Re: PunkyBrewstein – yes, I did. I listened with an open mind and really wanted to like her, but she came off sounding really phony and rehearsed.

  2. 102

it really doesn't matter what party you are voting for, this appearance and display of courage was incredible.

the Kennedy's are a bunch of assholes. I used to work for the president of a major pharmaceutical manufacturer a few years back, and one of Teddy's nephews was trying to get us on board in a business venture of his. This guy was the most entitled piece of shit I ever encountered. Arrogant as can be, yelling at me that my boss was rude for making him wait in the lobby too long. It was laughable, since he was the one trying to sell us HIS his product! After trying not to snort into the phone too loudly, I politely hung up and relayed his tantrum to my boss, who laughed and said "make him wait another ten minutes then". When I finally brought him into the office, I was astounded by his "kiss-my-ass-I'm-a-Kennedy" attitude. We sure had a good laugh when he left…

  4. 104

God bless him — but he did NOT look well or do well. I thought he fell far short of the usual Kennedy soaring rhetoric.
And, you know, the people of Massachusetts overwhelmingly voted for Hillary and he was supposed to represent those people. But he supported Oba-me.

  5. 105

Sen. Kennedy was AWESOME last night! He is an amazing man. I wish him well!

  6. 106

Why do people come to a website that is written by a person with different ideas then them? Go to McBush.com to find your close minded friends.

  7. 107

Amazing! He is a living inspiration! TED KENNEDY IS A LEGEND!

  8. 108

INSANELY touching. can't wait for the upcoming election…

  9. 109

ps. and he's looking really good for all his recent health problems.
    love the kennedys.

  10. 110

Ted Kennedy is an idiot. He deserves no glory, not a drop of respect. He deserves nothing.

It's so sad that in this day and age people will still try to kill Barack simply for being black…. shameful.

Re: Suzi – Who are you to pass judgment on another human being, only God can do that. Your comments make me want to vomit. Shame on you

  14. 114

Gee how come you have a problem with celebrities driving drunk, but you have no problem with the fact that this man drove drunk and left a woman to die? This man cared more about his political career than to report the incident and possibly save this woman. He is a liar and a hypocrite, and watching you liberals fawn all over him shows what kind of people you are!

  15. 115

    Let him Die in Peace!

  16. 116

I really hope that everyone can really grasp this amazing time we are in. No longer do we have to be scared of what is to come and of more disapointment. With Obama we can really start dreaming again. Where anything is possible, we just need someone like him and Teddy of course to help us a long the way. We are going to be telling our Grandchildren about these moments, just like most of ours speak of Kennedy. Change is finally here and it feels good!

  17. 117

    burn in Hell fat Ted.

He is not a nice person. When he meets his maker he will face judgment and FAIL.

  20. 120

Ugh! Just because he has cancer doesn't make him anything less than the drunken murderer that he is. People keep calling this an accident, and that's what it was initially. But when he failed to report it and let the girl drown when she could have been saved, it turned into something more sinister. Accidents happen every day. Not reporting them and allowing someone to die as a result of your inaction is not an every day occurrence and should NEVER be condoned regardless of a family's wealth or power.

  21. 121

Re: CALAMITY – Enough with the whole Mary Jo thing… GOD! People will take the one little thing they know about Ted Kennedy…

Last I checked, the untimely death of a living breathing person is not "some little thing". What an offensive, ignorant statement to make. I seriously doubt you'd feel that way had this "one little thing" involved your mother or sister.

Just because a certain amount of time passes doesn't mean that that woman never existed nor does it make the crime committed that day any less horrific. We all have skeletons, that's true, however I'd wager a good guess that most of us have never murdered someone or stood idly by while someone died. That's what pisses people off. Accidents happen, it's how one handles the aftermath that speaks to character.

  22. 122

    Chappaquiddick! Chappaquiddick! Chappaquiddick! Chappaquiddick!
Chappaquiddick! Damn, I wish I could have been there.

  23. 123

Why don't you publish my comments ? Am I being censored ?

  24. 124

    It wasn't great.

  25. 125

    Re: Uker

What, cause she asked for the other side of things? You comment makes you look like a moron. You make liberals look like the cunts they are.

Re: Badgers – "We all have skeletons, that's true, however I'd wager a good guess that most of us have never murdered someone or stood idly by while someone died."
First off it was an accident NOT murder this is Ted Kennedy not Ted Bundy so stop trying to make it sound worse than what it was. This was a tragic accident. She drowned and he couldn't get to her b/c of the current, so no he didn't "stood idly by" His actions afterwards were piss poor judgment period. He did what high profile people to this day do, call everyone but the police first.

  27. 127

YAWN!! Another liar who happens to also be a jackass.

Brainwashed!! All of y'all. Ain't got no clue about politics.

  28. 128

I am sure Hillary was inspired and Mary Jo if she was still alive..

    Re: KevinK
Well put! I like the way you think…

  32. 132

    Re: Minx

Ok, I see your point on how "accidents happen everyday," but in this case, ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

First off, drunk driving is never an accident. Even if he really tried to save her and contacted the authorities, he is still completely guilty in my mind.

Second, he saved his own ass then left that poor girl to drown! And regardless if he really tried to save her or not, he ran away without telling anyone in order to preserve his political career.

And I don't buy for a second that he actually tried to save her.

"The incident carries a controversial dark-cloud for Kennedy because John Farrar, the diver who retrieved Kopechne's body early the following morning, stated Kopechne was in a position suggesting she had been breathing from a pocket of air trapped in the back-seat wheel well and had suffocated and not drowned, which implied that had Kennedy contacted authorities immediately, rescuers may have saved her life."

So honestly Perez, you get in a pissy about the stupidest things (like Kathrine Heigl smoking) while bowing down to this murderer. Get a freaking life buddy.

So, in a muslim world if the father is muslim, then so is the kid. Funny how obama doesn't claim his white side at all. This will be his downfall.

  34. 134

Re: habsfan890 you're all fucked up i'm glad you all have respect…

Really, this all has a lot to do with nothing.

  35. 135

Re: VEGASStef Why do people come to a website that is written by a person with different ideas then them? – Maybe because we don't want so surround ourselves with like-minded people in order to learn something new instead of hearing the same rah rah pom pom cheering from the same people? And as far as I know, this isn't a site for only Dems and W haters. Don't like it? Leave.

  36. 136

Re: Minx It's so sad that in this day and age people will still try to kill Barack simply for being black…. shamefu
You are right. I agree 100%. Esp since he has so many other actual REAL faults to complain about.

But it's not different than someone getting all hateful just because someone is a Republican. Like many do in here.

  37. 137

Re: krazihottkelli/bitchygrl So, in a muslim world if the father is muslim, then so is the kid. Funny how obama doesn't claim his white side at all. This will be his downfall.

No, him being an extreme leftist that claims he is for "change" and doesn't go into what he is for will be his downfall. It was Kerry's.

  39. 139

Are amazing at being drunk and raping woman and getting away with it. Not to mention leaving a dying woman at the bottom of a lake.

Other than that… meh. Oh I do applaud the brothers for tag teaming Monroe.
