um, it may take a few more episodes for me to really get into this…the first half was terrible, but what do you expect in setting up a story line. the second part was a lot better…nothing like the original, but ok.
GOSSIP GIRL IS A BETTER SHOW BY FAR!!!
being an original fan…i had VERY low expectations….guess that's why– i loved it!
with very few minor exceptions…
and i loved jennie in it, loved the zuckermn joke, loved the girl playing silver, who is in reaper too, and loved the girl playing annie, who is in degrassi…which i also LOVE!
(no i am not 12, i am a sad 25 year old who loves high school drama shows!)

but we'll see I'm sure they will go totally different ways in the next few episodes

It was kind of slow, and boring, but I'm sure the season will be drama filled.
Best thing about it, hands down? JESSICA WALTER as the Grandma. LUCILLE BLUTH LIVES! She's exactly like she was on Arrested Development, which is to say, she's AWESOME. Love her.

What was up with the Spring Awakening "Mamma Who Bore Me (Reprise)? That was so not their voices singing. I know that they saw the show in New York but air them rehearsing it for school? They are just bringing down broadway!

OK…… the new show doesn't compare to the old one, seriously. I was really disappointed. I think a lot of us want to see the old characters back… shit, that was the best part!!! I will watch to see who is the father of Kelly's baby. There tried to throw a curve ball with Brandon calling at 3am from Belize….. uhh huh.

And also, fifty points for Shanae grimes. Anyone EVER in Degrassi is alright with me. I like that they're doing the same thing with 90210 that they did with Degrassi…right down to original characters reprising their roles.

the first hour was painful, almost turned it off but i had to give it a chance. the annie and naomi characters are not glamorous enough, the best part is to be envious of the "gorgeous popular girls" and you just don't get it with them. plus the singing thing was CORNY BULLSHIT. the dramatic parts just didn't have enough suspense and most of it was a real let down. but it did get slightly better later on and i think the adopted kid and the grandma are fun to watch.

I loved it! It was fast paced and well written. I'll definitely watch it again. It was great to see Jennie & Shannon too. And Nat at the peach pit. Brings back memories of watching this as a teen.

Did the character of Annie ever get reprimanded for going to the party without permission? I don't remember that being addressed. She got in trouble for the date to San Fran, but completely nothing about the party.
Also, was the Grandma drunk driving? What's up with her car accident? Totally glossed over.
The show was pretty good, but some of the acting was horrible. Especially "Naomi". She makes Tori Spelling look Oscar-worthy.
Come on people. There is no way Sarah Palin delivered Trig. That is simply impossible. Show the birth certificate!!
I do not care that Bristol is "supposedly" pregnant right now. Sarah Palin DID NOT deliver Trig. People should stop believing the photoshop images of Sarah. They are a joke. This is a massive Republican cover-up. Whose baby is Trig?

I didn't think I was going to like it, but I did!! I only watched to see Brenda and Kelly and I wish the writers gave them more scenes! I was sooo happy to see Nat! I am confused that Andrea's daughter Hannah is on the show, but Andrea is not. I hope to see more original characters with more scenes in the upcoming episodes!!! Can't wait to hear what you think Perez!!!!

Yes I watch. Not as good as the first 90210. But I think it will get better…Loved Jennie she was the whole reason I watched for Kelly Taylor. Dylan has to be the dad…..
Overall, I think it was good,and will get better I am going to keep watching and hope they have lots of more senses with Jennie

So..we all know that they couldn't touch the orginal. That is obvious. However growing up watching 90210 I couldn't help but get excited. I like how some of the characters are children of the orginal cast. And that Kelly and Brenda are back. Being a huge fan of the orginal, I hope more orginal characters do come back. I enjoyed the new one, but it made me feel old, lol. Seeing what a difference between the old and the new. I'm only 24! The actresses playing the roles of 15 year olds, don't look like any 15 year olds I know!
I'm excited that the peach pit is still "there", but it just goes to show how much time has changed. The old show, that was the place to be, the new show the kids complain about being stuck drinking coffee at the pit all night.
Anyway, I still enjoyed it and will keep watching, in the meantime keeping my fingers crossed for a reunion of the orginal cast. Hey if they can work together on the new one, no reason they can't make us happy and do some kind of tv special, where they are now. lol

I think it was really good, i am really liken the whole show.
they need a more diverse cast. i mean c'mon cali has people of every race living here and this show should try to take advantage of that. i really dislike these shows that are supposed to be based on "real" high schools and the students who attend them. these shows are nothing like "real" high schools and the kids who go there. real high schools in Beverly Hills have students of every race but this show doesnt show the extent of that, they would get more veiwers if they had a cast that appealed to every race.

decent acting, interesting characters but the writing is awful and the storyline so predictable! the actors sound so one-dimensional, and seemed like they didn't have any substance to work with because of the bad script.

Damn Cubs game! Its 11:00 and I still have to wait till it's over then the Chicago news and then finally. Am I gonna be able to stay awake that late? So excited to see Brenda. Not sure if this show will be able to top Gossip Girl though.
can't compare to the original, but i did like Erin Silver (David and kelly's little sis) and Hannah Zuckerman-Vasquez! I had very low expectations though. Room for improvement.
OMG….LOVED IT!!! Wanted to see Brenda more. I waited 14yrs for Brenda Walsh to come home…and it was worth it!! Thanks Perez but I want my credit on that too!! Can't wait for next week…Jackie Taylor is back!!

I forgot. I wanted to watch it for a few minutes but I forgot. I was busy doing laundry and playing WoW. Yeah, I think WoW is more entertaining than watching T.V. for the most part.
Summer T.V. sucks anyhow, stewart and colbert aren't on til 11pm and then AdultSwim has cartoons, but other than that there's nothing to watch during the day.

as a hugeee fan of the original.. HATED IT– me and my friends all turned to each other and said what the hell are they gonna do with all the other episodes? In the first episode they covered everything from drugs, biracial relationships, cheating, sex, adultery, alcoholism, betrayal, etc etc etc… I think all they have left to cover is homosexuality and teen pregnancy which they can do in about 5 minutes of the next episode. Way to much happened I cant even remember it all. The most reliving and enjoyable parts was watching the akwardness between jenny and shannon.. yea it was a boring but u needed a minute for nothing to be going on and letting ur brain react to what u just saw.. Granted times have changed since the original started but that was just to much of an exaggeration and way to much to handle…

okay, 20 minutes into it, i wanted to change the channel, i'm not impressed. but, my boyfriend insisted on watching the rest. it's still on, but i'm here, browsing, because i don't care to watch the rest of it.
by the way, the girls on this show need to EAT SOME FOOD. it's really sad that teenage girls are going to look up to these anorexic looking characters. doh!

I love love love the original. I was happily surprised to see Nat!! and the other shots of "the pit". I think the 'boring' factor was due to all the foreshadowing for the rest of the season. If so, EXCITING!! Is Dylan Kelly's baby-daddy? Is Brandon going to show? Brenda is going to "be in town for a while" ? One thing… why are all the girls anorexic? I mean seriously, there's skinny, and THEN there's organs being visible through skin. The bang/actress/blogger was hot, while Naomi's cute and looks semi-natural (for being the 2008 kelly taylor i'm guessing?) but not every single girl needs to have a skull that isn't in proportion to the rest of her body.

i watched the show and honestly it was a waste of time.
too much hype and it didn't deliver. silver is STUNNING. and i love naomi from nip/tuck. shenae's acting sucked and i don't think she should have been picked to be the main character. the guys were delicious but overall gossip girl is so much better than 90210. it's been done. now leave it alone.

First of all, I'm so glad to see my girl crush Annalynne McCord (Naomi) back on TV after Nip/Tuck. I've never been into girls but I'd totally do her! Second of all, this show was a lot better than I thought it would be. Cheesy? Yes. But so was the original. Doesn't anyone remember when Color Me Badd serenaded Donna at the Peach Pit? I saw that episode over the weekend and it totally embarrassed me that I watched the whole series (don't get me wrong — I loved every minute of it!). By the way, did everyone catch the Hannah Zuckerman-Vasquez moment? See — our Andrea is still kinda there! I'll probably keep up with the show if for no other reason than to see who the father of Kelly's son is — I'm banking on Steve!
I liked it but i am SO sick of 20 year-olds playing 15 year olds. It is sooo weird. I did like the music it was pretty awesome. Mr. Wilson=H.O.T. Seriously. I f i had that teacher i would pay attention more often in class. "Annie" is actually pretty good and looks her age. Her breakup very predictable though. "Ty Collins" also very hot and maybe the next Luke Perry? I also like Jennie Garth on the show she is awesome in it. "Naomi" should NEVER get mad again it was pretty funny though. I also have to agree with a past comment, what happened to her grounding? Of course they have to create a love triangle. What cheesy teenage sitcom does not have a love triangle. But that is what we all get hooked on who are they going to chose. I think this is going to be the new up and coming show maybe a close running mate with gossip girl. They do already have a gossip girl wannabe website on the show. We just have to see what is going to happen in the coming episodes.
i dont think it completely matched up to all the hype that was made about the show. i mean, here in ther area that i watched the premiere, the sound wasnt working until about 5-10 minutes into the first hour!

I enjoyed it. LOVED Jennie Garth on it. Her chararcter still works very well within the show and I hope she will remain a staple on it, if not I might just have 2 stop watching. Overall it was entertaining but the best moments were with the old cast members and the ones related to the old characters. The next episode looks like it will be good…can't wait to see Kelly and her mom together again. I wish that Gossip Girl and 90210 would be on the same night…that would be a powerful combo!
