I thought it was good, room to grow. It should be great. The biggest complaint was that we had to go 3/4 of the way through before Brenda had a scene. WTF, she was the reason I watched!

I was truly disappointed Perez! The acting was bad and it fell short! Maybe I was just expecting close to or the same as the original!

i sensed no chemistry in the characters, but hopefully that will develop in the upcoming episodes

Great show! I would have been happy just watching Brenda and Jenni for two hours pulling hair, scratching and clawing at one another. It should have ended though with the two of them in a big lezbo scene!!!
It's not the same as the original but I can see it getting better as the weeks go on… I hope

I watched it on the East Coast. I have to be honest, I had no plans or interest in watching it, but everything else was a rerun so I thought I'd catch a few minutes of it and watched the whole thing. I think the craziest part is that now I'm the age of the parents on the show and the returning characters Brenda and Kelly. Still fun to watch the highschool kid antics. Kids just don't change much, they still act the same way. I think it was good. At least as good as what else is out there in the genre. Jennie and Shannen did a great job and I think they're handling their characters pretty well. The first episode was pretty good, lets hope they can keep it that way. I don't know if I'll follow it…..probably not……but the opening episode was fun and well done.
i won't be able to watch it till the weekend either. too busy. but i am SOO excited for it.

Unfortunately, I watched. It was soooo boring and the hype up to it was so over blown because there was NOTHING special about this piece of crap! I stopped watching after the 1st hour because it was so lame and there were better shows on. This show sucks!!!

SO.. at first i wasn't really sure if i was gonna watch the new 90210 being that im a HUGE fan of the origional and all but i gave it a chance and totally LOVED IT!
it was great cant wait until the next show next Tuesday at 9pm.

i thought it was actually really good. i was a fan of the early years of the original 90210, but i like the way they did the new one. it's more like Gossip Girl than a soap opera. i dig it. i am definitely watching it every tuesday. two thumbs up! but, omg, was kelly talking to dylan on the phone? he has got to be the baby daddy! hes just gotta! i sure hope luke perry will return.

I thought it really paid great homage to the original series without being too heavy handed… expect honestly the Brenda / Kelly part, that felt so phony to me bc of all the real life drama.
My issues with it:
There really still is, as with the original show, a lack of diversity, yes they've got a token black character as a main part of the show, but other than him & his friend from Journalism, that's about it. Umm Ive lived in L.A., and there would def be a lot more Persian & Asian people wandering around West Beverly, fo sho, A LOT MORE. Plus there would be some more blacks & hispanics too.
I was so agitated bc I didnt realize until at least an hour into the show that there were two skinny white brunette girls. After rewatching certain parts I now know who is who, (oooooooooooooh one has bangs, big difference!) but seriously if they had made one of those characters someone of color, it woulda been easier to tell & made the show a bit more diverse.
There was a lot going on for just a first episode, I thought at least one of the minor story lines could have been cut. And how come the wife is already finding out about the illegitimate child (and off screen for christ's sake), that secret could have been kept & dragged out for at least a couple episodes.
But overall those are minor issues & the drama was good. I really thought it seemed pretty damn authentic for teens. Def will be tuning in next week.
It got off to a rough start during the first 15 minutes, but I liked the rest. I'm looking forward to a great season!
there was some damn cubs game on (which i love them) but i wanted to see 90210 now i have to wait tell 10 which i have to so to school
OMG! Slow start.. But, when it picks up.. it picks UPS! Great show though.. Although, Our beloved Brenda only has like three minutes in the premiere… But, we gotta let Shanae's character get her time to shine.. BTW… Dixon is Smexy!

I watched it, but I'm reserving my opinion until I see more. I'll say this, though - it definitely didn't feel like the original 90210.
i really liked it but i feel like my opinion doesnt really count because i never watched the first 90210…
but if it was anything like the new one….i missed alot. lol.

AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL!!!! Who was the fuckin casting director? He/she should be shot! The acting was horrible and the story absolutely sucks. I don't have teenagers, but I would NEVER in a million years let them watch this show! It was really bad. It was so bad I started laughing. So bad. So bad. I was an original 90210 fan, but I absolutely hate this version. Two thumbs down for sure.

i think it's gonna get better but it was pretty good. I like how they tied in Andrea Zuckerman's daughter in the beginning reporting the news, and such a good idea for the Erin Silver character all grown up. We're gonna get some serious Kelly and her alcoholic mommy battles so reminiscent of the original. Seemed like a good balance of old & new…hopefully more Brenda though
I thought it was overall charming. I felt like they crammed too much into one episode though, and found it all over all confusing at times. If they keep on the path of "too many story lines" I think the show will lose it's charm swiftly.

It was fun but the women are waaaaay to skinny. Not good role models for young women. btw, loved seeing the guy from HBO's The Wire as the son! Nice surprise. He is sooo cute! Great seeing him in a nice guy role.

I'm so old. I remember watching the original 90210 and thinking to myself "Gaawd….why do the parents (Cindy and Jim) even have to have scenes….they're so booooring!" Well, today I realized I'm old - ’cause the only parts i found entertaining were the scenes with the parents, Brenda and Kelly……next stop "hey kids, get off my lawn!" Oh well!
It actually wasn't a bad show at all but, like everyone else, I like Gossip Girls better…it is way more scandalous.
