money Disney makes on those movies, and from all the products with HSM plastered all over it, I definitely think disney owes Zephron and all the stars a big raise for a 4th film!
Are you kidding? Hes got practically nothing under his belt. One T.V. series and a movie with a few sequels and hes already asking 10 mil? Julia Roberts is asking 20 mil for her movies and has been around forever. And has the talent to back it up. What a cocky little kid. Imagine what he will be like at her age. I hoped id look down this talkback and see titles along the line of "OH MY GOD NO" "HOW AWFUL" "NO WAY" instead I see "Of course he's worth 10 mil, he carries HSM" Firstly…WHAT THE F*CK!?! 10 million!??!?!?!?!??!?!?! If he'd proven himself in a serious role and therefore shown that he can actually act - not just look pretty (which he undeniably is) then a pay rise is deemed worthy…but to star in a franchise that is smiles no substance and a musical that he only starred in due to the wholesome look (that incidentally he only got from HSM) then im sorry but what the hell is going on!? i feel sorry for you tax payers in america…if i lived there thenevery month i would die a little knowing that some of my money was pumping i nto a government that applauds, no….positively EXHAULTS this kind of madness. Disney is making a killing on this guy's image, so yes. I am sure that being known as HSM boy does very little for his adult career and therefore it should benefit him financially. It is hard to drop that "first impression" and it will likely take him a bit of time to build up a new image. I really hope he does not do a HSM4 though and I am a big fan. He IS a good actor and I think he needs to go a new direction. But who am I to comment really? I would love to have the option of $10 million as a paycheck!

I think that he is developed into an excellent actor! The disney/tween market make millions of dollars off of him and the other stars of the movie, and he deserves to make some of it as well! I dont think they should stop making the movies either because they are good for young children
