John McCain has chosen Alaska Governor Sarah Palin to be his Vice Presidential running-mate, the Associate Press is reporting.
This is historic!!!!
In January, we will either have our first African-American President or our first female Vice-President!!!!!!!!!!!
Walls are being broken down and ceilings shattered in America.

I think it is amazing for america we need changes made in here for either obama are the lady at the top of america it great ro be a women in 2008 i wish some of the women for voting rights for women where still alive to see we have come along way here. I hope the right choice is made to get are country to move in a positive direction and do great things for the planet,pets,and people.

Okay, I work in Washington DC, scoop flying around the offices right now is McCain's handlers are having a fit, and this was a "mad-dog" decision on his part, against ALL handlers advice (there's a huge process that goes on when "Vetting" - which means investigation the various vice-president candidates).

If McCain/Palin is elected, you can say goodbye to Roe v. Wade. If McCain/Palin is elected 47 million Americans will STILL be without health care. Such would be disasterous. I can't understand this particular choice of VP running mate. I can understand wanting a female on the ticket for many reasons but why this particular one? She's an unknown with no experience at all. For anyone wanting to talk about her "experience", let's keep in mind that she is the ONLY one of the four on the ballot that has ANY executive experience. (McCain, Obama, and Biden are only legislative.)

Obama had the chance to do something outside of the box but instead, he stuck to same old "safe" Washington politics by picking Biden. This is my first year as an American citizen who is registered to vote. This election is purely based on race and gender and not on political views. I definitely see another 4 years of Bush administration and good luck to us all, and this comes from a registered Republican.

Can we PLEASE stop saying McCain will die in office because his is 72?! Americans are living longer. The president's age will slowly and steadily increase as time goes by. As will the age of first time parents, and the average age for retirement. As we all live longer, we tend to accomplish things later in life. When was the last time a president died of natural causes while in office??? It has been a long time children, and we have wonderful medical care for presidents now.
