I think posting politics on gum wrappers or snapple-tops is fine - people need to take a more active interest in what's making their lives tick. Perez, I have to agree with all your comments. I believe that it is a common feature of both the Australian and American constitutions that each individual is allowed free speech. Therefore, you are simply promulgating your own views regarding the election and the electoral candidates.
It is also particularly interesting for an overseas visitor to see how the American public itself is perceiving the election, rather than a lot of the bland, idealised crap that is fed to us through the news. So thanks Perez! xxx

Well said Missy!!! I thought her speech was AWESOME~!! I went into it not knowing what to expect at all. After seeing her in action, I was blown away by her confidence and her ability to communicate, on top of being a relatable experienced voice of the people. I was very impressed. I am now in the midst of researching her career. I have one of those myself so I need more time to know more about her track record.

You have a very good point. If you don't like what he has on his site, scroll down and ignore it. I think it is good that Perez is covering both sides. But, one thing I would say is I believe the candidates daughters/children are OFF LIMITS. Leave them alone. They won't be the ones running the country, etc.
While i don't agree w/ McCain and Palin about a few issue I am going to vote for them. My views on defense, the iraq war, etc, mirror that of McCain and Palin. For right now, in this time, that is what is important to me. The defense of our country. Re: bellaa – I am not a republican and some of the items posted still bother me. When it comes to politics all info should be verified so that no one is misinformed. If we truly want change it has to start with thw voters. Making generalizations about either candidate or their supporters doesn't help anyone. Gossip is rarely harmful to celebrities, any press is better than no press at all for them. Who runs our country is obviously much more important to all of us and we should not be intentionally mislead just for one to promote their own view, we need to educate not alienate voters. Leave the name calling to the candidates, those type of posts do not help either party in validating their plans for our country or the voters in coming to an educated decision on which candidate would benefit the population the most.

Perez, I am with you 100% on this subject. If people don't like something they see on here they need to be responsible for censoring themselves instead of attempted to censor you on your site. I was also a huge Hillary Clinton supporter and was unsure what I was going to do once she was out. I was incredibly moved by what I saw of Barrack Obama during his convention speech and will now be supporting him. I think you have every right to put out information on any of the candidates given the office they are seeking. They have chosen to put themselves out there for us to dissect and determine who is worthy of the position.
Thanks for standing up for your 1st amendment rights. I appreciate the coverage, even though I am fairly well informed via other sources. The overwhelming thing that I cannot stand about the Republicans is their insisting on interference. Why do they care if a woman gets an abortion? Why do they care if gays want to get married? It doesn't affect them directly. Why don't they want to give/teach their 17 year old daughters about CONDOMS OR BIRTH CONTROL???????? (Maybe Bristol also got herpes! more common than pregnancy!) They claim it is because of religion, but this country is supposed to have freedom of and freedom FROM religion! How is religious people's bigotry and interference in the lives of people they don't even know becoming so common place? It is OK to question your government in the USA. Let's start doing that.
