You know you've made it big when others start making covers of your songs. But this remix is a bit different.
It seems that the people at a church in Blacklick, Ohio, aren't too thrilled with Katy Perry's catchy I Kissed A Girl song.
So…..they've decided to change it up a bit.
The Havens Corners Church now has a sign outside with the new lyrics they've added to the song.
It says, "I kissed a girl and I liked it" and adds, "Then I went to hell."
The church pastor, Rev. Dave Allison, says that the sign is intended as "a loving warning to teens" since the Bible states that homosexuality is a sin.
He did admit that the sign has confused some people who don't know the song or get the message.
Guess Katy isn't that big in Ohio.

That's bullshit. I think real Christians don't bully or criticize, much less judge, other people and their sins. I'm gay and with a 300% Christian mother and she's got to be the most nices, non-judgemental, all-embracing woman, ever. She loves me, my boyfriends, my gay friends — everyone. She doesn't feel it's right, and is quick to admit that she believes it's wrong, but never tries to market any of her beliefs to people. She respects boundaries and knows to respect people and love them as they are. For them to post these signs is just another example of idiotic bullying. Not very Christian-like, in my opinion.

It's sad that Christianity has been given such a bad rep, because following God, in my humble opinion, is awesome. For all of you who say "I want to live my life - my way!" - have you thought of all the mistakes you've made that have really hurt you? God just wants us to lean on Him to help us make the right choices, so we don't continue to make stupid mistakes.

what does it mean not to judge? They are a church and they have freedom of religion to believe that. As for "can't judge"- well, our ENTIRE legal system is based on judgement of right or wrong. Everyone on this site JUDGES. All religions have a "right" and "wrong" in their dogma. The ten commandments are NOTHING BUT a judgement of behavior.

I am from around that area, and in my opinion that church and its views in no way represents the majority of Ohioans of even "a lot" of them. Everyone I know loves that song and all that sign does is scream intolerance and ignorance from that church. That is no way to try to reach kids. EDUCATE THEM on facts! I would hate to see the poor confused teen that has to pass that sign everyday and see that this CHURCH, not God, this CHURCH is telling people that the way they were made is wrong and that they will be sent to hell. Totally uncalled for and it should be taken down IMMEDIATELY. If they want to preach that in their own congregation, than so be it, but to publicly display it for all to see is terrible. I don't like the idea of the church trying to SCARE people into being what they believe is correct. If you do believe in God that doesn't mean that you aren't gay or have never experimented. Is that such a bad sin that they are saying everyone will go to hell for doing it? PUH-LEEZ! How many sins do those members of that church commit every single day? How is that any different. If you have done something "wrong" God will forgive you if you ask. I don't go to church anymore, but I do believe in God.
