Sarah Palin's Big Moment
Filed under: Sarah PalinSo, how did she do????
Click here to watch Sarah Palin's speech at the Republican National Convention on Wednesday night.
Thoughts???????
P.S. We think she did an amazing job.
Very impressed!
Having said that, we still disagree with many many of her positions.
It's gonna take more than a good speech!

More than a good speech? This is what you have based your support of Obama on, stupid! He has done nothing, and his vp nom has done even less! This woman has not only talked the talk, she has walked the walk. She knows how to do it, and has proven shen can follow through with her word…..which, by the way, stands for a lot more than Obama's word….as, his stance on EVERYTHNG is constantly waivering. For you to say something so stupid, it really makes it apparent how the democrats do not care about action….a bunch of dreamers, listening to a man that has said something at one time that they believe applied to them; yet, means nothing to him but a vote. She has passion for her views, and with McCain's spirit to back her….well, Obama and Biden are over. I was enthralled by her….and Giuliani! Now that speech, why don't you have that one up? As far as confronting Biden…lol, you can count on that fool (as usual) putting his foot in his mouth. He is not only a hot head, but admittedly lies when he gets angry. The problem is that the liberals never listen hear it as lies, they just see a drinking buddy. So, you have a cokehead and a drinking buddy, with no experience and big mouths……that is all they have to offer, words, and most of them are lies…….
Re: frog kisser –
You're so right comrade! Being a mayor and Governor in Alaska may give her more executive experince that Obama but Alaska is still like Biden's Delaware.
Now I know for sure why I am not voting Republican. If McCain dies (since he's older than the earth its possible) She will be our President. I am a woman but would not vote for her!
no shit. all republicans and conservatives in general do is LIE.
did she manage to explain to us HOW abstinence only is so effective, with her 17-year old pregnant daughter behind her? how can she raise daughters, and not care that they'll never have full equality to men if the gop stays in the white house?
Blah, blah, blah! Yes, she's a good speaker…but did she make a good speech? NO! She spent her time slammin' Obama. Rise above that and start talking about what you'll do for the country!! Everyone is talking about experience, YES…experience is good….Kennedy was also new to the political arena and he was one of the greatest presidents.
OBAMA! GO! GO! GO!
CNN SAID THAT 95% OF WHAT SHE SAID WAS A LIE!!!

Re: JET – I agree with you 100%…I was thinking about voting Obama not to long ago….Lets just say that last night I now know that I made the right choice joining MCCAIN and will now be voting MCCAIN 09.
Palin is wrong for American women. She slept her way to the top with an Eskimo for chissake. She showed cowardice and stupidity by being unable to abort a defenseless little "baby" monster like Trig. How the hell is she going to stand up against grown-ups if she can't even stand up to the utterly weak and powerless? Susan B. Anthony, at least fought for women's vote even though she was not feminist enough to fight for abortion. Palin is more accomplished than Obama, but at least Obama would protect our human right to abort "babies", which should have absolutely no human right whatsoever.
oh, and awesome. if by some magical stroke of fate, the gop wins, and maccain croaks and palin's in charge, well, we can rest assured that she can handle it. after all, she was in charge of 8000 people in alaska. 8000's a lot like 300 million, isn't it?
and she's not afraid to take on the establishment. that's right, folks, she singlehandedly took down a police station in alaska.
I'll trust her with my country and foreign affairs.
RIGHT. if they win, we're so fucked.
I thought she did an amazing job. The point of her speech was to introduce herself and to accept the nomination. So sad that so many people on here do not know the true role of the VP. SIGhhhh… why am I NOT surprised. Her issues and values are inline with JMCs. I checked into her track record alittle bit and so far it's stellar in keeping with getting stuff done she's promised. I too do have a few problems with some of her policy stances. It will take more than one speech, but it was one kick ass start.
Re: JT – Yeah, and when McCain (no e at the end) dies, you get someone with equally less experience. At least Obama chose someone with over 30 years of experience to back him up.
Do you think before you type? What a hypocrite.
I think that all her lil jabs @ obama were funny, but i dont agree with her or Mcains ideas for running this country. she has a daughter who was a pregnant teen so how can she manage to run a country god forbid something happen to Mcain {which i hope doesnt win}
Awesome in every respect!!!
Welcome to the white house!
McCain / Palin 2008
Re: Mayumi – Once again women like you make me so mad…You are saying a mother of 5 slept her way where??? So sick. You need to take a look in the mirror. Anytime a women calls another women "bad names" it is usually because they are not to happy with the choices they have made in there own life. So I think you need to get the rock out of your own eye before you cast the first stone.
Re: MiamiDolphinLover – What are you talking about? Sarah's waer broke, with Trig, when she was actually at a convention! I n a public forum…she flew home, as her cervix wasn't dialating. The enduced her and primed her cervix, thus sending her into full labor….this was reported in the media. As for Bristol having this child, in April, and being 5 months along right now…well, it doesn't take a genius to figure that one is impossible. you liberals and your crazy propaganda stories….it is so sad and desperate.
I am so sick of this bitch. This site is for celebs. Fuck the politics.
I just cannot believe what I am reading. Most of these posts are saying how Palin hit it out of the ballpark! Was I listening to the same speech as everyone else?!?! I thought she sucked. She read her notes OK, but Please…!!! She was bitchy, snide and she she pointed her finger and shook it at the audience, I felt like a little kid being "corrected" by the nuns in elementary school! All the republicans know how to do is smaer the democrats…They can't talk about their 'plans' becuase they have none. Hell, I served on a PTA, too…am I qualified to be the country's VP!? She m,akes me so sick. I would NEVER vote with her on the ticket and it scares the hell out of me that she could be a heartbeat away from being the leader of the free world. God help us.
Re: hot_momma_of_6 – When Clinton was in, you guys had a WAY better country? You guys? Yet another Obama supporter that can never vote in an American election, the election results are starting to write themselves. LOL.
Palin's delivery of that speech was the most sarcastic, conceited, obnoxious presentation very unprofessional, she proved today she is not fit for duty. She is an empty skirt.
Mr. Perez,
I am really impressed you're being a big boy and admitting, even though you do not agree, that she did a good job.
I don't expect you to quit being an ass to all republicans, but hey, one time you didn't sound like a hate-filled jackass, pretty good.
I just watched the speech and WOW!! She was great! I gotta give it to her, she can read a teleprompter like no one I've ever seen before. The things she said sounds exactly like what the McCain spokespeople have been saying for weeks.
she did amazing! this speech was meant for people to get to know her and for her to tell about her qualifications and why we should pick mccain as pres. and i wouldnt necessarily say she dissed obama because what she said was the truth. he has said countless of times that he has more executive experience than her when in fact he has not. she called him out on his misconceptions about himself and she did it brilliantly! McCain/Palin '08!! I cant wait for her to wipe the floor with ol' Biden in Octobers debate! Also, Guiliani did awesome last night too!! This RNC is absolutely fabulous!
are you kidding me? What was she talking about?? all about herself and John McCain? Honestly , Open your eyes and clean your ears. Look and listen carefully, is that what American really need? Someone who doesn't know anything at all about the country except spend the whole time in the convention talk about herself????? Are you kidding me or all of you want to follow her as a joke??
Watching the Republican Convention made me SOO glad to be a dem!
Yeah right, what impressed you? The 3 day's it took her speech writer's to craft, her slander and lie's, or her Caribou Barbie (sorry, Barbie) hairdo?Really, P, I thought u had your own mind, I understand your trying to be fair. But the repuke's will never be fair 2 u or me. So, why???
I thought her speech was a little much, being her first national appearance. High on hatred and rhetoric, low on fact and substance. I think maybe she needs a little more lipstick next time…..
Re: torrrieB – You are so full of crap, you look like Obama! They did not say that, at all….lol. Everyone has actually been praising her address to the people. She made many many points, about her and her oppositions lacking of ability and honesty. For you to spread more liberal lies about her….as everyone knows her credientials are astonishingly better than everyone on the demo ticket COMBINED…well, check it out for yourself…..
You know, she threatened to sue the EPA because they wanted to put polar bears on the endangered species list.
I bet she has one ball gagged in her basement ; )
Didn't expect anything different they knew her speech had to great to win over the American public. I still do not support her or McCain based on her views and their policies.
Check out Biden's view of Obama……."I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy," Biden said. "I mean, that's a storybook, man."….while he finally gets a shot at the White House, after 20 years of attempts, a mand he apparently doesn't think much of picks him as a running mate, lol……geez, what a circus!!
McPalin, the personal attacks don't work anymore. Ask Hillary! What are you going to do about all the problems we have?????
Re: torrrieB – Wow there son CNN? you mean the Clinton News Network? yeah i'm sure they are not too biased. WOOT!! Everquest for ever.
Re: Alice_In_Wonderland "I totally agree! Apparently these people want more war, more debt, and are for the abolishments of our rights. I don't get it. If McCain wins, I will cry, not because I'm mad but because I will be fucking scared." – You wanna know what scares me?
.
I find it terrifying that there is a substantial minority in our country that are just as equally naive and as stupid as you are.
.
Reality is a concept that your feeble mind can't comprehend, so please return to Wonderland, Fantasy Island, the Twilight Zone, Disneyland or whatever alternative universe you came from.
If Republic won…. I imagined A very old man hold a barbie into the White house and turn the USA become a country that like to war and turn the country to be Barbie
Can't wait for Democrat and Republic for face to face debate
she did a great job, and perez…the fact that you listened makes you more informed than tons of other democrats
Country comes first right? So when will there be a discussion about our messed up economy and health care.
To paraphrase Hillary Clinton…"I've got a resume and Obama has a speech he made in 2005". W as his delivery better than Palins? Can he read a teleprompter any better? She knocked it out of the park and brings a measure of toughness that we need in Washington.
Re: MiamiDolphinLover –
agreed
an amazing job perez?are you shitting me?sure she was calm, collected and spoke with eloquence;if you're the vice presdiential nominee you have to have a presence.but did you not listen to anything she said?i cut her off halfway through her speech to watch the daily show make fun of her.OBAMA 08.
I think Sarah Palin was really appealing to REAL families and not trying to sound like some political robot bitch. I think Barack is fooling himself to think he can actually handle leading our country, and I think he's playing a race card for most of his campaign. McCain has the experience, he has the insight, he knows what needs to be done and he's willing to do it. And people that are SOO against this war never stop to take the time to realize the BIGGER picture of what WOULD have happened had the US not interfered, and just on a side note, MY FAMILY are soldiers in this war they aren't to be pitied cause they had to go oversees and actually fight for important issues that DID involve our country. These soldiers KNEW what they signed up for, it wasn't summer camp, it was the MILITARY, they aren't soldiers to look good in uniforms, they're doing what they were TRAINED to do, so shut the fuck about how this war is just so terrible. And just because REPUBLICANS are drilling wells, doesn't make them rednecks, in case you aren't well informed, we're trying to drill new Natural Gas and elemental drills in the UNITED STATES so that we aren't totally reliable on foreign trade for gas, it's more expensive and it puts us in a position to where we're SHIT OUT OF LUCK WITH HIGH GAS PRICES, if we aren't getting what we need from OTHER COUNTRIES so we're attempting to form our own oil & natural gas wells/market in the states that's solely our own.
I thought she spent more time on McCain than she did on herself. The speech was executed very, very well but poorly written. Mediocre at best. Its also so unfortunate that in politics one would have to take shots at the opposition even though Obama has spoken positively and defended Palin and her family and told the media they should back off of her family and stick to the issues at hand. I think McCain felt that if he had a woman running with him he would win over Hillarys supporters, but make no mistake…Palin is no Hillary Clinton and I think that if Obama wins Hilllary would most likely be a part of his cabinet.
Re: moon_the_pimp – You have some major hate problems…..get some work
Re: Ladiv3568 –
Palin's husband was too holding the baby. You all have serious conspiracy theories!
I am so confused with this whole election. I don't know who stands for what anymore. I'm fucking over it. All that I know is that John McCain looks like a zombie from "Night of the Living Dead" and probably won't make it another 4 years. That scares me…alot.
Re: PerezDaVi – Well your gay. Everyone hates you already.
Re: JET – Typical Republican. I'm not going to sink to your level and insult you. I like a good debate but only when the other person is humane and has an open mind. You don't fit that discription. So, please go argue with someone your own age. Say, a 10 year old maybe?
WOW PEOPLE… YOU ARE VOTING FOR SARAH BASED ON THAT SPEECH. SHE DIDNT COVER NO MAJOR ISSUES FACING U.S.A ALL SHE DID WAS BASH OBAMA. ARE YOU SERIOUS… SHE DIDN'T EVEN WRITE HER OWN SPEECH…. PEOPLE WAKE UP AND TAKE YOUR BLINDERS OFF PLEASE……
Re: Mayumi – you're an ignorant bitch if you think that because she's an attractive woman with a brain and not some stupid bimbo in hollywood that she must have been a slut and slept with everyone to get where she is and if you think she should have had an abortion for any reason, you're even more stupid than you sounded before, a HUGE percentage of teenage girls are pregnant and majority of them are more than capable of growing up quick and taking care of their children or even finding a respectable home for them, it's americans like you that shouldn't be allowed to vote for any important issue in our country. you're a disease.
Wait a minute.
Last night, it only *appeared* that Palin went after Obama.
It was actually Matthew Scully who did. Because that's who wrote Palin's speech. He met her for the first time last week.
i'm sorry but watching the speeches at the republican convention for the past couple of days has just given me a clear view of right and wrong.i am a die hard liberal and watching the dmc was so motivational and alive.beautiful moments ensued during every speech.when i turned on the rnc i just watched in horror at these awful people and these filthy rich politicians making these hurtful, brainwashing speeches and i just cant believe republicans dont see it.i try and be open minded to other peoples opinions but when i have such clear understanding of right and wrong, i just dont know why people wouldnt pick obama.
Re: Seriously –
they did say that.
and it was completly uncalled for 2 say that i look like obama. u dont kno who i am!!! u look like a serial killer! i cant believe ur harrassing me cuz of what i believe.
u probrably werent watching, but i was, and they did say that. go do ur research b4 u start hounding some one.
republicans kill me thinkin that their soo smart for voting for ppl who only make the rich richer and poor more poor

all that lady was talk about her counrty family and bash obama.
THE ONLY TIME SHE ACCUALLY TALKED ABOUT ACCEPTING THE NOMINATION WAS AT THE VERY BEGINING AND AT THE VERY END!
she was so consumed with envy and hate that all she did was talk about obama.
She killed it last night! She ripped Obama apart and I loved every minute of it! I think she handled the spotlight, the controversies and her introductions extremely well, and I've been reading the media thinks she was "perfect" too. If ABC or CNN liked it, you know she was great!
Re: khaki1271 "she did a great job, and perez…the fact that you listened makes you more informed than tons of other democrats" – It also makes Perez more informed than most of the idiots that post here without first researching and comprehending the actual facts before they post their foolish and misguided diatribes
Re: amanda1264 – fuck you you fucking ingrate!you republicans are barbarians!
Re: njpaul0129 –
OKAY SO UR TALLING ME FOX NEWS ISNT BIASED???
shut up
Same politics, prettier picture. Yawn. Where is the vision? Where are the fresh ideas to turn around our economic situation? Where are the plans to unite the world against terrorist, so we don't pay ENTIRELY for this war?
Change you can believe in? Yes, Mrs. Palin has a vagina. But other than that, it's the same sound bites all over again. Haven't the Repubs f'd up this country enough?
Another thought, While she was at the PTA bake sales, Obama took his HARVARD degree and started ground up to give back to the community. TO CHANGE the lives of poor people. He's done more to reverse the negative image that the WORLD has on America and Americans in the past year than McCain/Palin will ever be able to do. He speaks to THOUSANDS of everyday people, NOT dozens of preselected ultra conservative white folks.
Re: Karaaa – Real families my ass! She is targeting Rich people, she isn't targeting middle class america, and the poor. gtfooh!
I suspect that she'll use tears at least twice before it's all over with.
And I say the Democrats need to just let her have it and speak only about the business at hand, running this country in a different way than the puppet who's been in office the last 8 years.
Like the Democrats on Larry King are saying now, she said nothing about how she is going to revive the economy. She just picked and picked and picked.
Let her pick at things. Obama and company need to speak about reviving this country, which is in a recession that none of them want to talk about
Re: torrrieB – EXACTLY
SHE IS GREAT!!!! I think she is EXACTLY what is needed for this country! A real person that has the balls to get the job done! GO MCCAIN/PALIN!!!
Re: JT – and you think Palin's 4 years of experience is better ?
Re: Bluebonnet –
Get over Hillary. She didn' t want it. Obama is trying to make decisions to effect positive growth for our country…..not just choose a vagina running mate to win an election. The difference between a LEADER and a Politician.
Re: LS –
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!
I have to say that she touched on many strong point against Obama… Im not sure yet who I will vote for or if I even vote but Obama should have picked Hilary
I believe that Palin made this speech and used it as an attack against Obama! Don't be FOOLED AMERICA!!! It's too early in the game for her to try to convince us of her Pitbull in LIPSTICK drama. I thought her speech was extremely sarcastic!
ALSO….. NO 5 month old baby should be kept awake late at night, in the middle of a roaring crowd and flashing lights.
Babies with Down syndrome have poor muscle tone, problems with their bones and joints, hearing loss, eye problems (like cataracts) and often seizures. A baby with Down syndrome may not cry as much as a normal child, but that does not mean it can be used as a prop in political theater.
Governor Palin, tonight you have demonstrated a complete lack of love, care and respect for your special-needs child. And even more you using him as an excuse to get pity from voters!
V O T E O B A M A!!!!! O B A M A F O R P R E S I D E N T !!!!!
Re: Karaaa – u are ignorant, and you have no room to call someone a bitch, because the think different from what you are thinking! How childish do you sound? NO wonder why you are voting for Mcstain, he loves mindless women like you!
SHE IS FULL OF SHIT
As a PA Voter this speech was ridiculous !!!
She should have really thought it thru before she shot down Community organizing. Is she STUPID ??? Community Organizing is how ordinary people respond to out-of-touch politicians and their failed policies. DUH..her statements were demeaning and useless and you can be sure this swing vote just swung in the DEMS directions. Maybe she should think FAMILY first and disappear.
You can tell who comments here without actually listening to her speech. She bitch-slapped Obama across the floor! She DID say what she's going to do for this country. Not the empty speeches like Obama gives. I was undecided, but after listening to her last night, I'm McCain/Palin all the way.
In the past 2 elections I have supported the Republican ticket. However, after seeing how our country has been led astray I have become an Obama supporter. I respect Obama's position when it comes to a clean race but I think it is far past time for the democrats to throw a few hard punches. McCain's pick of Sarah Palin as his VP running mate is a complete insult to women voters, particularly former Clinton Supporters. This woman stands against everything that Senator Clinton stood for. No one seems to acknowledge the complete hypocrisy displayed by the conservatives. How can a woman stand for pro-abstinence education when it has not even worked on her own child! Additionally, the second you enter this very public race your entire background (inclusive of your children) becomes fair game for public scrutiny. I admire Obama's position to keep children out of this but the reality of the situation is the media are like wolves and they are going to pick on every scrap of meat they can find-even if it involves children…remember the Bush twins?? This pick has been a farce from day one. Palin is toting her experience as the governor of the largest state in the US. However, the state in it's entirety is composed of not even 700,000 people. I give Sarah Palin another week and a half on this ticket before the "bows out" and McCain picks a more legitimate pick-perhaps my state senator Kay B. H.
Re: Ms. Sugar Walls –
Oh good morning,… ya slept in a bit?? You DO realize that ALL politicians read from a telepromptor when giving a speech???? And is it all you can find to use the "skirt" "lipstick" jokes??? I find it not only insulting as a woman, but as a human being living in the 21st century. Keep spewing your hatred and drive by media facts……it only helps Mrs. Palin.
You're right, Perez…. absolutely A M A Z I N G! I cannot wait until her debate with Biden. Bring it on!
Perez, hats off to you for standing strong for your word-even if it collects ridicule from your readers. It doesn't seem to affect them in such a great way because I see the same people commenting on every post you make. Clearly they aren't that peeved! And, the "not enough experience" the GOP is throwing at Obama needs to end, any weight that argument held went out the window the second McCain made his terrible VP pick.
Re: Ms. McGillicutty – People stopped wearing glasses like hers in the 80's.
Barack has standards and he's a Democrat." Barack is a classy guy. Too classy to entertain this hypocrisy and lies coming from the right.
Painfully patronizing …..
Skeletons are waiting to emerge !!

Re: M3chick –
Yawn. OH wait, don't forget she is a woman….who wants to overturn Roe vs. Wade.
I don't know if the country needs another "Family Values"/but can't control my own kids mouthpiece who can read speeches that were practically written by Rush Limbaugh himself!
I thought she was a very good public speaker. Snarky yes but considering the crowd it was welcome. After listening to her speech it didn't change my mind. She still is a Republican who is an extremist. I was especailly upset by her comment that parents with special needs would have a friend at the White House. As a mother of 2 kids with special needs, I wanted to scream. This women wants to be the VP of a party who would sooner kick a kid in the gutter then spend a dime on giving them a helping hand. Love the fetus, but can't be bothered helping if they need any type of social programs once they are born.
After watching this speech I knew that she would swing a lot of voters to her side. I think that their constant jabbing at Obama is absolutely ridiculous. They give you wide views on what they will do but cannot commit to any specifics. It will be a sad day in America if McCain/ Palin are elected. It is highly likely that McCain will not last a full term and this woman will be president which is a lot scarier than Obama being prez. Obama may not have the experience, but I see that as a good thing. His head is in the right place and he will have enough advisors to help him make the decisions that need to be made. He also has the backing of an excellent, experienced VP.
it's going to take more than a good speech to convince all the doubtful (and rightfully so) people…even republicans!
ok. i've had enough of this.

im going to my geology class now
yall have fun
Her speech was great — it was also chock full of lies.
-
-
And it finally dawned on me — Republicans are like the easy pick-up, one night stand chick — all you have to do is lie to her, saying "I love you" and she'll go down for the count every time. And you can lie to her, and use her — time and time again.
-
-the girl - if she was honest with herself - would admit its a lie. But she's willing to stick her head in the sand — and pretend that late Saturday night drunken "I love you" is real - and she allows herself a (with this blindness) to get screwed over and over.
And that's it — doesn't matter how huge the lie is — just tell the republican's what they want to here, and they'll are yours to 'use and abuse.'
Can't believe it took me so long to figure it out.
She and Rudy both rocked the house and really brought to light why McCain and Palin should win the White House. It is obvious this woman walks the walk and is a doer. She is real change.
Obama should try showing up for work and actually doing something than give the White House another run. It is funny that the VP of the Republicans is actually more experienced than the Presidentional nominee of the Dems.
It really showed last night in her speech. She talked specifics something Obama stays away from. Go McCain! Go Palin!
this woman DOES NOT stand for what American women stand for….i dont like her…I feel like she is an act….
1. "It is going to take more that a good speech" Well, a good speech seemed to work for Obama.
2. Sarah Palin is the new black.
3. Hillary must be so happy… we know she wants Obama to lose so she can run in 2012.
It's the republican magic show once again ! We've seen it with Bush and how he got everyone to vote for him (so to speak). I have a funny feeling just by seeing some of the comments that it will happen again. And the American people will wake up from this like someone with a bad hang-over and realize what they've done.
Re: amanda1264 – You sound like a fuckin idiot. 90% of American wealth is not earned.. it is inherited. Corporations and big business prostitue the hard work of average citizens to make sure that their houses in Hampton and other incredibly over priced neighborhoods continue to stand tall. McCain didn't even remember how many house he owned!!!!! What does that say about us as a country. That we are willing to protect our assets than our people. A couple who has worked hard their entire life, has bought their own home.. loses EVERYTHING when they discover that their 4 year old daughter has leukemia. yes you guys make up 95% of the populations wealth..but only 3% of the population. Get your facts right and do a little soul searching. OH an this EDUCATED 20 year old workin on her SECOND degree (more than Palin and McCain combined) is voting for a change.. Obama 08.
oh and Palin did nothing but embarrassed herself and confirmed my thoughts that she is CLUELESS. Thats why she resorted to playground backstabbing and bashing. Grow the fuck up and take care of you slutty ass drunken teenager and her dumb ass boyfriend who's trying to make a buck.
I thought she did an amazing job last night.
I couldn't stop watching!
And I have to also say that Rudy Giuliani killed it last night!!! He was amazing!
Re: carlson – Me, being a realist, know that as a republican the majority of our party will be Caucasian, however I would just like to say that they did show African Americans in the audience, they showed Asians in the audience, and they had Samoans in the audience just to name a few. Hell an African American man made a speech last night.
.
Maybe you could watch more than 10 seconds and not make an ass out of yourself.
Palin is amazing- and very well spoken. It angers me that the media is so focused on her daughter being pregnant- how is that her fault? You can preach to teens all day long– but things happen. Majority of high school students are not virgins, lets be real, it is 2008. Why not focus on her son who is serving in our miltary, fighting for our freedom so we can sit around all day reading about celebrity divorces and looking at croctch shots.
Carrie B— you are so right!
yayy Palin! that woman is one tough broad, i cant help but like her. im not sure if i agree with all of her politics, but as a woman, i am proud that we are finally getting the representation we deserve as leaders of our county. im still not sure who im voting for, but i was defintely impressed with her.
and her daughter being pregneant has NO bearing on her politics whatsoever. all the dems kept saying that when Bill Clinton had an extramarital affair, so why would Palin's personal life hold any bearing to her politics either?
Re: Ms. McGillicutty – yeah, like three! get the fuck out of here so showing 3 black people and 2 asians is universial?
Re: Seriously – Re: Seriously –
I have to respectfully disagree. No lie:
McCain voted with BUSH 90% of the time
Obama is not a liberal. Factually incorrect
McCain hasn't made a MAVERICK move in DECADES
Obama is a HIGHLY educated (harvard is better than Alaska U)
Cokeheads don't end up Editor of the Harvard law Review (very prestigious)
The Harvard Law Review is more impressive than Alaskan PTA
Obama dedicated his life to community service and outreach
Obama is not being TOLD what to do/say by the party.
Again, McCain voted BUSH politics 90% if the time……FACTUALLY CORRECT.
I like McCain and respect his service, but he is the puppet of ULTRA conservatism and simply isn't one who will be able to inspire congress or the senate to work together. Same old US Vs. Them. We need a moderate. NOT a liberal. (on that we agree) Obama is a moderate.
She is catty and lack luster. If she cant get her family under control then how can she expect to get the country under control. She takes cheap shots (cause that is all she has) and her husband work in the oil industry-which means i am sure she will not want to do much about alt. energy sources. This bitch is nuts and it is a cheap gimmick that the republicans are pulling throwing the first (and under qualified i might add ) women up there. If the only glimpse of hope they have is a gimmick, maybe they would consider reviewing what is best for the country and not themselves.
Well, it's nice to see that you can admit she did a great job, even if you don't agree with her positions on certain issues.
I agree that she did a great job, and I hope that people can start focusing on what she brings to the campaign rather than her family's personal issues.
It's not so hard to recite a speech that lots of brilliant speech writers are hired to write half of.
Re: obmrma –
her child being pregnant is NO reflection on her. we all do things opposite of what our parents tell us to do in order to rebel. and sometimes things happen. i am not sure if i am voting GOP but i hate that people are blaming sarah for her daughter being pregenant. that is CRAP. obama was born to an 18 yr old mother, and he has even said to leave the family alone.
All you ass hat Palin bashers are just scared that when this ends the media glare will return to the fact Obama, beside making some nice speeches and buttload of photo ops has NEVER done ANYTHING! Really , name ONE thing he has done! A community leader , WOW, the truth is he wouldn't even be able to lead a pack of cub scouts thru an airport. And you know that and it scares you all! And when you get done thinking that, TELL me how my ASS tastes!
Re: Lauren_G – you should be slapped with a big dick and stfd! Sarah, can't never be black. That is a insult to black people and other minorities! I think that you are talking out of your wobbly asshole. That is insane, this bitch didn't even deliver a shit about what she plan to do with the economy! but you racist are so tuned on the fact, that she attacked obama for speaking the truth! Her snide remarks about him being a community organizer, she doesn't know what it is like to struggle.
I can't stand John McCain, but I kinda like Sarah Palin.
I don't think she's fit to be VP, but she's probably fun to drink beer and shoot guns with.
And her little Corky baby is soooooooo cute. Gush.
Her speech was really good — but seriously, I amazed that I finally figured out the republican mentality:

the ultimate one-night stand — just tell them what they want to hear, regardless if its a lie (like the bartender telling the drunk girl at the bar "I love you, let's party later). She's will to believe it, and bartender gets his way.
-
-
And its the exact same thing for republicans - their "leaders" tell them what they want to hear - and in the face of all falsehoods, the republicans believe and are used and abused by these guys every time.

jeez, I really can't believe it took me so long to figure it out.
