EVERYONE is talking about Bristol and Sarah Palin today - even Lindsay Lohan!
The bisexual actress just posted the following on her official blog:

I've been watching the news all morning, like everyone else - and i keep hearing about the issues related to 'teen pregnancy'- It's all related to Sarah Palin and her 17 year old unmarried pregnant daughter. Well, I think the real problem comes from the fact that we are taking the focus off of getting to know Sarah Palin and her political views, and what she can do to make our country a less destructive place. Its distracting from the real issues, the real everyday problems that this country experiences.
I am concerned with the fact that Sarah Palin brought the attention to her daughter's pregnancy, rather than all world issues and what she believes she could possibly do to change them-if elected. I get Sarah Palin's views against abortion, but i would much prefer to hear more about what she can do for our country rather than how her daughter is going to have a child no matter what.
Maybe focus on delivering some words and policy with stronger impact like Joe Biden.

MONROE, Michigan (CNN) — Sen. Barack Obama said firmly that families are off-limits in the campaign for president, reacting to news that GOP running mate Sarah Palin's 17-year-old daughter is pregnant.
"Let me be as clear as possible," Obama said. "I think people's families are off-limits, and people's children are especially off-limits. This shouldn't be part of our politics. It has no relevance to Gov. Palin's performance as governor or her potential performance as a vice president."
Obama said reporters should "back off these kinds of stories" and noted that he was born to an 18-year-old mother.
"How a family deals with issues and teenage children, that shouldn't be the topic of our politics, and I hope that anybody who is supporting me understands that's off-limits." »
On another note-the last note- i heard a woman say on TODAY on NBC that teens are feeling as if they have to grow up faster. Really? Because, i think that girls that are CHOOSING to be sexually active and are making a conscious decision to grow up faster….. I think that parents need to recognize how important it is to talk to their children about the things that can result from being sexually active if they aren't protecting themselves (birth control, condoms, etc.)
So-those are my thoughts for the day. Enjoy the music

Umm… hello Lindsay … Sarah Palin made it public because if she didn't she would be made out to be a liar, or worse. I'm glad Sarah made her daughter's pregnancy public. I could only imagine the "real scandal" that would unfold if she tried to hide it. Get over yourselves and give her some credit for stepping up and standing by her daughter.
Star Kitten i agree on the general point of your message.yet it was only one movie that she was going late,she admited herself afterwards that she was being heavily immature.Also in every interview i have seen her give afterwards she will state how much she learned from Fonda and that she regreted what she did.The producer killed his own golden goose by publicising his letter he could have done it in private,cause if you now read the critics for Georgia Rule when it was released on DVD many praise Lindsays acting.I certainly believe she played much better that loser Gnth in that laughable movie where she got an Oscar.Have you seen Lindsay in the Movie Bobby?In all of her other movies she was very professional.When she was 18 and after she finished mean girls she was working back to back Disney was pressuring her to make movies and release a CD,and she was telling her mother she was tired,and her agent,and they wouldnt listen,she was working soince she was 7.She was admited in hospital for working so much she collapsed.And she actually stated she was happy cause she got some sleep and rest in the hospital.Come on.Give her a break.She made mistakes.She admited them.She still remains positive and suprisinly she doesnt whine and whine about it,she tries to come back ,just look at her parents.If i was in her place,i wonder if i would have been a heroin since my teens, or even tried to kill myself.Her whole life is a parent trap.

My point is, most people (that don't have children) think a good "talkin' to" is all kids need. You actually have no control over what your children do at the end of the day. She is a prime example of not listening to the advice of parents or adults. I also don't believe it's SP's fault her daughter is pregnant. You can only do so much as a parent. Then they are on their own. You know?

I agree StarKitten again but I do suggest she lived a hard life.Being a small kid witnessing your fathers abusive behaviour,your mothers drinking and you have to work to make money to live the family.Her father was wellknown drunken fixture in LI everybody knew them.He will make scenes be at fights with everybody crash cars while drunked(i guess like father like daughter).Lindsay is the oldest of her family.Then her father went to jail,bankrupt the family business.She had to pay his bills and frauds.I was watching that Laughable Relality living Lohan and i heard her grandmother saying what a professional kid Lindsay was and how controled she was going to rehearshals or work.And she was a kid.I dont excuse her behaviour she certainly knew what is right or wrong.I dont have kids,but i have 4 siblings,and we had our fair share of trouble and our parents have been happily married for 38 years but i still had my parents waiting for me in the morning after heavy drinking nights,making sure i was ok,and then telling me its time to get out of it.I believe it was time she had her rebelion,against the industry against her mother and time to write of her father too.Iam glad she doesnt work much anymore.Maybe its better for her.

I haven't heard Sarah Palin going around bringing attention to her daughter at all…..her daughter being pregnant is a fact of life and nothing she should try and hide. It is what it is….it happens to 80,000 U.S. mothers every year…..many teens are sexually active and pregnancy can result. It's not the ideal way to conceive a child and I'm sure she was plenty upset with her daughter but it's their family business. And most importantly, it's the media (and people like Perez) who want to focus on Sarah Palins hair, boobs, children, daughter's pregnancy, etc. vs. her political track record.
I'm not even so much annoyed with whatsherfaces blog had to say as I am with people acting like she has said something so terribly insightful.
I think LL might be the last person on earth that I want to hear ANYTHING political from. Do B.O. a favor and just keep quiet!

I do not agree with Lindsay or Obama on this one. Their kids should not be made fun of by the press but they shouldn't be off limits. These kids are a reflection of their parents teachings or lack there of. Can't raise your kids right, can't offer other families in America much either!

Anyway, I can see why news outlets would focus on a political candidate's personal life. How a person conducts their personal affairs can indicate how they can would conduct their business affairs as well. If she's not honest or caring in her dealings with her family then how can the public expect better from her? It's the same with a man too. For example, if they'd cheat on their wife, then how can you expect them to be honest with you? Why vote for someone to represent your interests when they've proven themselves to be dishonest and immoral?
