Politicians come and go, the presidency is 4 maybe 8 years if a politician's lucky. My question to you is this: When are we going to start collectively and CONSECUTIVELY put in office people that will push the Issues you support and vote out an exposed liar after 4 years of not doing enough? EVERY politician makes promises, it is up to us to hold them accountable and toss them out when they don't meet expectations. Case and point, Bush should not have been in office for 8 years. For the last time, focus on the issues that MATTER TO YOU and start laying the groundwork to actively put in office people that will get it done and vote them out if they don't it's that simple. If we stick to that formula we can as a country make some progress. If McCain represents the Issues you support go for him If Obama does go for Obama. Race and gender are smoke and mirrors please don't get swallowed in that blackhole. Focus on the ISSUES you care about and vote accordingly.

Yeah, I agree with Andy27. At least we know what to expect with McCain. I'm still sketchy on Obama and I'm not sure if he can do all that he says that he will do.
Obama is a sweet talker and he makes some damn good speeches and he can probably convince anyone to vote for him just like the Germans followed Hitler, because Hitler was a great orator and pretty much convinced all of Germany.
That being said, I don't think that either candidate is worthy of my vote 100%.

FYI_ I read that "she chose to go forward with her pregnancy, knowing that the child would have Down Syndrome. But she also chose to fly around the day she went into labor because her speech was more important than the delivery of her child, and then proceeded to return to work 3 days after the baby was born. Who is taking care of her kids?

The only way a woman her age could keep milk in is if she used a berast pump for the 13 years on a constant daily basis after her last child was born. Trust me, nobody wants to breast feed. Re: Anonymous – I only have one argument for not voting. The President has the power to name Supreme Court Justices. Probably his most powerful position. These decisions have a lasting effect since the Justice is in position until they give it up. This can be crucial. Regardless of all the rhetoric noise, it is important to get someone in the office that best represents your morals and beliefs. No matter what they are. It's not about policy but about the power from the bench. Presidents come and go but Supreme Court justices are permanent. I think you could at least figure out which guy represents your ideals and go vote for him.

Ok my last thoughts on this:It seems like many of you on here are dwelling into your personal matters that really do not have much to do with the topics at hand. It is becoming a game of name calling and seeing who has the bigger dick here, if you get what I mean.
We each hold our own opinions on matters of politics and religion, etc. And we should be able to discuss them in a civil matter, not like we are in 5th grade and i took the last cookie in the lunch line. You cannot be taken seriously when each of you take turns at trying to bring the other person down. I have both liberal and conservative friends. People take Republican and Deomcrat and associate those names with liberal and conservative. It is not entirely true…it just happens they tend to steer that way in most cases.
Ideally, we should be open to hearing out both parties….research their views…sometimes people find that both sides offer something they like….just find which one best suits you. We can name call McCain and Obama, but people who do that are usually those who dont do their homework and go by what the awful media tells them (NBC, ABC,FOX,CNN are all horrible stations if you are really looking for the facts…I cant even watch a seriosu news channel in the morning….always something about make up or TV guests). Go online, go to the library…hell, ask around….
Its like when you were in High School…there are people you just didnt like because people you knew didnt like them…then one day you had to talk to them and you found out that they werent so bad…..

Her ex-brother in law, Wooten, drove drunk in a state trooper car, tazered his step son who was like 11 or 12, killed a moose out of season and in city limits… he threatened to kill numerous people. Why on earth wasn't he fired? Troopers here in Alaska act like they are the law, do what ever the fuck they want, are complete assoles to any and everyone. He got out of control and should have definately been fired for drinking and driving, especially in a State Trooper patrol car.
