To add to the drama surrounding this birth, Students who have attended classes with Bristol Palin at an Anchorage high school report that she had been out of school for months, claiming a prolonged case of mono. The announcement came as quite a shock to people who had worked closely with Governor Palin. Some have been quoted as saying that she did not appear pregnant whatsoever during the prior 7 months.

And that the child, Trig Palin, might actually belong to her daughter, Bristol.

In the past, Sarah Palin chose to deliver a speech and jet set across the country while in labor instead of checking herself into a hospital for the safety of her baby with DS.
