Everybody's got their skeletons, but not every gun-toting, pro-life, anti-gay rights mother of 5 is running for Vice President!
The good news: It seems like Sarah Spears Palin did give birth to her son earlier this year - the one that was born with Down Syndrome.
The bad news: As has been reported, Sarah's daughter has been pulled out of school for months now, citing a severe case of "mono."
Uh huh!
Well, now the truth has come out.
Palin's daughter, Bristol Palin (above), 17 years old, is pregnant.
The slutty teen is keeping the baby and plans to marry its father.
Bristol, a senior in high school, is about five months along, in her second trimester.
Republican presidential nominee John McCain was aware of Bristol Palin's teenaged pregnancy before he chose her mommy.
McCain advisers said Palin told Johnny boy about her daughter's pregnancy in one of their "private conversations" last week, before he officially asked her to run with her. However, McCain aides said he already knew, having found out about it earlier in the vetting process. "She was very upfront about it," one aide insisted.
The Palins and the McCain campaign decided to reveal this information now because of Internet rumors that Sarah Palin's 4-month-old baby, who has Down syndrome, was actually Bristol's.
The Palins issued a statement Monday about their whore daughter.
Sarah and her husband, Todd Palin, say they are "proud of Bristol's decision to have her baby and even prouder to become grandparents. Bristol and the young man she will marry are going to realize very quickly the difficulties of raising a child, which is why they will have the love and support of our entire family."
They also asked the media to respect their daughter's privacy.

It's very important to talk to your kids about sex and - whether you like it or not - provide them with education and alternatives (the pills, condoms, etc).
Sarah Palin probably didn't talk to her daughter openly about sex, and she probably sure as hell didn't encourage her to use condoms!

Yes, the lesson here is always talk to your daughters which is more important than throwing baseless, sexist accusations about the 2nd American female veep candidate. The historians who will write this in feminist history should not play into Republican trap by portraying this episode as a dark and shameful attempt of the Obama camp to bring down another woman like they "brought down" Hilary. They should focus on the more pressing issue of parent-child communication and forget those who aided and abetted this "shameful character assasination" like Perez, who is good at heart. Whatever we do to Republicans, remember, they are evil so everything we do is justified. Let us hope that the media will continue to be on the side of the Democrats as they have always been. This sort of makes me upset, usually I take these stories with a grain of salt - but to assume that the reason she is pregnant is because they didn't have the 'sex talk' or offer protection - well, I think that is a sad assumption. There are plenty of condom and pill babies out there, hence it not being 100% effective.

My thoughts: Sounds like Sarah Palin's daughter made a choice and have sex w/ her boyfriend and the end result was a baby. That's BRISTOL'S problem; not her mother's… Also, it appears that Bristol and the baby's father are doing the right thing and are trying to provide their new son with a proper family by getting married. I wish them the best. Hopefully that sweet, baby boy can keep their relationship strong and their marriage will be a success. Sounds pretty normal Perez. This is what our world's come to. Parents often give their kids too much slack and they end up pregnant at 17. It happens, look at Jamie Lynn and millions of other teens. Being 17 and pregnant is not that uncommon today and does not make this girl a whore. Calling her one when you don't know her only makes you look ignorant. It's Sarah's priorities that bother me. Having a special needs child and another one who is pregnant will require a lot of time. Why then is she perfectly happy to skip out on them to campaign all over the country? If the McCain team wins she would be uprooting her entire family and her attention would then continue to be torn away from the needs of all her children, most importantly from the special needs one. This more than anything else speaks to her character and that disturbs me. What other things is she willing to do to put her career first?

Doesn’t this just make it all the more plausible that the first baby was hers, too? Born five months ago (the daughter is now “five months pregnant,” perhaps less), and the daughter has shown herself to be engaging in premarital sex. Clearly Palin has done an excellent job imparting family values.

I really believe McCain's camp picked someone who would be sensational only to release her after they have stirred things up. He will then select Pawlenty or Lieberman. They needed to steal the headlines from Obama. They will have Palin release a statement that will say something along these lines: Due to my personal and professional circumstances, I believe the integrity of the campaign will be compromised. I, and I alone, have made the decision to excuse myself from the campaign and will whole heartedly support the candidate John McCain wanted to select in the first place. Obama did the classy thing by calling on the media to back off. He personally can relate to this, as his own mother was young and unmarried while pregnant with him.

Oh yeah, and if you do want to bring crap like this up keep this in mind. Barack was born on August 4, 1961. His parents got married on February 2, 1961. His mom turned 18 on November 29, 1960. So, his mom was unmarried when she became pregnant with Barack and if she was 18 it was only by days (very likely conceived a few weeks before turning 18). This doesn't make Barack or his mother any lesser.

Okay I think the media has taken this girl being pregnant way out of line. They are acting like she is the first teenager to ever get pregnant! That's how life is these days, teens get pregnant all the time. Its not the mothers fault, the girl was OLD ENOUGH to know what she was doing. But, I don't understand how Jamie Lynn Spears can get pregnant at 16 and be on effing magazine covers and be treated with all these gifts. But this girl who is getting married to the babies daddy is being called a slut and a whore and being labeled without us even knowing all the details! Its not fair. It only takes ONE time. Also, its not like the girl came out and said she was pregnant to the world! We did that for her!

I am a MAJOR Obama supporter, and though Sarah Palin's politics make me ill (not to mention the sound of her weird shrill voice) — calling her daughter a whore is totally wrong, irresponsible, and out of line. She's a kid, man. And most likely a kid whose friends read your blog, she probably reads it herself. Most teenagers I know do. She is not the one running for VP, and therefore is in the public eye by default, not by choice.

Re: PMAC – My guess is the "no sex education = money" rule in high schools that was implemented under the Bush administration and that will likely be continued under a McCain administration. The only kind of sex education allowed was the abstinence kind, and if a school talked about birth control or using condoms they lost funding. Also I don't know but I think there's something missing in society and in the family where girls are getting pregnant. Maury Povich will never run out of guests that are 12 to 17 years old and pregnant, and oh what about those girls that have sex with like 5 guys and have no clue who the father is? Then there's those 17 girls on the east coast that pledged to get pregnant. As I said before, we don't know what kind of family the Palins had, but there definitely is something missing if their daughter is having sexual intercourse at age 17, ya know? I mean why do kids need to have sex when they're 15, 16, or 17? Whatever happened to masturbating or using sex toys? The teenage pregnancy and STD rates keep going up every year. Granted, Canada has the same situation happening, but I am pretty sure the rate of teenage pregnancy is not as high per 1,000 girls.

Don't be deceived by this latest announcement. None of the original concerns surrounding Trig's birth have been answered. All Palin had to do was produce evidence that she is Trigs mom.
