According to preliminary estimates, Sarah Palin's speech at the Republican National Convention on Wednesday night scored a higher rating than Hillary Clinton and 'in some cases' higher than Barack Obama.
Yup, more peeps watched the governor from Alaska than Hills!
The preliminary numbers show about 37 million households were tuned in to see the GOP's VP candidate speak.

And her first factual inaccuracy…accepting the nomination for Vice-President of the United States, since she was only nominated for Vice-President of the "Republican Party", not the "United States". The Republican Party would have to win the election for her to be appointed Vice-President of the "United States", and that is not going to happen. Other than her blatant lack of credentials for the job, especially in the very important area of foreign affairs, the U.S.A. is far too sexist to let a woman into the White House, either President or Vice-President. And John McCain is far too elderly to bring the energy that the job requires in the current state of affairs; and Sarah Palin has a family of 5 children, with a grandchild on the way, and she cannot possibly uphold the exceptional commitments that the job requires. She already has a full plate.

This is my age group and MOST of us DON'T Familiarize ourselves with the issues and we tend to Not vote which is so so sad. Rock the Vote was a failur to mobilize young people and if the majority of young people continue down this path, this country is in serious jeopardy. It's sad that it's to the point we IMPORT our intelligence even though we have some of the best learning institutions in the world. Just to add… I just looked at an online poll that asked whether after last night's speech people thought that Palin would be ready to serve as vp, and you know what the result was? 82 percent! You know what's sad? Men will probably not vote for her which makes me INSANE! I am so sick and tired of the sexist bigotry and the events over the past few days have pushed me over the edge! I am so sick and tired of seeing men dominate the power positions (in politics, entertainment, big business, small businesses, you name it!) and do nothing but f*** things up. Palin has ten times the amount of experience of the "community organizer". It is pathetic to see people question her experience yet think that the "community organizer" is capable of running the country just because he gives good speeches. Guess what? Hitler gave good speeches, too, remember? Fidel, too! Oh, and I forgot Hugo Chavez. All really good speakers. I would be embarrassed to say I supported this candidate. Embarrassed! It is no different than saying "OJ didn't do it!", but I guess all of those people are Obama supporters. It's like letting the paper boy run the newspaper. One last thing…All women — democracks, republicans, independents — should be outraged over these events. OUTRAGED! The events of the last week (or last few months actually in light of what happened with Hillary who is obviously more qualified than the community organizer) have really shown that we women have not come far at all. Even an anti-American, inexperienced, muslim-named black man can become president before an experienced, qualified, pro-American woman. Shameful and pathetic.
The good news? Whether we Republicans win or lose in November, Palin is going to be a force in politics in the years to come. I believe everyone has a choice in everything they do whether it's bad or good. The abortion topic I think Americans have talked the shit out of it! Most women that have abortions are in their teens early 20’s that are from poverty, alcoholics and/or drug addicts. Now when a person that is a drug addict or an alcoholic, they don’t care much about what they do to their bodies when in ingesting drugs/alcohol, do you think they will care once their pregnant?…..no. So that fetus is also ingesting drugs/alcohol therefore the fetus which will be a baby will be born with God knows what…Then will the mother will give that child up??? Most likely not, and if the young mother does give the child up, most American couples don’t really like adopting from north America because most children are given up in such circumstances with drug/alcohol related illnesses. If you were paying attention at all you would have heard that he is actually helping out 98% of Americans with tax breaks, especially those who make less than 250,000. Unlike Bush's, I mean McCain's plan of giving tax-cuts to the top 4%. He's going to help get rid of the deficit by cutting funds or shutting down programs that no longer work and are just sitting there. There are plenty more, but I'm not your teacher. I'll admit; I watched parts of the DNC, including Hillary Clinton's speech (which I found exceptionally moving), but I did miss Senator Obama's speech. I didn't feel bad about missing it because, being a staunch democrat, I know where my candidate stands on the issues that are critical to me and critical to my vote.
I did, however, watch the RNC, especially Sarah Palin's speech. I made sure to tune in mainly because I know very little - if nothing at all - about this woman who has made it onto the Republican ticket at the 11th hour and I wanted to see what kind of extraneous things she had to say (or, rather, what her speech writers wrote for her to say). I think a lot of people tuned in for that reason: to hear what she had to say and educate themselves about someone we know very little of.

I think a lot of people watched her more than Hillary and Obama because people of both parties wanted to know how SARAH PALIN is. They know HIllary. and starting to know obama.
No Perez Obama had one million more viewers then her he had 38 million while she had 37 million… it was on CNN.
i just think its ridiculous that all of the arguments palin made in order to sound qualified for the part she stole from barack obama. in arguing her own qualifications for vice president, she simply helped back why obama is qualified, and of course more qualified than herself to take office. i think the republicans are pathetic in their attempts to "get back" at the democrats and i just think that their support for such a pair as mccain and palin is simply an uneducated one. and on top of it all, i think most people should be offended that the republicans had a good laugh at any community organizers that actually try to make a real difference in this country on a small..very classy republicans!

Whenever someone doesn't agree with another's views, the personal attacks ensue.Sure, I dislike nearly everything this woman stands for. However, calling her names and insulting the woman says a lot more about me than her, and takes credibility from whatever point I'm trying to make.
While I think McCain could have a made a better choice, I have to applaud that move. I also see a bit of a double standard. Inexperience exists on both sides of this, but it's balanced out by a running mate with years of it. Again, this goes for both sides. But, both sides seem to conveniently forget that when attacking eachother. Instead of taking cheap shots, they should both concentrate more on telling us HOW they are different and WHY their "vision" is better than that of their opponent's. I'm really getting sick of the name calling crap and all these divisive politics. While it is perfectly okay to disagree on the means to getting this country back on track, it's sad that people get vicious about it.
By the way, it's interesting how these politicians are able to go on camera, and cause people to rip eachother apart on forums (like this one), when off camera they are all buddy buddy with eachother.
For now, I will try and be objective. I will read up on FACTS, and then decide. I cannot sit here and bash one side without bashing the other. Because quite frankly it seems that both sides are in it for something more than just "country first".
