I think it was quite Idiotic for John McCain to pick Sarah Palin, whose political experience pales in comparison to seasoned legislators like those also involved in the bid for the Presidency, as his runningmate. Not only is she inexperienced and knows nothing about foreign policy, she is also being investigated for allegedly abusing her power to get her sister's ex-husband fired, and when the police chief failed to do so he was allegedly wrongly released from his position.

OKAY. TO SET THE RECORD STRAIGHT!!!… I was born and raised in Wasilla, AK. Sarah Palin was our mayor when I was in highschool. I graduated from Wasilla High school with a senior class of about 350…. not a SINGLE one of them was black. We had two students.. who were twins who were half alaskan native/half black… and they looked more native then anything. In the town on wasilla i knew of only one black family.. and let me remind you again… its a small town and i was born and raised there. Now.. if you go to a bigger city in Alaska like Anchorage (the biggest city) or Fairbanks you will see plenty of black people… but ONLY and I repeat.. ONLY because those are military and their dependents. Anchorage has both an air force base and an army base… chances are if you were to run into a black person ANYWHERE in alaska.. they are military or their family is retired military living in alaska.
i mean i love diddy but he's wrong. there are about 24,000 black people in alaska out of about 670,000. that's just 3.5% of the population but there are some…lol either way mccain won't win with palin beauty contestant ass….lol
I have never commented here before but I'd just like to say that some of you people are idiots. Sarah Palin is a Governor and Obama is a Senator. If you people paid any attention in 5th grade social studies you would know that a governor has a hell of a lot more responsibility since they run an entire state. You people should actually make decisions for yourself instead of letting other people influence you.

First off there are black people in Alaska, and secondly why does that matter? She is a woman, and a woman has never been president. If she were a black woman would that make a difference, probably. Diggy has lost it. We do not need to make this or any other election about race. Also, we don't need to alienate any state for its geography, Alaska is still part of the US. She obviously does not have alot of experience in foreign policy or public service at all, that much is true. I have to admit that I'm actually troubled by the support rallied around Palin. My immediate response to hearing the news was that of many others around the country and the world "Who the f&*% is Sarah Palin?" Suspending disbelief and sarcasm (which is hard for me), I decided to watch her acceptance speech before jumping to conclusions. She failed to impress me. The same woman who criticized Clinton and called her "whiney" was standing in front of the world heralding her accomplishments and letting us ladies know that we weren't done yet.
To think that putting a woman on the ticket actually APPEALS to former Clinton supporters is mind-numbing to me. I'll leave out the beauty pagents, the "trooper-gate" and the like and focus on what's truly troubling.
This woman threatened to sue the federal government for putting polar bears on the endangered species list, she is an incredibly right wing conservative and apparently is still trying to figure out what a vice president does every day.
Thinking about the potential Supreme Court justice retirements approaching, I can't stand the thought of this woman standing in a position of power. If she does in fact, succeed in breaking any glass ceilings it will be to only rebuild them much lower than they've been in a long while
