Tonight, they stressed that Republicans is the party of Lincoln (*also of Frederick Douglas, actually) but that was so 1800's. They only freed the slaves but the Democratic Party passed the Civil Rights Act of 1964. 80% of Republicans may have voted for the legislation (136 out of 171) compared to only 63% of Democrats (153 out of 244), and 71% of the opposition may be by Democrats, the fact of the matter is Democrats controlled the Senate and Congress in 1964 therefore the credit should go to the Dems. Forget the actual number. Repubs are racist. They are only good fighting against slavery, then they want to destroy the middle class and deprive us of our abortions. Vote for the party that opposed the Civil Rights Act but got the credit. Go Dems.

Enough of Bush-McCain which gave us global warming, Perez's obesity, Gustav, rising oil prices (even after a war for oil), and Basic Instinct 2. Obama prophesied that he is the one we have been waiting for. I am not even religious but I am now. Obama's tax plan will give us 5% more after tax income compared to McCain's 3%. But Obama will also tax businesses (who will increase the price of goods, limit workpay, or move off shore). Obama is pro-poor by discouraging getting rich. If all is poor and no one is rich anymore, then we would have finally bridged the wide gap between the rich and the poor. Go Obama.

karl rove had a point though…it was critical for obama to nab a VP candidate who has extential experience, because Obama has NONE.
