The AP article out today says McCain OPPOSED sex education funding, does not know if condoms prevent the spread of STDs, and voted to halt funding to assist pregnant teens unless they finish school and continue to live at home. All of this sounds extremely sexist and an attempt to keep women ignorant, pregnant and in the home. If McCain does not know that condoms prevent the spread of HIV and other STDs, he is a 10,000 year old fool.
Another disturbing aspect of this whole affair is the level of deception involved. When Palin’s family was introduced to the nation in Dayton, Ohio her daughter Bristol was holding the new baby. I found it strange that the father was not holding the baby, maybe it was an attempt to conceal Bristol’s pregnancy? Also, if the McCain campaign knew about tthe pregnancy, then why not tell the public? Why the secrets, Sarah Palin has been dishonest with us from the get go.

What's odd about this is that Sarah Palin, governor of Alaska and now the republican Vice Presidential nominee, waited until March 5th, 2008 to announce to the media that she was 7 months pregnant. Palin was 44 at the time of the announcement. While Sarah Palin did not appear pregnant in any recent photographs, pictures of the family during the time of the pregnancy have surfaced which show Bristol with what appears to be a “baby bump”.

To add to the drama surrounding this birth, Students who have attended classes with Bristol Palin at an Anchorage high school report that she had been out of school for months, claiming a prolonged case of mono. The announcement came as quite a shock to people who had worked closely with Governor Palin. Some have been quoted as saying that she did not appear pregnant whatsoever during the prior 7 months.
Adding even more fuel to the fire, the Alaska Department of State has now taken down all the photos of Sarah Palin and her family from their website. Word of the pregnancy scandal is spreading around the Internet like wildfire. According to one source, people “in the know” from Alaska are stating it is true, and that Sarah Palin hid her daughter’s pregnancy. And that the child, Trig Palin, might actually belong to her daughter, Bristol.
