Perez, you should be on Meet The Press.

Fabulous commentary. Makes me want to run out a buy a Hello Kitty pillow. *grin*

Seriously, the dumbasses who are trying to argue you (or anyone else) out of their politics aren't smart enough to know that it's a no-win conversation. We all have our beliefs and we all have a right to them and if someone doesn't like what you're saying, then they can go get their own damn blog.

But, first, they should go buy Bristol Palin a baby shower gift…wait, or is it a wedding gift. Which came first, the baby or the wedding? Oh, that's right, the ethics investigation came first. Whew, good thing we got that straight.

  2. 302

OK I was very interested in hearing your comments on why you wish to continue writing about politicians.I agree that all people should have the right to write what they want. What I fail to understand is WHY you feel calling someone a whore and slut is informing them and helping people to discuss their political views! I am assuming you have never met Bristol Palin, if so, why would you use those words? Do you know for a fact that Bristol has slept with people for money? If you do, please, elaborate on this fact.
How would you feel, if someone wrote on the Internet that your mother was a WHORE? Maybe you can say, it's water off a duck's back but it can also perpetuate narrow mindedness.Calling people names and labeling them is not informed or educational.
You seem to want honesty and then when someone admits to smoking pot, you call them a stoner. Does one drink make you an alcoholic?
By all means keep the political discourse going but re read the comments from Sein321, nicndaisy, jefdo, xtremover and tom993 before you make your next video blog.

  3. 303

Hey Perez! I like your zebra wallpaper! But yeah this video was funny and you're correct this is PEREZHILTON.COM, do what you want dude ^.^ Politics wise I mean…when it comes to Heidi & Spencer…we can just never see them again, that'd be good!

So I dont really care what anyone else thinks about what someone else thinks, thats bull.

YOU HAVE AN OPINION AND EVEN IF I DONT AGREE ITS STILL VALID!

    I RESPECT YOUR IDEAS.

  20. 320

Perez, first of all you look fab! I know you are a democrat and I think it's awesome you are giving equal coverage when you don't have to do that. People who read the site should know you are just reporting what is already in the media, even if it isn't all celebrity fluff.

  21. 321

i just have to say that it is great that you are expressing your opinions. everyone is entitled to have their own say. i thought there was this right of freedom of speech? so continue saying what you have to say because i loveeee it and couldnt agree with you more. other people can suck it!

  27. 327

people are such drama queens! the master p you are looking GOOD! thanks for the inspiration!

  28. 328

Bravo Perez! What is not important is that we agree on every issue, but that we can at the very least form and have a dialogue about the issues that we agree/disagree on and that effect us as human beings and individuals.

P.S.- You're looking incredible Perez! Keep up the good work!

  29. 329

the conservatives in the usa are as backwards as the taliban!

  30. 330

  31. Bdub says – reply to this

    331

You are NOT sharing. To say that you are doing so is a GROSS overstatement. You are not unbiased or even toned in your "coverage". You have been and continue to be divisive and inflammatory. While I do agree that it is your right as an American to speak your mind, it is also your responsibility as someone who is in position of reaching many people to try to be even handed and intelligent with your "impordant" blogging.

  32. 332

Oh GAG! If some of you were any further up Perez's ass you'd be coming out his nostrils. Think for yourselves! Go to a legitimate news site and form your own opinions, don't just parrot Perez's. He's a one-issue blogger.

    333

UM..lol he picked a woman who has been governor for less than 2 year as the person to take over the Presidency if need be. She is a joke, everyone knows it. If Hillary Clinton was running for president with 5 kids, one of then with downs syndrome and another one pregnant at 17 - every friggen right wing fox news closeted gay ball and Elizabitch Hasselfcuk would all be raggin on her…"she should be home, I question her morals, I question her parenting if her daughter is pregnant." SO what she is getting married…that is the right thing to do within her beliefs….where was she as a parent before that?? She was out bozing it up at 17 (last time I checked you had to be 21 to drink) and having unprotected sex. Is that who you want to be a leader of the free world?

  34. 334

While I totally disagree with your politics, I totally agree with your response. Freedom of speech rocks.

  37. 337

The Daily Show is brilliant tonight! Fucking funny and sharp!

  38. 338

YOU TOTALLY ROCK PEREZ - LOVE YOUR WORK! GO BARACK OBAMA

  39. 339

Freedom of speech, baby. By speaking up politically, no matter how you put it, you may be even influencing people to vote which is so important.

Palin disgusts me. I watched her speech and she just oozed this despicable attitude that all of a sudden she's an advocate for disabled children. Her son is only months old. Seeing as her running mate is deemed the worst senator for children by the Children’s Defense Fund. That I find that highly disturbing.

    Keep on blogging, Perez.

  40. 340

Something to think about/discuss? How about you being judgemental on someone else's sexual behavior by attacking Bristol? If I have it right, you don't like being segregated by your sexual behavior.

  41. 341

I'm so glad to see that you finally made a video about this, Perez. Many may argue that you're not providing enough celebrity gossip, but since Gov. Palin's life is comparable to a bad soap opera, she deserves to be front and center on your wall of fame! Besides, thanks to our constitution, you have freedom of speech… And we all know that Republicans will do whatever they can to get that taken away.

    OBAMA-BIDEN '08

  45. 345

I'm an Alaskan citizen. Palin has enhanced my family income this year by $15,000.00. She single handedly passed a law that hands each Alaskan $1,200.00 for energy relief. In addition to the Permant Fund Dividend of about $2,100.00 for every citizen, my family will get a huge check to pay off our bills, plus put money away for our kids' college education. I'll bet you wish you were a citizen of Alaska.

  46. 346

Preach on sista! Regardless of the reasons people come here, they should never try to escape an election that WILL determine their future.

  47. 347

i totally agree with u perez, some of these people seem to forgotten that ur a blogger and that u say what ever the fuck u wanna say. it gives u more reason to talk about it. i love reading everything u have on ur page. it brings diversity to your page and not the same celebrity gossip, don't get me wrong i love it but having different shit to read about is great! so to hell for people who are idiots and complain about ur opinion on politics! keep doing u homeboy!

  52. 352

Perez, I listened to your little video here and I think you are doing a great job. Don't worry about what people say. Some people are so controlling, they get all mad if someone has a view different than theirs. It's really quite immature. I for one am glad I live in a country where everyone is allowed to speak freely. Also, your blog is so much more readable than infantile TMZ, with their pathetic pictures of celebrity body parts and 5th grade humor. You are so much more insightful, and I love the scribbled on cocks and dripping cum. You're one of a kind, lol. Keep up the good work and you look fabulous lately, dahling.

  53. 353

Here's a new one that I just LOVE: To quote Will Ferrell in Zoolander, "Doesn't anybody notice this? I FEEL LIKE I'M TAKING CRAZY PILLS!" As part of her executive experience that the McCain campaign so highly promotes, Sarah Palin requested millions in earmarks from Congress. Three of them, totaling nearly $2 million, were classified as "objectionable pork" by…. John McCain. This year, Palin, who has been governor for nearly 22 months, defended earmarking as a vital part of the legislative system. "The federal budget, in its various manifestations, is incredibly important to us, and congressional earmarks are one aspect of this relationship," she wrote in a newspaper column. In 2001, McCain's list of spending that had been approved without the normal budget scrutiny included a $500,000 earmark for a public transportation project in Wasilla. The Arizona senator targeted $1 million in a 2002 spending bill for an emergency communications center in town-one that local law enforcement has said is redundant and creates confusion. McCain also criticized $450,000 set aside for an agricultural processing facility in Wasilla that was requested during Palin's tenure as mayor and cleared Congress soon after she left office in 2002. The funding was provided to help direct locally grown produce to schools, prisons and other government institutions, according to Taxpayers for Common Sense, a nonpartisan watchdog group.

  55. 355

I'm glad you posted this, Mr Hilton, because I had no idea…As a Canadian who reads your site daily, it was clear to me that Hilary was your fave - and clear that the Palin coverage was coming hot and heavy because it was fresh, relevant news; that the revelations were unflattering is thanks only to Palin herself. Keep reaching people; this is important stuff.

  56. 356

    get it bitch!
i will continue to read ur blog despite the funny things you say about McCain/Palin ;]

  57. 357

Re: queenlizzie – that's completely over the top out of control spending. no offense to you personally, but that cash could be pumping directly into our economy instead of giving a big pay day to the 10 people who live up there. ABSURD!!!

    358

Here's some information that people don't know about: Both McCain and Obama have the same policies on same-sex marriage . . . both only support CIVIL UNIONS. They both want rights for gays, but they don't want to call it "marriage".

  59. 359

Perez you are so fucking amazing and I agree with you completely!!!! And you are looking fabulous, might I add!!!!

I'm a Democrat. I watched the Democratic convention and I watched Sarah Palin's speech @ the RNC. How is it that She is able to convincingly tell people that the Democratic candidate (why didnt she ever say Obamas name?) will raise taxes and cause more expenditures for the middle class, just as convincingly as Obama does?

It's like both parties are accusing each other of the exact same thing…the thing the economy/tax issue that they know is most important to voters as it directly effects their lives.

All I know is I looked around the rebublican audience and everyone looked sensible, and had the same kind of facial expression, and were dressed nicely…like pod people. And I'm sure there was diversity there but the cameras only scanned the white people. Republicans arent as bad as Bush this year but I'm still voting Obama.

  61. 361

    Politics=good.

  70. 370

Keep up the fabulous work !! You are doing fine with your coverage of Palin's dirt. She completely undeserving of the political attention that she is getting. I shudder to think that another 8 years of republican administration will lead to the downfall of this country. Talk about a closed door policy like China. We're headed in that direction if we send another simple insular republican into the office !

  71. 371

Thank you for using your website as a means of getting the scandal and drama out there, even if it is political. people are afraid of scandal, people are afraid of whats real. You are correct in presenting the REAL scandals of this election, and just because Palin is a woman, does not give her a special pass to stay out of the public eye. It is a real ISSUE that her daughter is pregnant, and it was a real ISSUE when Barack went under fire for his reverends comments! Keep on keepin on PEREZ!

  72. 372

    amen perez!

    Looking Great Perez!!!!!!!

    I think it's cute that your mom's a Republican!

Oh, but your videos of yourself are WAY too long. I say this with the utmost love and respect. I have yet to get through more than about 30 seconds without stopping it. Less is more. ;)

  75. 375

    I think it's cute that your mom's a Republican!

Oh, but your videos of yourself are WAY too long. I say this with the utmost love and respect. I have yet to get through more than about 30 seconds without stopping it. Less is more, my friend. ;)

  76. 376

Perez I think your great for posting the political stuff too! I think young Americans need to become way more involved and aware of what's going on with our government. If we continue to focus on celebrities, and reality TV our country is going to continue it's downward slide and the next thing we know we will no longer be the prosperous power house we once were.

  77. 377

Good for you Perez for not letting others keep you from sharing news in politics or even your thoughts about whats going on! I seriously hate it when people know more about whats going on with Britney or Lindsay and not enough about whats going on in this country's government. It just sounds like they are expanding their ignorance by focusing so much energy on that stuff. Dont get me wrong. Indulging in celebrity gossip is fun, but it shouldn't keep you from still knowing whats going on. :)

  78. 378

It's true that Obama plans to support the 95% of American and support the health care plan for every American. However, how is he going to pay for that? Are we going to pay for it by raising taxes from the business or are we going to pay for it by borrowing more from China, Europeans, and other countries? Both of these strategies are proven to be bad. Raising more tax will only cause business to shift more jobs oversea. One of the reason that businesses have shifted jobs oversea is to reduce cost. They can hire a Ph.D engineer for 1/5 of what they pay in the U.S. Also, Singapore, Dubai, China, and Vietnam, and many other countries are also eager to give these business tax breaks if they bring the jobs there.

  79. 379

It happens here in the U.S. We hear it all the time. Boeing moves their headquarter to Illinois because of the big state tax break they receive. The Domain shoppping center at Austin was built because of the big sales tax from the city. Dell decides to have a headquarter in Round Rock instead of Austin because of the tax break from the Williamson County. Albany becomes another tech hub because of the tax break. Cities and counties in America compete with each other to bring businesses to their regions by giving tax breaks to businesses. When businesses comes to their regions, the businesses also bring along jobs and real incomes that can be spent within the regions. Jobs and real incomes create prosperity. So if Obama increases taxes on businesses in order for him to lower taxes on middle income people, then he will cause more jobs being shifted oversea. So in order for him to keep his promises (which is making healthcare more affordable), then he needs to borrow from other countries and place our nation at the mercy of other countries. If anyone else has a different perspective on this, then let me know.

  80. 380

As for John McCain and Palin, I was indifferent between Obama and McCain in the beginning. However, I was shocked at his choice for the VP and I paid more attention to the election and this is the first time ever I do it. One thing I like about McCain and Palin is that they understand the concept that we need to control our spending. About five years ago, my family's household income was $42k for 5 people. My mom was a stay-at-home mom and only my stepdad worked. We had a house and we had two cars. However, we never went out to eat. When school came, my mom only bought me what I really needed. I didn't have fancy bookbags or top of the line clothes. We tried to save every penny we had, and we only spent what was necessary. However, we currently have Hollywood stars who make millions and millions during their lifetimes, and yet they still are bankrupt and don't have a place to live. The point is that we only spent what we had, not more than what we didn't have. We tried to save every penny because it accumulated over time. If we didn't have the income for it, then we simply just wouldn't buy it unless it is absolutely necessary.

  81. Hmmmm says – reply to this

    381

I find it so sad that you are going to base who you chose as the next President of the United States on whether or not they support gay rights. That is not what our country was built on, nor should it be how we run our country, based on gay rights. I believe 100% that gay people should be treated equally, they put their pants on one leg at a time, just like I do, but for you to be so simple minded and say "John McCain doesn't want me to have the same rights as heterosexual citizens" is just plain stupid Perez!! Shame on you. That's what people have had a butt load about.

  82. 382

Both McCain and Palin understand that we need to save. Take McCain for example, he understands that our main problem is that we are giving $700 billion to foreign country for oils, and that's the main cause for deficit. As unpleasant as it sounds when we need to drill Alaska or offshore, we have two choices–choice 1: reduce our use in energy (which is impossible) and choice 2: we have to drill. If we don't drill, then we will keep giving that $700 billion away and have more imports than exports. McCain understands that our country doesn't have enough money to cover all the spendings that the government has, and so we need to cut out unnecessary expenses or projects (i.e. spending money to study the DNA of the bear).

  83. 383

I'm not saying that it is not important to study the DNA of the the bear, it may lead us to an important discovery in science. However, will this study result into an immediate reward? If it is not, then it may be wise for us to use the money in something that has immediate needs. We'll study the DNA of the bear when we have a surplus in the budget. There are a lot of things that require our committment, but we as a nation needs to decide what is more important. Our budget is limited, and we can't afford to buy/fund everything. That is McCain's policy, drill oil and keep the $700 billion in the U.S. Cut unnecessary spending. Promote job growth by encouraging business to stay in the U.S. by lowering tax, and promote significant job growth in the energy industry (by new drills and renewable energy).

  84. 384

As for Palin, I like her because she understands the concept of saving every little penny for the government. The Democrats may laugh at her idea of putting the luxury jet on eBay for sale, but they don't understand the concept of saving every little penny and spending within the budget. We are so used of spending above our mean and waiting for the government to help us through welfares and free money. Palin understands that in a budget crisis, there is no need for a jet or a governor cook and so she cuts those expenses to save the taxpayer's money. She's pro-drill because she knows it will improve Alaska's economy. Unless the Alaskan there don't want a prosperous economy within their state and stay true to nature, then they don't vote for it. We love nature, but we also love a comfortable life. And she understands the hardship of the people within her state when oil price goes up, she gives them the rebate checks. If she didn't save any penny that she was able to save and if she didn't control her state's budget (and went out to spend on anything that she could find an excuse), then the people in Alaska wouldn't receive that paycheck. Although it was an energy rebate check, the Alaskan actually can use it for anything they need.

  85. 385

With everything that I already said, I think the only important thing is how we can control our spending in Iraq. We invested so heavily in it, and now we need to find a way to cut out spending there while still not losing everything that we invest. It's tough and I have no idea how either McCain or Obama do that. I mean we can withdraw our troops anytime, but then we will leave a fragile country for Iran to take control, and we'll be back to where we started in the beginning of the Iraq war. All the bloods that we lost and the monies that we spent will go to waste when Iran takes control.

  86. 386

DON'T COMPLAIN IF YOU DON'T VOTE!!!

I don't agree with both McCain and Palin on the abortion and gay marriage issues. However, both McCain and Palin asks for equal rights for gay couples, and that is important. Seriously, nowaday, do we see a lot of people getting married? or people just get married and then get divorce within days. It's common for people to live together and so marriage is not being taken as serious as it is used to be. What is important is that two people love each other and their hearts belong together. The marriage license is just a piece of paper. What is at stake is our economy. Gay marriages and abortion rights are important but they will not lift every American out of the hardships we're facing right now (and don't depend on the government to help you. The government can only do so much, and it is entirely up to you to pull yourself out of the situation you're in).

DEMOCRACY IS NOT A SPECTATOR SPORT!

To change a constitution law, we need about 2/3 votes (I think) of the senate, and that would not happen until Congress is filled with new generation. However, both Palin and McCain can't reverse what's already the law of the U.S (for abortion rights) unless they can overcome the Congress and the Judicial System. Remember, we can always kick them out of the White House after four years if they turn out to be too extreme conservative. Also, we learned the lesson from Bush by letting one party controlled both the executive and legistative systems and so they can pass any laws they want. It was prosperous during Clinton years because the executive branch was Democrat while the legistatlve branch was Republican. I personally think it is dangerous to let one party control both branches…and that is my take on this election.

There is no reason why your coverage on your website should not be biased. The same readers who are up in arms here are the same ones who base their opinions on Fox news and pretend that it is fair and biased, yeah right.

Re: CriticXtreme – Get real, do the math. There is NO way that the youngest child is Bristol's. It is physically impossible for Trig to be anyone but Sarah's child. It's the liberal media that is spouting off the fake scandal.

    BTW, it's "imporTant" not "imporDant."
